Chapter 1
Robin the Boy Wonder always was a package deal. Ward to the Dark Knight, he tagged along for his fair share of adventures in the grimy and sooty city of Gotham City. He had seen a lot more than others at nine years old should've saw – Hell, he had done more than what the average grown-up could've handled in itself.
But his years of being in the Gotham Knight's shadow had long since passed. After a decorated career of seven years as the Dark Knight's ward, the once plucky adolescent transformed into a seasoned, albeit still jeering crime-fighter in his own right. But he wasn't ready to fly solo as of yet – he needed a wingman
Superboy wasn't like the average teenage boy - mainly due to the fact that he was born a few months ago. The clone of the worldwide famous Man of Steel and his arch-nemesis Lex Luthor, the young freak of generic nature was created to obey his every command and destroy everything that Superman stood for - but like an unruly teen against the system, he did the exact opposite.
The two sidekicks met each other after their respective fathers joined forces in the wake of an invasion from Mongol. Despite their clear-cut differences, the two young men hit it off fast – surprisingly so, at that. Even after Mongol's defeat from the combined forces of their fathers and theirselves, the two continued to build a friendship – a tight-knit bond that would culminate in the idea of their own Dynamic Duo...
With their fathers' permissions (and a rather convenient donation of a hidden bunker via Wayne Industries) the duo of Young Justice was born. The two sidekicks fought evil wherever they could – Star City, Central City, Metropolis, they even fought some weird Shark-man from Hawaii. Despite their clear successes, they knew that a strength of two could only accomplish so much – but luckily for them, they would find themselves a ringer in the form of a slutty Demigoddess...
"We got any new choosers?" Superboy asked, spinning around on an office chair. "That list was as long as Batman's cape."
"That hurts Kon," Robin spat in feigning offense, before letting out a dry chuckle. "But yeah, we got someone comin' in. One of Wonder Woman's girls."
Superboy turned around, his brow arching up. "Seriously? I thought Donna Troy was with the Titans?" He asked in confusion.
"Not the same chick gene pool," Robin tsked. "Her name's Cassie Sandsmark, she's a demigoddess. And she should be coming in right about–"
Suddenly, the door swung open. "Crap, am I late? I'm so so—rry!"
The two sidekicks perched up in their seats upon seeing the stunning beauty before them. She was a fair-skinned doll with platinum curly-blonde hair, shimmering red lips in a nervous smile, and deep blue eyes that carried an undeniable warmth.
