After ”Trouble in Tokyo” – a Teen Titans fanfic.

The five heroes had only been home from Tokyo for two weeks, but already things had returned to normal. Well, almost normal.
Robin and Starfire had been an item for more than a month. Robin had finely accepted his feelings towards Starfire after he thought he had lost her in the battle against Brushogun at the start of their stay in Japan.

The group of heroes had ended up staying there for much longer then they had anticipated.
Beast Boy had been dragging them all over the country. Normally he was the last one getting up in the morning, but being in Japan had done something to the boy.
He was now the first one to get up and it wouldn’t have bothered the others if he had just used the time responsibly. But the green teenager had instead been banging on their doors at 6 a.m. and yelling for them to get up. Raven had eventually gotten so annoyed with the changeling that she had used her powers to give him a major wedgie to which Cyborg had been laughing his ass off and high-fived Raven.

Robin and Starfire had managed to sneak off from time to time and spend the day together. They had both been nervous at first, not really knowing how to react around each other. But it didn’t take them long to overcome their shyness and relax around once more in each others company. And it didn’t take them long to grasp the art of making out.
As a sign of love and trust Robin had even taken his mask off for her when they were alone so she could see his eyes. She had just stared at them for a long time with a big smile on her lips before she had lifted her hands up to carefully caress his eyebrows.
He had smiled at her reaction, enjoying the feelings her fingers made as they slowly explored the unfamiliar area of his face. Her touches had been so gentle as they swept across his features and he couldn’t help himself from bending over and kiss her.

All of Japan had welcomed the five heroes where ever they went. Especially the girls had been giving the green teenager a warm welcome to an degree where even he got scared. Whenever he saw a big crowd of girls approaching he turned himself into an small animal and hid on one of his friends just to get some peace. Surprisingly Raven had allowed him to hide in her hoot and it had soon become his favorite hiding place.

People had quickly accepted Robin and Starfire as a couple. It helped that pictures of them holding hands and even kiss had been going around the world thanks to Japanese paparazzis who had been following the couple whenever they had a chance. However it was easy for the couple to avoid them whenever they and their cameras were detected. Starfire simply grabbed Robin’s hands and flew off.

The first time the rest of the gang had caught the two making out Cyborg and Beast Boy had immediately started to tease them and make smooching sounds while Raven had just sighed and mumbled something about the guys needing to grow up.

Three weeks had passed with a blink of the eye and the heroes had eventually decided to return home to Jump city.
Titans East had been looking after for the city for them while they were away. The returning group was surprised to find that Titans East had sprung a party for them to celebrate their home coming. They had gathered most of the of the young heroes from the battle against The Brotherhood Of Evil to help with the celebration.

Most of the young heroes had come over to Robin and Starfire and congratulated them for becoming a couple. More than once did the word “Finely” escape some ones lips.
Menos and Mas were the only two not coming over to congratulate and they avoided Robin throughout the entire party. He had stolen their Starfire away from them before they even had a chance to hit on her.

It hadn’t taken long before the girls had pulled Starfire aside in hope of getting some juicy details, leaving the guys alone with Robin. Speedy had elbowed Robin in the side and whispered something to him that made his gut turn into a tight ball of dread. “If you hadn’t made a move on her I would! Right now she could have been my girlfriend!”
Robin had nervously replied that Starfire would never have accepted Speedy’s advances towards her, but the ball in his gut were still tight as he thought about how close he had been to losing her.

The girls had occupied the sofa area and placed Starfire in the middle of them all. Even Raven sat amongst the girls instead of flying off to her room as she would normally do. She didn’t say anything though, just sat there.
The girls kept asking Starfire for details about her and Robin, but most of the time they didn’t get an answer as Starfire just replied that she didn’t do the kissing and telling. It was something between her and Robin. The girls did however succeed in finding out that Robin and Starfire had only been making out and noting more than that by bombarding Starfire with questions.
After a while they grow tired of Starfire not giving them any answers and moved on to talk about Jinx’ and Kid Flash’s relationship. Jinx were on the other hand being much more open to tell about her relationship with the fastest kid alive and soon the girls had an heated discussion about the art of kissing.
Some of the guys couldn’t help but overhear what the girls were talking about and more than one of the guys suddenly had blushing cheeks. Others were looking intrigued at the group of female heroes.

The groups had quickly broken up when Beast Boy, Cyborg and Aqua Lad had returned with pizzas. Everyone had dashed to the food and soon the T-tower was filled with sounds of eating people, music and people playing videogames.

Robin and Starfire had been separated all through the party by all the people wanting to speak with them. Their eyes had met across the group of dancing people and he made a gesture towards the roof. She had just nodded. In matter of minutes they had both manage to sneak away and met up on the roof. They had grabbed each other’s hands and walked towards the edge to sit down. They both just sat there with an arm around each other and watched the stars until the sun began to rise.

It had been another long day of fighting crime and most of the team had gone to bed. Only Robin and Starfire were still up. It was nice that it was just the two of them. Beast Boy and Cyborg had been making stupid comments and catcalls at the couple all night like they did every night before going to sleep. Tonight Raven had simply grabbed the two guys by their ears and dragged them out of the common room with the words “GO TO BED!”

Raven had been acting like a big sister to the couple ever since they had found together. It was like something had awoken inside the quiet girl during their trip to Japan. Like she finally had found some inner peace.
At first the team had been worried about the shift in her behavior, but she had told them that she had found a spell to better control her powers and she was now allowed to feel a little. The team had quickly gotten used to the softer Raven and she had finely been a little more outgoing.

It was thanks to Raven that Robin and Starfire for once could sit alone and watch a movie. They were watching the movie Titanic since they both was in the mood for a sad romantic film.
Robin sighed happily as he enjoyed the feeling of Starfire’s head resting on his chest. She was gently stroking his arm to a point where it almost tickled and Robin was having a hard time focusing on the movie. He loved the smell of the shampoo she used, a rose scented one, and he took a deep breath to better get a scent of it. She felt so warm as her body leaned against his and he hugged her even tighter into him, content with just sitting there with her.

Starfire enjoyed the close contact with the man she loved. She had been dreaming of this ever ever since they had met the first time. She tucked herself even closer into him as he held her tighter and she sighed. The sound of his beating heart was so relaxing to her.
She was still watching the movie and something in it puzzled her.
“Robin?” She asked with a soft voice.
She could feel a vibration spreading throughout his chest as he responded with a Mmmm?
“Why is he drawing her without any garments? Would her mother not be furious if she were to find out?”
Robin opened his eyes and looked into her big emerald eyes and smiled. “Well, sometimes love makes you do crazy things.”
“Ohhh….” She said and laid her head back down on his chest. “Is it an earth custom to draw your loved one without their garments?” She asked soon after in a completely innocent way.

Robin’s face turned red as a picture of a naked Starfire lying on a couch only wearing a piece of jewelry around her neck popped into his head. He had to cough several times before he was cable of answering her.
“N…no…. not really. It’s normally only artists who draw a naked body as a part of their art.”
‘And perverts.’ He thought to himself.
“Ohhh… I understand now.” She responded.

Starfire sat quietly and watched the rest of the movie. Robin on the other hand had forgotten all about it because the picture of a naked Starfire kept interrupting him. He just hoped and prayed that Starfire wouldn’t notice the major boner he had at the moment, which was hard since she was only inches away.

Robin was surprised to feel something wet on his chest and looked down. Starfire was crying, her tears ran down her cheeks and landed on his chest.
“Star?” He placed a finger under her chin and lifted her face so he could see her in the eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“It is a sad movie. But I am happy that in death they were finally able to be together.” Starfire said and whipped away a tear.

“Uhm… did I interrupt something?”
Both Robin and Starfire blushed and stood up. “Oh uh we were just getting ready to go to bed.” Robin said as he cursed Beast Boy in his thoughts for interrupting them. Starfire kisses Robin goodnight flew into her room.
“Dude. I’m really sorry.” Beast Boy said and walked back to his room, leaving an sulking Robin in the common room.

The next morning.

Robin was taking a cold shower in attempt to wake up. He hadn’t been sleeping very well during the night and he wasn’t in the best of moods.

He had been dreaming of Starfire. That was not something new, but in this dream she had been naked and was teasing Robin with her gorgeous body. “Where did you hear that?” Raven asked and looked at Beast boy who just sat with a silly smile on his face. Raven just shook her head and sighed.

Suddenly Starfire placed a big plate of waffles in front of Robin. The waffles looked normal, but Robin couldn’t help himself looking over to Cyborg a little fearful. Starfire had a very special taste in food and it rarely suited the human tongue. But Cyborg just winked and gave him the thumbs up sign. Robin took a piece of waffle into his mouth and was prepared for the worst. But to his surprise the waffle tasted normal; actually they tasted even better than Cyborg’s.
Robin looked at Starfire who eagerly awaited his judgment and he wondered when she had learned to cook human food.

“Wow Star! They taste great!” Robin told her and smiled as he put another piece into his mouth and happily chewed on it. Starfire was so happy to hear this that she flew over and gave him a hug, almost giving him a Heimlich.
Robin enjoyed the rest of the meal. The thought of her learning to cook prober food for his sake made him feel all warm inside. This just showed how much she cared for him.

Robin used most of the day training in the T-tower’s gym. He wanted to get a good night’s sleep and it usually helped to make himself exhausted by training hard. Robin just stood there and stared in disbelieve. Had he really been that obvious?

Weeks past and Robin’s frustration grew for each passing day.

If it wasn’t for his intensity during the make out sessions she would have feared losing him.

A knock on the door surprised her and she put her book aside to go open the door.
“Yes?” She asked and waited for an answer. Who could it be at 1 a.m.?
“It’s me.”
She recognized Robin’s voice and opened the door. “Greetings Robin. What are you doing here at this hour?”
“May I come in?” He asked with a slightly shaking voice.
She moved aside to let her boyfriend enter her room. Then she closed the door and turned towards him. He looked nervous.
“Robin? Is something not as it should be?” She asked concerned and took his gloved hands in hers.

The sound of Robin’s beating heart soon made her drowsy and before long she drifted to sleep.
