Dreaming Of Gossamer Wings
“Titans!” A voice cried through the darkness, startling the massive, hulking beast out of its rage. It looked around quickly, but couldn’t see anything in the pale glow of the moon and stars high overhead. Its rock-hard body scraped against itself as it moved, looking through the darkness for any sign of what it knew by now was coming. A growl slipped from its throat, and it clenched its fists at its sides. “GO!”
Cinderblock whirled in time to see a white streak coming right up on it. It wound up and threw one hand straight at them, but they easily dodged as the last second, letting its arm embed into the ground before the two quick, but pudgy forms leapt up onto its forearm. “Mas Y Menos lucha de nuevo!” They shouted in glee. Cinderblock brought his arm hand around, but they had already vanished by the time it brought its arm crashing down, smashing his own arm further into the pavement. Its left arm was pulverized under the assault, and a hideous shriek erupted from its throat.
“This is the thing Robin thinks we can’t handle?” Another voice said from the top of a nearby building. Cinderblock turned his gaze upward to see a scrawny man in a mask standing on top of a nearby building, his costume vaguely familiar but holding a bow-and-arrow clutched in his hands. “What does he think we are, 8 year olds?” The figure smirked.
“Qué!?” Mas Y Menos streaked up the building beside him, looking incensed.
“You heard me, half-pints.” The man leapt from the top of the building, landing on top of a nearby fire escape as a volley of arrows launched from the bow in his arms. They came down around Cinderblock like rain drops, each of them exploding on contact. Cinderblock roared as both his body and the street around him was pulverized by the assault, driving him further back into the street.
Cinderblock glared up at his attacker, then whirled when he heard a whooshing sound from behind him. Another man with a blue and black outfit, and hauntingly deep black eyes was standing over what looked like a manhole cover, from which a powerful jet of water was keeping him aloft. “Enough games you guys. You know better than to bicker when we’re on duty.” He leapt from the waterspout and landed on the ground, raising his hands high above his head, whirling them around each other.
The water from the spout moved into his grasp, splitting inter watery tendrils that wove around each other like strings until they weaved into a sinuous reptilian form. He thrust one hand forward, the water plunging around the watery form until it grew to massive proportions, slamming into Cinderblock and sending him stumbling back. The water currents wrapped through the air around it, engulfing Cinderblock like a serpent constricting its prey. Cinderblock struggled against it, but the currents were too powerful to allow it to move.
“Awww, a present for me?” A feminine, but not exactly softer, voice spoke. Cinderblock turned his gaze upward toward the full moon, against which another figure was silhouetted, with hair up in a pair of buns and a pair of thin, translucent wings sticking upward from its back. “It’s kind of ugly though. I think I’m gonna return it!” It leapt from the top of the building, its wings buzzing as it streaked down toward the ground, its silky black skin and yellow and black outfit soon becoming visible.
She streaked right up in front of Cinderblock, bringing one of her fists back. It slammed hard into the monster’s face, sending it stumbling back into the side of the building, crashing through it in a shower of dust and debris. Its attacker landed on the ground with her hands on her hips as her teammates formed around her, waiting to see if it would get back up. When it stayed down, they all stood up straight.
“Alright. Fantastic teamwork, guys.” Bumblebee said with a pleased smile on her face. “I think we’re finally getting this whole team thing down pat.”
“Hurrah.” Speedy cheered, unenthusiastically throwing one fist into the air while yawning into his other hand. “Can we go home now? It’s almost two in the morning. Nothing, superhero or mouse, is meant to be awake this late.”
“Heh. Yeah, I guess it is getting kind of late.” Bumblebee smirked. “And don’t think this means you won’t be getting up bright and early for training tomorrow morning. We’re good, but they’re still better.”
“Of course they’re better. They have several years of experience on us. We’re all used to working alone except for Nacho and Burrito over there.” Speedy jerked his thumb toward Mas Y Menos, who narrowed their eyes angrily when he mentioned them. “Who I KNOW can speak English and just refuse to, to tick me off!”
“Gilipollas.” Mas Y Menos muttered under their breath in unison.
“See!? I bet you they just swore at me! I know they did!” Speedy exclaimed. Bumblebee sighed and rolled her eyes, looking to Aqualad for help. He glanced back, then looked over her shoulder, his eyes going wide as a massive shadow blocked out the moon behind her. Bumblebee blinked, then slowly turned to find Cinderblock standing behind her, hunched over in pain but looking rather angry.
One massive granite hand raised above its head, and came barreling down on top of Bumblebee. Caught off-guard, Bumblebee screamed and stumbled back. The hand never landed however, interrupted by a massive blue laser that erupted in the air around them, slamming into its face with enough force to send it hurtling onto the pavement again, already wounded as it was from the previous battle. The Titans East looked back to see Cyborg approaching them along the street, adjusting the powerful cannon mounted on his arm.
“Y’all should take note.” Cyborg said as he approached. His tone was chiding, but he had a friendly smile on his face. “Lock up the bad guy first, THEN go back to beating on each other. Keeps the unwanted surprises to a minimum.”
“I think it’s a lesson well-learned.” Aqualad looked back at Cinderblock’s unconscious form. When he noticed the look in Bumblebee’s eye he smirked and turned to walk toward the massive stone-pile. “Come on guys, let’s take care of this.”
“We can’t carry this thing. You, Bumblebee, and Cyborg are the ones with super strength here.” Speedy complained.
“Just come on.” Aqualad grabbed his arm and yanked him along behind him. Mas Y Menos snickered to each other mischeviously and followed, leaving Bumblebee and Cyborg standing alone under the soft glare of the moon. Bumblebee adjusted her tight top and approached Cyborg, who watched with a smile on his face and a gleam in his eye. When she was close enough Bumblebee smiled… then smacked him across the face.
“Yo! What’s the deal!?” Cyborg exclaimed.
“You didn’t have to show me up in front of my team! It’s hard enough being a woman in a position of power without having some man come riding in on a white horse to save me.” Bumblebee huffed.
“Okay, next time I WON’T save you from becoming a blot on the pavement.” Cyborg smirked.
“You better not! Humph!” Bumblebee turned away from him irritably, crossing her arms over her chest. “What the heck are you doing out here anyway?”
“I was getting a midnight snack when I heard the alarm go off in your sector. Thought I’d swing by and see how y’all were doing.” Cyborg put one hand to the back of his neck somewhat nervously, looking away from her. “Don’t take it personally, I just feel kind of responsible for you guy… er… people.” Bumblebee smirked. “And I wanted to make sure you’d be okay.”
“And the verdict?” Bumblebee asked.
“It looks like you’re doin’ just fine.” Cyborg smiled. Bumblebee looked up at him, then looked away again, a slight blush creeping onto her cheeks. “It looks like you’ve really whipped those guys into shape.”
“We still have a long way to go.” Bumblebee replied softly. “We’re still amateurs compared to you.”
“Everyone starts out as amateurs. The important part is that you get better, and grow into a butt-kicking powerhouse.” Cyborg grinned. “And I know you got it in you.”
“Thanks.” Bumblebee turned to look up at him, her eyes boring into his. His human eye stared back a bit confusedly, while his glowing red robotic eye glowed through the darkness of the night around them. “For everything, Cyborg. I’m not sure I said this before, but if it wasn’t for you, I never would’ve had a chance like this. To lead my own team of heroes, to become something greater than myself.”
“Uh… don’t sweat it. Really.” Cyborg turned away from her suddenly. “You should get back to your tower with your team.”
“Cyborg, I think we should talk a bit-“ Bumblebee began before she was interrupted.
“There’s nothing to talk about Bumblebee.” Cyborg replied quickly. “Tell the others I’ll see y’all around some time. I really haven’t come around often enough. Never got my title back from Menos.” He walked away into the darkness, leaving Bumblebee staring after him in confusion. When he was out of sight she shook her head and slapped herself for getting so sentimental.
“Get a grip, girl.” She chided herself. With that her gossamer wings began to hum and she took to the air, flying back toward the Titans East Tower, where her teammates would already be resting after a successful mission. She landed on the upstairs balcony and walked inside, looking down into the living room area where Mas Y Menos were playing video games against each other, and Aqualad was reclining on the couch munching on a stick of celery.
Bumblebee beat her wings and floated slowly down into the living room, landing gracefully on the carpet. “Speedy already hit the hay?”
“Yup.” Aqualad replied lazily. “How did things go with Cyborg?”
“Vague and confusing as ever.” Bumblebee sighed and approached the couch. Aqualad politely swung his legs off of the couch and sat up so she could sit beside him. “For a second I thought he would actually connect with me for once, but no. He walks away for the fifth time this month, and I’m left looking like the stupid lovesick idiot again. I’m getting tired of this dance. Maybe I should just give it up, he obviously doesn’t like me.”
“Or he’s afraid.” Aqualad said reasonably. “He’s not exactly your average guy, maybe he’s just worried that not being human would make him unable to really be with you.”
“Oh please. Does he really think I’m that shallow?” Bumblebee rolled her eyes. “I don’t care if part of his body is robotic any more than he cares that I have wings growing from my back. You… you don’t think he cares about that do you?”
“I doubt it.” Aqualad smirked. “Stop putting pressure on yourself, Bee. And stop putting pressure on him. Just be yourself.”
“I guess. Thanks Laddie.” Bumblebee smiled and leaned over to hug her friend lightly before standing up from the couch. “I’m getting kinda tired too, I’m going to hit the sack. Make sure Mas Y Menos get to sleep as soon as they finish their game.”
“Will do. Goodnight Bee.” Aqualad smiled. Bumblebee smiled back before turning to head into the back of the tower, stretching her back out as she went. She ventured back into her bedroom, turning on the light and letting out a yawn as she entered. She pulled off her top, carefully, pulling it past her thin gossamer wings. They fluttered once they were free as she pushed her boots and pants off, leaving her clad only in a pair of plain black panties. She pulled the ponytails out of her hair, letting her shining black hair fall across her shoulders in a wave as she climbed into the bed.
“Mmmm…” Bumblebee yawned, pulling the silky blankets up across her body. “I sometimes forget how good something as simple as a comfy bed can feel…” She rolled over onto her stomach, curling up into a ball with her wings poking out the top of the blanket. “Need to…” She yawned. “Have nights of rest more often…”

Cyborg walked through the dark tower up toward his room again, his heavy footsteps casting cold metallic echoes through the hollow hallways. He stopped at the door to his room and pushed it open, but he stopped when his eye scanner picked up a heat signature walking down the hallways toward him with footsteps so light even his mechanical ears couldn’t pick them up.
“Out for a late-night stroll?” Raven’s calm, collected voice asked.
“Went to check up on the Titans East.” Cyborg replied smoothly. “I think they’re going to do just fine.”
“That’s the fifth check-up this month.” Raven commented.
“I worry about them.” Cyborg replied, refusing to meet her gaze.
“How is she?” Raven asked smoothly. For a while Cyborg refused to respond, but Raven didn’t back down. Nor did she press the issue, waiting for him to heave a sigh and turn back to her.
“What, have you been poking around my head?” Cyborg asked.
“No. I’m just observant.” Raven replied. “You know, if you like her, it would be best to make some kind of move. I can tell she likes you too, and if you wait around sitting on your hands she’s going to eventually move on.”
“Like you know anything about relationships, Raven.” Cyborg shot back irritably. “You don’t know anything about them.”
“I know they require work, and a willingness to make them work. But no relationship can work without a starting point, and it’s up to you to provide that.” Raven countered in her irritatingly calm way. “I’ve watched Bumblebee make attempt after attempt only to watch you walk away, and then I watch you come marching back into Titans Tower like you were the one who was just left by the side of the road.”
“She deserves more, alright?” Cyborg exclaimed suddenly, whirling on Raven with anger burning in his blood. Raven actually looked surprise, taking a swift step back away from him. “There are certain things… certain things I can’t give her. She deserves to be held in a pair of warm arms, walk down the street holding a warm, tender hand… I can’t offer her even those simple things, how can I possibly offer her a relationship she could really be happy with? Answer me that.”
“Isn’t it up to her what would make her happy?” Raven asked simply.
“She may think it could work… but it can’t be a real relationship. I can’t be with anyone Raven. I’m not nearly human enough.” Cyborg turned away from her to push open the door to his bedroom. “Nobody could be happy sleeping next to a two ton hunk of steel at night. She would be better off finding someone who can give her a warm embrace. I just don’t have enough to offer her.” He marched into his room and closed the door behind him, leaving Raven standing in the cold, unfeeling hallway.
“It seems to me you have more to offer than most guys can ever dream.” Raven said softly before turning to walk down the hall with her soft, silent footsteps slipping across the steel floor. “If it’s your body that makes you hesitate, what would you do if I removed it from the equation?” She made her way up the stairwell, emerging onto the roof of Titans Tower. The chill night air whipped across her body, and she held her cloak about her tightly against it.
She approached the side of the roof, her eyes glowing with a soft pearl light as she drew her legs up, hovering over the edge of the roof. Her hand released her cloak, letting it flap violently in the wind behind her as she began to chant, ignoring the biting wind against her exposed flesh. “Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos… Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos…” She chanted softly, a dark form slipping free from her body, flapping into the night sky before streaking down the side of Titans Tower. Raven’s consciousness flew with it, her physical body fading into the distant background.
She plunged through the wall, her black raven’s body landing lightly on one of the machines that lined Cyborg’s room. He was lying on a heavy steel table in the middle of the room, his body darker than normal as his systems recharged for the night. She could still see his mind actively working, bolstered by the electronic components present therein. She flapped over to the table and landed above his head before plunging inside of it.
She found herself floating in an idyllic setting, with a large, elegant mansion in the background. A boy squealed in delight and ran up to his mother, his arms flying around her neck. She laughed as well, holding him close and stroking the back of his head with a tender touch. “I’m glad to see you too, Victor. I told you I’d be back… and I’d never lie to you. I will always come back to you.”
“I don’t want to leave you again, mommy!” Young Victor Stone shouted into her shoulder. “I want to go with you, everywhere!” The young woman chuckled, just holding the boy close as she turned to walk back to the mansion. Raven narrowed her eyes, but decided to respect her friend’s privacy and not pry into his mind anymore. She raised one hand and a tendril of invisible energy slipped into the essence of Cyborg’s dream/memory, anchoring it to her mind.
She turned and flew from his mind, plunging through the wall of Titans Tower out into the dark night. Her soul self flew through the darkness, impervious to the cold, biting wind as she swooped through the night. Soon the Titans East Tower hove into view, sticking up out of the ocean like the Loch Ness monster rearing its mighty head and howling at the pale moon.
The black raven plunged through the side of the Titans East building, flowing through the winding hallways until she located Bumblebee’s room and plunged inside, landing on the nightstand beside the bed. Bumblebee was snuggled into the blankets, her silky black skin outlines by the pale moonlight filtering in through the window as a mass of black hair swept across her bare shoulders. Her expression was peaceful, though a bit sad.
The raven leapt from the bed, its wings flapping through the darkness before plunging into Bumblebee’s mind, floating down into the darkness, reforming into Raven’s real body once she entered the dream properly. She floated through a starry night sky, looking around interestedly. She was tempted to see what the Bumblebee would be dreaming about, but she didn’t want to invade her privacy without just cause. So she raised her hands, reshaping the dream world around her as she faded from immediate sight.
Cyborg found himself standing in a cold gray hallway that looked familiar. In fact, it was the hallway in front of Bumblebee’s room in the Titans East Tower. “What the…?” Cyborg looking around in surprise, but found that there was no other exit from the hallway. The hallways were closed off on either side. “Is this another trick? Is the tower under attack?” Cyborg raised his right arm, trying to activate his cannon… but nothing happened.
In shock, Cyborg looked down to see that his familiar cold, steel hand had been replaced with one of flesh and blood. He was wearing nothing but a pair of blue boxer shorts. “Whoa…” His eyes went side as he ran one hand over his arm, feeling every muscle and vein in his arm. He could feel everything, from the touch of his hand to the slight chill that permeated the hallway. “Can this be a dream? It feels so real.”
He looked up at the door in front of him, the only way to go from here. He gripped the doorknob and walked through it slowly, emerging into a bedroom decorated in black and gold, illuminated only by the pale moonlight that glittered against various objects, casting a radiant aura over the body of the girl snuggled into the sheets in front of him. Her hair swept down across her face as she squirmed slightly into the sheets, her lithe body obviously curled up underneath them.
“Bumblebee?” Cyborg approached the bed, speaking softly. “Hey, I think something weird is going on here.” He reached out to shake her shoulder, somewhat surprised when he actually felt the smooth, bare flesh of her shoulder under his hand. Bumblebee’s eyes opened slowly and she looked up groggily, the blanket shifting to reveal her bare back. She looked up at him in surprise.
“C… Cyborg?” She sat up in surprise, gripping the top of her blanket and holding it up to cover most of her body. “What happened to you? You’re… you’re normal!”
“I wish I knew. I went to recharge, and then I just woke up outside your door like this.” Cyborg looked down at his own hand, opening and closing his fists. No whir of gears and servos, just the flexing of muscle and bone. “This must be a dream… a real dream. Normally all I get are memories, drawn from the main hard drive that was made to replace that section of my brain…”
“It sure seems like a dream to me.” Bumblebee blushed slightly. “If it’s not, this is a seriously awkward moment.” She coughed. Cyborg looked down at her, and it suddenly dawned on him what her bare shoulders would mean.
“Then I’m glad it is a dream.” Cyborg agreed, his own cheeks becoming slightly flushed.
“So, if this is a dream…” Bumblebee looked up at him, smiling. “I… I guess it’s safe to say something I’ve wanted to say to you… the real you. I mean, I know I’m new to this whole team thing, and being leader is a way bigger burden than I thought it would be. Sometimes I don’t know if I can handle it tomorrow, if we’ll have a mission we can’t handle, or I managed to tick the others off and break up the team.”
“That’s why I’ve decided to leave the leadership to Robin.” Cyborg replied. He approached the bed and sat down beside her, putting one hand on her knee through the blanket. She looked into his eyes. “Things are much simpler when you’re just ordered to build and/or smash stuff.”
Bumblebee chuckled. “I can imagine. It’s hard being the leader… sure the others are nice, and Aqualad is there to listen… but it’s still like there’s this wall there. Because I make the decisions, they all look at me differently than they do at each other.” She sighed deeply, looking down at the floor. “I guess that’s the burden of being a leader. I just didn’t know it would be so… lonely.” She wrapped her arms around herself tightly, hugging the blanket to her chest.
“If I could… I would be there for you in a second, Bumblebee.” Cyborg reached over and put his hands on her shoulders. She looked up at him slowly, her eyes half-closed. “And at least you still have a chance to find someone who can be there for you… mentally, physically. I can give you one… but not the other.”
“I only need one… Cyborg…” Bumblebee stared at him, her eyes shining in the pale moonlight filtering in through the window. Cyborg had never seen her with her hair down before. It was a look he found himself liking more with every moment, watching it sweep against her bare shoulders as her head moved, swaying in the gentle breeze that filtered through the open window. Her silken wings were swaying against her back, occasionally twitching with a soft buzzing sound.
“Victor…” He said softly, his hands gently squeezing the flesh of her bare shoulders. “Call me Victor. I’m not Cyborg right now.”
“Karen.” She replied with a slight smile. “Call me Karen.” Victor smiled and moved closer to her, his hands gripping her small shoulders. She moved closer to him, her grip on the blanket slipping until she let it fall to the bed. It slipped down her slim frame, revealing her chest to be outlined in the pale moonlight. The tips of her breasts pressed against Victor’s chest as he moved closer, his lips so close to hers.
It was Karen who pressed onward, pushing her lips against his and putting her hands on his broad, powerful shoulders. He leaned up against her, his thick arms wrapping around her thin body, pulling her breasts up against his powerful chest as she pressed the kiss in deeper, losing her eyes and gripping her shoulders, the heat of her passion quickly driving Victor onward.
He grabbed the blanket between them, pulling it aside so there were no further barriers. He slid his hand down her side slowly to her thigh, his fingers brushing against the strap of her black panties as it moved downward, his palm gripping her upper thigh. Their bodies were growing hotter by the second, their breath coming in quicker gasps. Karen’s gossamer wings were twitching spastically, beating the air around them like a fan.
Victor pushes her back on the bed, and her wings began to beat against the thick bed cushion. He moved up on top of her kissing her deeply and sliding his hand down her body, his hand finding its way inward toward the cloth of her panties. His warm, flesh and blood fingers pressed against the cloth slowly, sliding it up against her womanhood softly. A strangled gasp escaped Karen’s throat, catching her off-guard. His fingers slid up and down, the cloth of her panties sliding up against her soft slit, making her wings beat harder and faster against the bed.
His hand slipped away from her slit slowly, gripping the side of her panties and pulling them down her long, slender legs. Karen watched him pull her panties off, then watched as he did the same with his boxers, revealing that he was already fully aroused. He looked down at himself, amazed to find that he actually could feel it. “I haven’t felt like this in a very long time.”
“That’s a damn shame…” Karen sat up and put her hands on his chest, pushing him suddenly onto his back on the bed. Victor hit the bed, his eyes wide in surprise. Karen just smiled, her fingernails scratching across his broad, muscled chest as she moved up on top of him, her legs wrapping around his waist. She leaned down across his body, her breasts pressing up against his chest as she kissed him again passionately, her tongue darting into his mouth. His powerful arms wrapped around her waist, holding her tightly. Her wings beat against his arms, slapping against them again and again.
Victor could feel the sweat beginning to bead on Karen’s lithe body as it moved sensuously up against him, her breasts sliding against his chest as her hips moves against his waist. His hands slipped across her bare back, moving in circles around the base of her wings, an act that caused her entire body to shudder and a strangled moan of pleasure to escape her lips.
In a moment Karen pulled up from him, resting her hands on his chest with her hips still around his waist. He watched her, trembling in anticipation as she pulled her hips upward, sliding them that little bit further down, positioning herself on top of her. He put his hands on her slender waist, helping her slide herself against his waiting erection, her own arousal already evident, glistening in the moonlight.
They both pulled her down on top of him. Victor groaned as he felt himself… actually felt himself… slide deep inside of her. Karen’s breath quickened with the sensation until her hips pressed against his, her face flushed and yet her expression excited and eager. Her nails ground against his chest as she slowly began to move her hips against him, sliding up and down his erection. Victor grunted at the sensation, gripping Karen’s waist tightly, moving her quicker against him.
Sweat began to drip down Karen’s body as she slipped again and again up and down his erection, the pale moonlight reflecting off of every inch of her smooth, slick body. Victor slid his hands up her sides slowly, sliding them across the sides of her breasts, letting his palms run across them tenderly, moving with them as they heaved from Karen’s heavy, passionate breath.
Karen moved quicker and quicker against him, putting her hands on his stomach, her hair and breasts bounding with her intense movements, the sweat dripping from her body onto Victor’s already sweaty chest, her breath coming in quicker and quicker gasps. Victor groaned deep in his throat, the quicker movements quickly beginning to push him toward climax, but he sat up suddenly, wrapping his arms around her torso to halt her movements. She looked at him in surprised, her face flushed.
Victor slowly began to pump himself into her, moving his hips firmly against her, thrusting again and again. Karen groaned again, her arms wrapping around his shoulders as her legs slipped around his waist, wrapping around it to pull herself tighter against him. Her hips ground against his as he thrust against her, plunging deep into her with every movement.
Her wings began to beat the air furiously as Victor slid his hands around to them, stroking the tender flesh around the base again. Karen’s mouth opened in a deep groan, burying her face in his throat as his hands slipped around them in small circles. Slowly he slid his hand up her wings, grabbing them to hold them still. They twitched and struggled to get free, but he slid his fingers along them, feeling the intricate strands that wove about each other in a grand pattern. Karen was shuddering against his body, moving quicker and quicker against him, meeting his increasingly rapid thrusts.
He released her wings, which began to frantically beat the air around them, whipping it around them like a miniature tornado as he gripped the small of her back, beginning to thrusts harder deep inside of her. She bounced against him with the force of the thrusts, both of them sweating and panting passionately, holding onto each other tightly until all at once, they both felt the explosive release of climax. When it had passed, Victor found himself sitting on the bed with Karen held in his arms, her body slick with sweat as she leaned against him, her cheek resting on his shoulder. Her gasps for air brushed against his throat as her wings dropped down across her back limply.
“For a dream…” Victor gulped, holding her tightly as he too gasped for breath. “That was the most amazing thing… I’ve ever felt.”
“Tell me about it.” Karen groaned against his throat. She moved her head back from his shoulders, looking in his eyes. Her hair was wet and matted against her forehead, sticking to it in a random tangle. She pushed him down on the bed again, resting his head on the pillow while she leaned on top of him, resting her elbows against his rock-hard chest and watching his face comfortably.
“I wish I could give you this kind of warmth in real life… I really do.” Victor said softly.
“It’s nice… but I don’t care about it enough to not want to be with you anyway.” Karen replied. “It’s hard to say that really… but this seems like a good chance to do it. No consequences… no chance of finding out that you really just don’t like me.”
“We can do so much more in dreams.” Victor replied. “Though after all this, it’s hard to tell who’s really dreaming here. You seem so much like the real you, it’s hard to believe this is a dream.”
Karen laughed. “Maybe we’re both in Beast Boy’s dream.” She grinned jokingly.
“He better not be dreaming about me.” Victor shuddered. “I don’t even want to imagine what that would mean.” She laughed again, and Victor chuckled with her. She then sighed and rested her head against his chest, a yawn escaping her lips.
“I’m actually feeling kinda tired… I guess even dreams can’t go on forever.” She yawned, her eyelids suddenly drooping heavily.
“Yeah… I know what you mean…” Victor yawned, his head falling back against the pillow. “Goodnight… Karen…” His eyes closed slowly, his breath falling into a steady rhythm before suddenly he suddenly found himself powering up again, staring up at the cold steel roof of his bedroom. He stared up at it a moment, then raised one hand, hearing the familiar whir of gears and gyros making his cold steel arm move.
“All a dream…” Victor… no… Cyborg sighed and sat up from the table, putting one hand to his head. For a second he almost thought maybe it was real. That was really him, holding and loving the real Bumblebee. He sighed and pulled himself off of the table, turning to leave his cold, steel room. Eager for the relative warmth he could find in the living room with his friends. “Guess dreams are better than nothin’…” He twitched.

Raven opened her eyes slowly, suddenly finding herself back in her body. She shivered violently, and let out a forceful sneeze. “Achoo! Haaachoo!” She sneezed, sniffling and reaching up to rub her nose pathetically. She put her stiff legs down on the roof, stumbling a bit as she tried to rub warmth back into her exposed limbs. “Great. Cyborg and Bumblebee get to be together… and I get a cold. That’s my good deed for the month.” She sniffled, pulling her cloak tighter around her and turning to walk down the stairs into the tower proper.
Shivering, she made her way past the kitchen, where she saw Robin behind the counter cooking while Starfire and Beast Boy ate heartily. Raven paused for a moment, then sniffled and made her way into the kitchen. Something warm would probably do her some good.
Robin looked back at her as she approached the counter. “Raven, are you okay? You look terrible.”
“Just a co… hoooachoo!” Raven sneezed again, sniffling and running a hand across her nose. “A cold. Give me something warm.” Robin looked at her strangely, but turned to make her a small stack of pancakes with a trace of syrup on top, putting it in front of her. She cut into it slowly, sneezing into her cape several times as she slowly devoured her meal. Beast Boy and Starfire watched her with strange looks on their faces. “What?”
“I have never seen you get sick before.” Starfire commented.
“I didn’t know you could get sick. It’s… unreal.” Beast Boy commented, wide-eyed. “You almost look human.”
“I am hu… huuuuachoo!” Raven sneezed violently, a tendril of dark energy ripping through the plate in front of her, dropping her pancakes onto the counter. She sniffled, putting one hand over her nose. “Human… ugh…”
“I’ll get you some medicine. You should probably spend the day lying down.” Robin suggested with a kind smile. Raven glared back, and he turned to fetch the medicine from a nearby cupboard. Raven sniffled again, then stopped and looked back when she heard the heavy mechanical boot steps of the last member of the Titans. Cyborg walked in looking strange in her eyes, though it wasn’t a physical change…
“Good mornin’ y’all, I’m ready for my pancakes.” He marched up to the counter and plopped down beside Raven, looking rather pleased with himself. Raven couldn’t help a slight smirk as she waited for Robin to return with a cup of disgusting smelling red liquid.
“Drink that, it should help.” Robin told her before turning to Cyborg. Stack of pancakes, coming up.” He turned to resume his cooking while Raven downed her medicine like a wine shot, then set the cup back down on the counter. She sneezed again and sniffled into her sleeve, trying not to let Cyborg see, though of course he noticed right away.
“You okay Raven?” Cyborg asked. “You didn’t stay out all night did you?”
“I’ll be fine.” Raven pushed herself up from her stool, then sneezed and fell back onto it weakly. “Ughn…” She fell forward, her head hitting the counter with a dull thud.
“Raven? Are you okay?” Robin leapt over the counter and moved to her side, putting his hands on her shoulders. He pulled her lightly up from the countertop, resting her in the crook of one arm. She opened her eyes warily, seeing only vague shapes and shadows lingering above her. “Raven!?” Robin exclaimed again, slapping her cheek lightly to try to snap her out of it. She stared up at him for a moment, then turned her gaze to the side.
Everything was a blur… except for the powerful red eye that stared straight at her face. She stared at it and tried to speak, but she was quickly growing too tired to talk. Finally her body went limp and her eyes closed, her breath coming in quick, shallow gasps.
“Cyborg, come on. We have to find out what’s wrong with her.” Robin wrapped his arms around her, cradling her in his arms as he stood up. HE turned to walk out quickly, then stopped when he realized Cyborg wasn’t following. Robin turned around slowly, seeing Cyborg just sitting and watching with an unusually cold look in his eye. “This is no time to mess around, I think something’s seriously wrong with her.”
“Good.” Cyborg smirked. Beast Boy, Starfire, and Robin all turned to him with wide eyes. “I get so sick of her constant attitude and smartass remarks. It’s about time someone put her out of my misery.”
“Cyborg, you cannot mean these horrible things.” Starfire said worriedly, floating up behind him to put her hands on his shoulders. “Please, you must help our friend. She could be in danger.” Cyborg growled and grabbed her arm, yanking him over his shoulder to dangle her in front of him like a worm on a hook. “Ack! Cyborg, you cannot mean this horrible thing either!”
“Don’t touch me!” Cyborg brought his fist back and slammed it into her stomach, sending her sailing through the living room straight into the massive television. It shattered with a thunderous crack and a sparkle of electricity, and Starfire was quickly buried underneath the rubble.
“Dude! What was that for!?” Beast Boy demanded. Cyborg whirled on him, his human eye seeming to glow as bright red as his robot eye. Beast Boy squawked and transformed into a tiny green chicken, running to hide underneath the coffee table. Cyborg turned back to Robin, who was just setting Raven down on the floor, propping her comfortably up against the wall.
“Cyborg, what’s going on?” Robin turned back to him, standing comfortably enough, though he could still launch into an attack at a moment’s notice.
“I’m blowing this place. I’ve been getting sick of your ugly faces for years, and I’ve finally had enough.” Cyborg growled darkly deep in his throat. “And there’s one face I want to rearrange… so get out of my way or I will go through you.”
“Who are you after?” Robin demanded.
“None of your business.” Cyborg growled. Robin stared at him a moment, then glanced around the room. Starfire was just beginning to stir from the rubble of the television, Beast Boy was shivering uncontrollably under the coffee table, and Raven was lying against the wall limp and barely breathing. Robin turned back to Cyborg and slowly stepped out of his way, standing between him and Raven. “You always were the brains of the group.” Cyborg smirked as he marched past him, heading out into the hall.
Robin whirled once he was gone. “Starfire, are you okay?” Robin asked. Starfire grunted and pulled herself out of the ruins of their television. There were various small cuts around her body, and she had several bruises on her exposed flesh.
“Ouchie…” She grunted. “That was unpleasant, but I am undamaged.” She stood up straight, cracking her back before moving to float over to Robin. Beast Boy emerged from the coffee table and transformed back into his normal self, leaping over the couch to join them.
“Dude, what’s with him? His human eye… it was glowing. Just like-“ Beast Boy began before Robin interrupted him…
“Like Raven’s.” Robin looked down at Raven unconscious on the floor. “We have to find out what’s going on, and I think she has some answers. Come on, help me get Raven down to the infirmary.” Starfire nodded and picked her up, flying quickly down the corridor while Robin and Beast Boy ran after her. They had to get to the bottom of this quickly, before Cyborg found whoever he was after…

Bumblebee stepped out of the shower with a towel wrapped around her lithe body, drying her hair quickly and approaching the mirror on the wall. She was feeling pretty good about everything. Maybe the dream was some kind of omen. With a smile she brushed out her hair and grabbed a dryer to give it a quick run down before grabbing her ponytails. She quickly put them up in their customary buns with long-practiced ease, then dropped the towel and pulled her uniform on, buzzing hr wings to make sure the top was secure enough to allow her freedom of movement.
She walked out of the bathroom and made her way down the hall, making her way toward the living room. When her communicator beeped she reached into her pocket and pulled it out. “The T-Car is approaching.” Aqualad told her. “Looks like Cyborg. Should I let him in?”
“Of course.” Bumblebee replied, keeping her enthusiasm carefully in check. “We can’t be rude.” Aqualad nodded and cut the transmission, so she made her way to the living room where she found Mas Y Menos eating cereal on the couch while Speedy was draped across his recliner, watching TV with a bored look on his face. “I swear, sometimes I don’t know how guys so lazy can be so fast.”
“Hey, being so fast is what gives me the time to be lazy.” Speedy munched on an apple resting on his stomach.
“Well, hurry up. We’re going up to the roof to train in fifteen minutes, so you better be ready.” Bumblebee told them. Speedy waved her off and she rolled her eyes. She made her way to the kitchen to fix herself a plate of eggs, scooping it onto a few pieces of bread and making her way back to the table in the living room. She put the plate on the table and turned when she heard the door to the living room open.
Bumblebee looked at the door quickly, then stopped when she saw a shadow beyond the door, vaguely human-shaped. Suddenly Aqualad flew into the room limply, his body slamming into the table hard enough to smash it into splinters the size of her finger. Bumblebee gasped and knelt down beside him quickly. “Aqualad! What happened!?”
“C… Cyborg…” Aqualad whispered painfully. Bumblebee stared at him wide-eyed, then looked back toward the door to see Cyborg walk into the living room. His blue cybernetic components had faded in color, glowing black as his human eye shined as red as his cybernetic one. Silently he raised the cannon on his arm, aiming it straight at her head, and opened fire.

Robin watched as Raven’s eyes slowly opened, her eyes glazed over. The various medical machines around her were beeping steadily, displaying all of her vital signs as they finally began to stabilize. She looked up at Robin, then sneezed and sniffled, but didn’t look like she was going to pass out again. “Raven, something’s happened.” Robin told her. “We need your help.”
“Cyborg…” Raven said softly. She grunted and put a hand to her head, squeezing her eyes shut. “I can still feel him pulling at my mind.”
“What? How?” Robin asked. Raven opened her eyes again, looking up at him.
“Last night, I formed a psychic bond between him and Bumblebee, using my own mind as a bridge. I let them share a dream.” Raven replied.
“Oohhh. What kind of dream?” Beast Boy grinned.
“That’s not important.” Raven glared at him disdainfully. “The important part is that it seems like my link with Cyborg wasn’t cut, it’s being kept active somehow. And something in my mind is pouring out through him. All of the darkness I keep hidden, my evil… it’s pouring into him, fueling and reversing his emotions.”
“Cyborg’s cybernetic components must be mixing everything up.” Robin raised a hand to his chin. “We have to find a way to cut this psychic bond. Huh?” He looked back when he heard a beeping sound from the monitor behind him. “A transmission? Great timing.” He approached the monitor and pressed a few buttons. Speedy’s face appeared on the screen, looking strained.
“We could use some help over here!” Speedy shouted. The sound of explosions and shouts could be heard behind him, as blasts of pitch black laser-fire cut through the living room behind him. Bumblebee darted across the background, carrying Aqualad in her arms as the black blasts trailed up after her. Mas Y Menos streaked across the screen, then screamed and flew back in the other direction like a pair of footballs.
“Speedy? What’s going on?” Robin demanded.
“What does it look like!? We’re under atta-“ He was cut off suddenly by a massive explosion, and the screen turned to static.
Robin stared at it a moment, then turned back to the others. “Come on Titans, We have to help them!” Beast Boy and Starfire instantly turned to run from the room, and Raven moved to slide off the bed weakly. “You stay here Raven.”
“No, I’m coming.” Raven replied. “This is my responsibility, I caused this. I will be there to put an end to it.”
“You’re in no condition to fight, Raven. Don’t worry, I won’t let anyone get hurt. You have my word.” Robin told her. Raven narrowed her eyes, then stumbled back against the table, groaning as her eyes began to glow. “Raven?”
“My power… it’s… it’s being sapped… ugh…” She collapsed to the floor, panting and leaning against the table. “Cyborg… must be… tapping into my powers.” She groaned. Robin stepped toward her, but she looked up at him sharply. “Go… now. With his physical strength and my powers… if he learns to fully tap them, he’ll become unstoppable. I’ll try to do what I can from here…” She grunted in pain. “Go help the other Titans.”
Robin stared down at her, then nodded slowly. “We’ll be back as soon as we can.” He turned and walked away swiftly, knowing that time would be of the essence. He made his way to the T-Ship’s hanger, and soon they were on their way. Starfire and Beast Boy sat in their respective pods, waiting anxiously while Robin flew the ship with his own controls, staring at the radar waiting for the Titans East Tower to appear.
Soon a massive energy source lit up the radar like a wildfire, and outside the windshield he could see a massive explosion tinged with hints of Raven’s dark, mystical powers. Pieces of steel and mortar flew through the air into the ocean around the tower as its upper half was cut clean off. Raven could see several forms moving from the tower to the main landmass nearby, coming to a stop on the street.
“Let’s go for the assist.” Robin pressed the eject button on his control panel, and the three of them flew from the ship through the air. Beast Boy transformed into a hawk and swooped down toward the second team while Starfire caught Robin by the shoulders and followed him down. He landed quickly on the street, his cape flowing down across his body as he approached Bumblebee. Her clothing was ripped in various places, and her weapons were missing. “What’s going on here?”
“Cyborg… he’s gone nuts.” Bumblebee reported. “He just raided our tower and opened fire. We barely had time to react, let alone activated any of our defenses. I had no idea he could be so powerful… or cold. Now our tower’s destroyed, and both Menos and Aqualad are missing.”
“Menos!” Mas shouted suddenly, standing near the edge of the cliff overlooking the ruins of their tower. “ádonde eres Menos!” His little arms hung limply at his sides, tears sliding down his cheeks. “Venir atrás Menos…” He whimpered pathetically. Suddenly he gasped and screamed when a black and silver form leaps from the ruins of the tower, dark power surging around his metal frame before he landed on the street with a heavy thump, cracking the pavement.
Cyborg stood up slowly, raiding his cannon in front of him. “Who’s ready to get in my way now?” His gaze fixed straight on Bumblebee, his mouth twisting in an evil sneer.
“Starfire, get Mas out of here.” Robin demanded, reaching into his belt to extend his bo staff, moving to stand in front of Bumblebee. Starfire immediately moved to fly over Cyborg’s head to fetch the screaming and frantic child, picking him up in her arms and swooping away with him. Beast Boy and Speedy moved to stand beside Robin, Beast Boy raising his fists and Speedy holding his bow in front of him with several arrows set to the string.
“Do you know what’s going on?” Bumblebee asked, hunched over behind him slightly with one hand around her stomach and a pained look on her face.
“A good deed gone bad.” Robin whirled his staff in front of him, and Cyborg smirked. “The dream you two shared last night backfired… Raven can’t cut her psychic connection with him because of his cybernetic parts, and her powers are infecting Cyborg, reversing his emotions.”
“Dream?” Bumblebee blinked. “It… it was really him in that dream…?”
“And it makes me sick thinking about it.” Cyborg sneered. “Now are y’all gonna get out of my way, or do I have to punch holes through the lot of you?”
“Go ahead and try it, Tin-Man.” Speedy raised his bow, firing several explosive tipped arrows. Cyborg raised his cannon, a beam of dark light incinerating the arrows, narrowly missing the four remaining Titans as they rolled out of the way.
“Titans! Go!” Robin shouted, leaping to the offensive with his bo above his head. Beast Boy lurched forward with a roar, his morphing into an eagle to soar from the ground flying through Cyborg’s legs before turning into a massive gorilla, pounding both fists into his back. Cyborg stumbled forward, knocked off-balance while Robin came down in front of him, slamming his foot across Cyborg’s face. He leapt off of him as a hailstorm of arrows came down all around Cyborg, detonating on impact in a shower of fire and debris.
A black blast shot from the fireball, slamming into Beast Boy’s chest and sending him flying into a building on the other side of the street. Cyborg leapt from the dust-ball, his cannon aiming straight down at Bumblebee. But she seemed to vanish from sight, becoming far too small to see from such a distance. Cyborg opened fire anyway, incinerating parts of the ground. He yelped when several explosive arrows and discs slammed into his back, their combined force enough to drive him to his knees.
“Don’t make us take you down, Cyborg.” Robin held several discs between the fingers of his right hand as Speedy stood beside him, his bow cocked and ready. “This isn’t you, you’re being psychically infested. Fight it.”
“Hmm…” Cyborg tapped his chin. “No!” Twin cannons rose from his shoulders, rising well above him before pointing before, firing a pair of powerful blasts. Robin and Speedy lunged in separate directions, avoiding the blasts before leaping into the air almost in unison, their projectile weapons flying toward Cyborg. He growled and knocked them aside with a sweep of his arms, sending them flying into the ground behind him.
“He’s getting more control.” Robin growled. “We have to end this soon…”

Bumblebee, the size of a nickel, flew back toward the rubble of the building Beast Boy had plunged into. He groaned and sat up slowly, rubbing the top of his head painfully. “Ugh… Cyborg sucks… huh?” He blinked when he saw Bumblebee fly up in front of his face.
“Beast Boy, we need to get inside Cyborg.” Bumblebee said quickly. “Robin said his mechanical half is keeping the psychic link open. If we can cut the connection between his biological and technological pieces, it may allow the link to die.”
“Cut the connection? But doesn’t he rely on that stuff to live?” Beast Boy asked.
“I know… I’ve seen his blueprints.” Bumblebee narrowed her eyes. “But he’s a danger to everyone like this. He would want us to do what it takes to save the city. Besides, it only has to be for a few seconds. He can survive that long… I hope…” She rubbed her arm. She really didn’t want to hurt him, but her duties as co-leader of the Teen Titans took precedence over her personal feelings.
“Okay… but how do we get inside him?” Beast Boy transformed into a bee, hovering beside her.
“Through any hole we can find.” Bumblebee flew from the building, back toward the battle still raging between Cyborg and Robin/Speedy. Beast Boy followed her quickly, flying right behind her as she made her way closer to him. His body loomed extremely large, shining with the dark power that was flowing through his systems. She moved toward his head, but suddenly she shrieked as something roared through her body. Beast Boy howled beside her, and both of them were flung back toward the ground.
“Ugh…” Bumblebee landed on the street, once again her normal size. Beast Boy landed beside her in his human form. “What was…?” She blinked and looked up when she saw Cyborg standing over her, looking down at her with a wicked grin on his face.
“You think I’m stupid? I know your powers, I’m ready for anything.” He cracked his knuckles with a wicked grin, grabbing her arm and yanking her up toward him. “And I’m definitely ready for this.” Robin, Beast Boy and Speedy watched from the sidelines, unable to do anything without risking taking her down as well.
“Cyborg, wait!” Bumblebee shouted quickly. “Come on, you don’t want to do this. You don’t hate me, and you’re not like this. You know it.”
“Shut up.” Cyborg twisted her arm painfully, drawing a pained yelp from her throat. He yanked her closer, coming dangerously close to ripping her arm out of its socket. “I know what I think of you… and I hate you more than anything.” Bumblebee bit her lip to keep from screaming anymore, squeezing her eyes shut. He hated her more than anything, and his emotions were reversed…
“D… don’t…” She grunted. In a moment he grinned and released her arm, reaching past her to grip her gossamer wings. She gasped, then howled in pain when he began to pull at them, his grip tightening around them, crushing the strands in his steel hands.
“Cyborg! Stop!” Robin screamed warningly.
“I want to see you in pain…” Cyborg pulled harder, drawing a tighter scream out of her throat. Tears were leaking down her cheeks. “Just pluck these disgusting eyesores off of you, and watch you squirm on the ground right before you die.” He growled hatefully. Bumblebee put her hands on his chest, trying to push him away, but the more she pushed the tighter his iron grip on her wings became. “Scream, now.”
Bumblebee sobbed in pain, her fingernails scratching across his metal chest, but she clenched her teeth, refusing to scream anymore. He gripped her wings tighter, until she could feel the tendons in her back threatening to snap. “V… Victor…” She gasped out in pain, clutching his shoulders. His human eyebrow raised in confusion and surprise. “Victor… stop… this…”
“How would you…?” Cyborg blinked in surprise.
“The dream… it… it was real…” Bumblebee gasped out. “Raven… she let us share it… it was really me. Karen.” Bumblebee replied. Cyborg stared down at her, his eyes still glowing blood red, though they didn’t so vicious anymore. “Victor, stop this… please… I don’t want to hurt you… and you don’t want to hurt me.”
“You can’t… trick me.” Cyborg growled, though she could see doubt in his eyes. Bumblebee looked past him to see a massive spouting of water rising up from the ocean, casting its shadow across the entire scene. Aqualad was standing on top of it, holding a shivering Menos in his arms as the water bent down over the street. Bumblebee looked up at Cyborg again, her eyes wet.
“Sorry…” Taking advantage of his confusion, she slammed her fist right into his face with all her might. Surprised, Cyborg’s grip on her wings released and he stumbled back. The water spout arched toward him, with Aqualad surfing on the top of it.
“Speedy! Flash Freeze!” Aqualad shouted as he leapt from the wave. Cyborg looked up just before he was engulfed by the water. Speedy whipped out several arrows and fired them into the wave. They exploded in clouds of vaporous nitrogen, freezing the wave and trapping Cyborg in a massive block of ice, staring in confusion at the sky as Aqualad landed past him in a crouch, with the shivering child still in his arms.
Robin stood and approached Bumblebee, holding out a hand to help her up. “You okay?”
“I will be as soon as he is.” Bumblebee looked at Cyborg’s figure still trapped in the ice.
“Don’t worry. We’ll take him back to our tower and figure out how to fix him.” Robin replied. “You look a little worse for wear though. Why don’t you take it easy, and I’ll take care of the rest?” Bumblebee would have normally fought at being given an order like that… but she decided to let it slide this time. While Robin turned to take care of the rest of the Titans, she turned to approach the ice-block behind her. Gently she placed her hand on the ice over Cyborg’s face, still frozen in confusion. She just stayed that way, waiting for him to come back to her.
________________________________________________________________________
A groan escaped his lips as he felt his main hard drive coming back online. He opened his human eye slowly, seeing a collection of blurs standing over him. Slowly his eye adjusted, and he was able to see everyone above him, though his left eye seemed to be nonfunctional. All of the Titans from both teams were standing over him, staring down at him with various expressions on their faces.
“Cyborg? You have become well?” Starfire asked worriedly.
“I feel fine Star.” Cyborg looked around, but found that he couldn’t move. “Whoa… I can’t… I can’t feel anything.”
“We’ll fix that soon.” Robin replied. “The only way to release the psychic link was to sever your brain from the mechanical components of your body. It was Bumblebee’s idea.” Robin added. Cyborg’s eye swiveled to look up at the girl. Her outfit was still torn in various places, and she looked somewhat beat up, though she had a smile on her face as she stared down at him.
“I see.” Cyborg replied calmly. They stared at each other, until suddenly Robin and Aqualad turned to quickly usher the others out of the room. Starfire complained loudly about wanting to see her friend, and Mas Y Menos kept trying to sneak past them, but they managed to herd everyone out the door until Cyborg and Bumblebee were left alone in the infirmary, the steady beeping of the machines keeping track of Cyborg’s brainwaves.
“They want to leave it unhooked for a few hours to make sure there’s no chance of relapse.” Bumblebee said in a business-like voice.
“Guess I have some time on my hands then.” Cyborg quipped. They stared at each other a while longer before Cyborg finally decided to broach the subject. “Was it true? What you said…”
“Uh-huh. Raven thought it’d be nice to give us a chance to be together… without any metal barriers.” Bumblebee put a hand on Cyborg’s chest, running her fingers over the cold, unfeeling steel.
“Guess we still have dreams…” Cyborg smirked.
“Victor, I don’t care if your body’s made of steel. I’m fine with that.” Bumblebee began.
“Don’t call me that. Victor died a long time ago.” Cyborg replied.
“No, he didn’t.” Bumblebee frowned. “Just because your body changes doesn’t change who you are inside. Look at me. Look at these.” Bumblebee reached back and pulled at one of her wings, bringing it around for Cyborg to see. “No normal person has these. By all accounts, I shouldn’t have them. Or my powers. Does this make me inhuman? Some kind of mutant freak of nature? Nothing more than ‘Bumblebee’?”
“Of course not.” Cyborg replied quickly.
“Then why should the nature of your body make you any less human? I’m about as human as you are… if you want to call yourself inhuman, you’re insulting me too.” Bumblebee stared down at him viciously, crossing her arms over her chest.
“You are human… Karen.” Cyborg replied softly. Bumblebee’s eyes softened instantly. Cyborg smiled an uncharacteristically calm and gentle smile. “And I guess that means… so am I.” He said. Bumblebee smiled and leaned down to wrap her arms around his neck, lying against his broad steel chest. He just laid on the table, staring at the ceiling. It felt good to finally say that… and it felt better to know that he could lean on Bumblebee… Karen… from now on.
