“Can’t the drones see through the streets and find us?” Kara whispered. Her voice carried down the pipe she and her companions were traveling through, like a murmur picked up by the wind.
Selina shook her head. “Rumor was Lex Luthor once had the pipes beneath Metropolis all converted to a lead alloy just so Superman wouldn’t be able to see anyone moving inside them. If the drones haven’t picked us up yet, I’m guessing the rumor was true.”
“Did you seriously just risk all our lives on a rumor?” Cheetah snarled.
“Cool it, furball,” Catwoman replied, “If you’ve got a better plan for sneaking into LexCorp, I’m all ears—-“
“Quiet!” Supergirl hissed. “I can hear one!”
They froze in place, not daring to let a single muscle twitch, while Kara focused her hearing on the streets above them. She could hear one of Amazo’s drones hovering in the air, sensing something strange but unable to pinpoint what it was. Catwoman was right --- the pipes’ high lead content made them impervious to her Kryptonian X-ray vision. She knew that would probably confound the drone and force it to move on, but the odds against them were so high that she held the gulp in her throat until she heard the drone move away.
“We’re clear,” Kara said, and the other two relaxed, tense muscles releasing slowly.
"Almost there," Selina said, exhaling heavily. "Let's keep moving."
When she'd first arrived on Earth, years ago, one of the first things Supergirl had done was to master the local languages like her cousin Kal had told her to. It took three days for her to acquire fluency in English. It would have taken two, but English had a long list of proverbs to wrap her head around, many of which had no translation to the Kryptonian context. What did "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" mean on a planet like Krypton, where nothing was ever considered perfect and everything was upgraded as rapidly as science could manage?
Others had been simpler. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." "War makes for strange bedfellows." Her hometown on Krypton, Argo City, was a military stronghold, and every young Kryptonian served in the armed forces at some point or another. They were taught strategy and tactics, and the concept of flexibility in war was familiar to her. These were universal constants.
But from the start of her life on Earth, she'd been a member of the planet's vast superhero community, and the rules were always clear. The heroes fought the villains to save the day. The heroes didn't fight other heroes, or make clandestine backroom deals with villains against other villains. There wasn't room for a lot of ambiguity in what they did.
And now, she was on a suicide mission with a career thief and a mass murderer. Strange bedfellows, indeed.
"Up we go," Catwoman said, breaking Kara out of her reverie. They'd reached the end of the pipeline, and a ladder built into the wall led them up and through a manhole, right into a garden on the ground floor of LexCorp.
Cheetah sniffed the ground they'd emerged from, slowly raising her head to sample the air, her feline ears twitching as they took in the sounds around them. "I hear two heartbeats just inside. They smell female."
"That must be them," Kara said.
If buildings had souls, something had sucked LexCorp's right out. The entire structure seemed abandoned. Like his pipelines, Luthor had fortified his skyscraper with lead on the outside, to block prying Kryptonian eyes, but part of the lead coating had cracked and chipped away, and Kara could peer through with her telescopic vision. There didn't seem to be anyone inside. It seemed that Lex Luthor's death in the war had spelled the death of his empire as well.
The two females Cheetah had sensed inside the building greeted them once they entered through the front door.
"Drone pick you up anywhere?" Supergirl asked.
Raven shook her head. "We melded with the shadows. There was nothing there for them to pick up."
"I can't be the only one who thinks this place is too quiet, right?" Steel said. Natasha Irons' armor, modeled after her late father's, was the shiniest thing on a floor littered with glass and metal surfaces. But she was the most inexperienced of the group, and it showed, her fingers twitching nervously as they gripped her long, cybernetic hammer. "If they do their.....processing at a place like this, wouldn't there be some sign of it?"
The other four women didn't reply. None of them wanted to acknowledge the very real possibility that they'd walked into a trap.
"They move from city to city," Kara finally said, "Shifting their locations as they sense new metahumans in other areas. No meta in their right mind's going to come to Metropolis. They don't have anyone to hunt here."
"That's probably it," Natasha said, eager to agree.
Cheetah snorted. "We knew this was suicide, so let's not stand around and try to console each other. Do you have the drive?"
Steel nodded, fishing within one of her armor's outer segments until she extracted a thin, jet black flash drive. "Get me to the top of the building, and we can end this once and for all."
They couldn't fly up --- not in Metropolis, not anymore. Amazo's drones had every block of the city under their constant surveillance, always searching for new superhumans, and someone flying around would be like throwing blood into shark-infested waters. After a little tinkering, Natasha managed to coax the broken-down glass elevator into slowly lugging them up to the top floor.
As the old elevator gained altitude, groaning all the way, Selina glanced out at the city. Dark and desolate, like pictures she'd seen of Pripyat after the Chernobyl disaster. LexCorp wasn't the only place whose soul had been sucked straight out. Most of the city had. Most of the world had.
It had been five years since Amazo had taken over the Earth. Five years since the disappearance of the Justice League. Five years since a small army of androids designed by Anthony Ivo had systematically wiped out all resistance, eliminated all of Earth's major institutions, and taken the planet in the name of their leader. Wave after wave of heroes had tried to stop them, and wave after wave had died. The Amazos were just too powerful, and they hadn't stopped with the heroes. Every single superhuman was a target, hero or villain, and the ones who didn't run as fast as they could were hunted down in their homes and exterminated.
Or so they'd originally thought.
Two years into the war with the Amazos, a war they'd never known had been lost long before they even knew it was coming, they'd discovered that the Amazos weren't killing all their targets. Some of them, with unique talents and abilities, were being taken to various processing centers all over the world. All of them were female. No one but the Amazos could get inside the processing centers, and so they'd spent a long time speculating about what happened inside. Were the Amazos experimenting, trying to make themselves stronger than they already were?
Then they learnt the truth. The captured women weren't being experimented on.
They were being bred.
They'd learnt the truth during a poorly planned break-in at a processing center in Germany a year and a half ago, when they'd decided to try and rescue some of the people captured inside. That was back when Starfire was with them. They'd sneaked into the structure by burrowing underground, and inside, they were greeted by room after room filled with former heroes and villains, all in varying stages of pregnancy. In one room, they'd found Vixen, in the middle of birthing a child. Strapped to a machine that spread her legs wide and her arms apart, she hadn't even reacted at the sight of them, her tired, abused face too busy with contortions of agony as she gave birth. Slowly, as they watched in horror, her child fell out of her, and almost immediately registered their presence, glaring at them with Amazo's familiar red eyes. In their panic to try and free Vixen, they accidentally triggered the alarm, and had no choice but to leave Mari behind as a hundred Amazo's attacked. There were too many of them, and they'd all have been captured if Starfire hadn't sacrificed herself, staying back as a distraction and ordering the others to leave her and go. They hadn't wanted to do it, but Kori had been right. Without her sacrifice, all of them would have been finished.
If the horror of what Amazo was doing at his processing centers hadn't fully set in, they met Starfire two months later, when she led a team of Amazos to one of their hideouts. Her belly swollen with pregnancy and her eyes glazed over with Amazo's influence, Kori and her companions had nearly killed them all before Raven had managed to spirit them away through a portal to another hideout. Seeing Kori like that had really driven it home. Raven, who rarely expressed any emotion, cried all night for her oldest, dearest friend.
Supergirl, Catwoman, Cheetah, Raven and Steel were all that was left of the Earth's resistance, as far as they could tell. Raven's teleporting abilities had allowed them to stay one step ahead of each attack on their hideouts, but the Amazos were learning. Lately they'd started casting spells over the area to try and block Raven's powers so they couldn't escape. They hadn't succeeded yet, but they were getting better with time. Running was ceasing to be an option. It was time to take the fight to them. They certainly wouldn't expect it.
Natasha's father, John Henry Irons, was the original Steel, and he'd managed to survive for nearly three years into the war before they finally got him. But during that time, he'd tinkered with the programming of older Amazos the Justice League had fought, and he'd begun creating a virus to disable them all. But all the communication networks were under Amazo's control, and the only way they could upload the virus into a network large enough to target them all was to break into one of the processing centers and find their servers. They knew Amazo was breeding an army, but they couldn't figure out what for. Why did he need more Amazos? He'd already eliminated virtually all resistance to his rule. It didn't matter. It had to be stopped.
The elevator finally ground to a halt on the 52nd floor. Schematics Selina had stolen from before the war indicated the floor harbored the largest communications hub in the building.
"Someone's here," Cheetah said, the smooth hairs on her back rising in apprehension.
The lead content in the walls was still too high for Kara's X-ray vision to be fully effective, but the walls had been damaged enough for her to spot the silhouette of the person Cheetah had sensed.
"Female, organic," Kara said, to the relief of everyone else. Even with the advantage of numbers, a single Amazo would probably overwhelm them all. "Restrained by something. It's not an Amazo."
"Then let's go check it out," Natasha murmured.
The hallway down to the room that housed the unknown female was just as empty as every other room they'd passed on their way up. Supergirl and Raven floated above the other three as they kept moving --- not because it was needed, but because they could. Outside, flying around would get them killed, but any time they were indoors, they seized the opportunity. There were few things more frustrating than knowing you could fly and not being able to.
The door to the only occupied room on floor 52 creaked open when Catwoman gently pushed against it, and inside they found a girl strapped to a restraining device in the same way they'd found Vixen during the Germany mission. She was a young girl, about as young as Kara and Natasha, with dark brown hair that had grown out, covering her breasts as her naked body glistened with sweat even in the cold, sterile atmosphere of the room. She was clearly heavily pregnant, and she looked as if she was ready to pop at any minute. At the sound of footsteps, she craned her neck upward, cringing as if took every ounce of energy she had.
"Mary!" Supergirl gasped. "Oh, Rao, it's Mary Marvel!"
They hadn't seen Mary in years, and she was almost unrecognizable now. With a superhuman effort, she forced her lips and tongue to obey her, croaking out her words slowly.
"Kara......"
"Hold on, Mary, we're getting you out of here!"
"........shouldn't have....."
"We're not leaving you behind!"
"..........shouldn't have come......."
"Supergirl!" Raven shrieked suddenly, the uncharacteristic terror in her voice spreading to the rest of them. "They know we're here!"
"How do you know?"
"My powers aren't working!" Raven yelled, flailing her hands through the air in desperate attempts to make her abilities come back. "I can't feel them anymore!"
A sickly green light shone from Mary, and they wheeled around to see some sort of sigil glowing on Mary's pregnant belly. It hadn't been visible in the dark. "That's the Ankh of Agamotto," Raven whispered fearfully, identifying the source of her power loss. "They knew we were coming."
The next words Mary whispered were so soft they were nearly imperceptible, but Kara could hear them like cannons exploding near her eardrums. ".......I'm sorry....."
The sigil grew brighter until the light was blinding, and Mary's stomach began undulating horrifically until her birthing began. But there was no miniature Amazo coming out of her. She threw her head back and howled in pain as her swollen belly began to reduce back to a normal size, the result of her most recent breeding finally coming to fruition. Thick, black, enchanted tentacles began bursting free of her vagina, and before they knew it, there were dozens of them, stretching Mary's pussy agape as they emerged, slashing through the air at breakneck speeds until they wrapped themselves around Selina, Natasha and Raven. They sliced through Catwoman's skintight suit, silencing her cries with a tentacle down the throat, and two up her cunt. They pulled Steel out of her armor piece by piece, dangling her upside down as three tentacles rammed into her ass and pussy. They pulled Raven right on top of Mary, sending two tentacles apiece into all three of her holes, ravaging the three before Supergirl's horrified eyes.
"NO!" Kara screamed, her eyes glowing red as she prepared to fire a burst of heat-vision. "LET THEM GO!"
She never managed to fire that burst, because at that very moment, the lights came on. But they weren't any lights. These lights emitted red solar radiation, and Kara came crashing down to the ground as her powers disappeared under the light. Her shoulder ached, a dull throb that she barely had time to register before Cheetah pulled her to her feet and rushed her to the door.
The door crashed open and two Amazos stepped forward. Cheetah snarled, a cornered cat, and one of the Amazos snarled back, morphing before their eyes into a giant wolf, much larger than either of them. Letting her feral sensibilities take control, Cheetah tried to flee, but the wolf lunged at her from across the room and pinned her to the floor. The last thing Kara heard from her was the feline yelp of pain as the wolf began sodomizing her on the floor.
The other Amazo wasted no time stripping Kara's clothes away with his super-speed. She kicked and screamed, but she was powerless to stop him from shoving his cock inside her and pumping away, his every thrust accompanied by a surge of persuasive telepathic energy, until her screams began to blend into her moans and her moans began to grow louder and louder.
Supergirl had been a priority target for the Amazos for a very long time. Conquering the Earth hadn't been enough. The galaxy lay in wait for Amazo's arrival, and he intended to take every planet in his path with an overwhelming display of force by his army. And the best Amazo-soldiers came from Kryptonian stock. They already had Power Girl and Faora locked up in one of the processing centers, their bodies pumping out new Amazos as fast as they could be bred, but it never hurt to add another little breeding whore to the stock.
As she felt the torrents of cum explode inside her young womb, the last traces of Kara's self began to fade.
