Chapter 9
Day 7:
Wally lay staring blankly at the wall in his room. The food he had been brought by Giganta several hours before lay cold and untouched. He was afraid to move, everything hurt so bad. Luthor had taken him last night, and he had like it. He frowned helplessly at the wall. He had really liked it. The evidence was dried all over his stomach and the sheets he lay on. Tala hadn’t come to clean after Luthor had finished with him the last time. Had it been yesterday? Wally had drifted in and out of a drugged sleep for what seemed like forever. It may have only been an hour.
Despair filled him. He’d given up. He moved his arm weakly to touch the collar around his throat. He recognized the material. It was Grodd’s making, probably, intended to farther control and humiliate him. He shivered.
There were footsteps in the hallways, and then Luthor let himself into Wally’s room, throwing a plain T-shirt and some jeans onto the bed next to the speedster. Tala walked over to him and removed the I.V, ignoring how the hero flinched away from her touch. He didn’t bother fighting. He’d had a day to think about the collar around his throat was, it was probably effective enough to restrain him, and he had no fight left.
“Get dressed.” Lex ordered. “You get to help me with the project I mentioned earlier.” Not bothering to argue, Wally did as he was told. He then limped weakly after Lex down the halls of the ship, unmasked and surrounded by enemies. Wally tried to remember where they were going, left and then right and then another right, but he gave up and resigned himself to looking for a possible future escape route. He had no luck with that either and soon found himself in a large room full of Apokoliptans, who were all surrounding a large circular looking frame, taller than himself, that was situated at the center of the room.
Wally’s body tensed at the sight of the aliens, and he tried not to tremble. Luthor had said if he complied, he wouldn’t hand him over. He had certainly complied, he thought, as his mind flashed, humiliated, back to the several hours of heavily drugged sex he’d been forced to enjoy with Luthor the day before. Forced or no, he had enjoyed it. His emotions were getting all confused now and he couldn’t figure out what to feel. For now, it was all he could to walk meekly behind Luthor and do what he was told. He was as weak as a kitten, though he could feel that this speed had returned.
Farther off, past a glass wall, were the ships that belonged to the Apokoliptans.
A few villains such as Sinestro, Tala, Toyman, Killer Frost, and Giganta were also loitering around the device, looking as though they were on guard duty. Giganta’s eyes followed Wally as he passed her and she frowned as Sinestro laid a light smack to his ass as he passed. Wally flinched away, lowering his eyes in shame as a few of the Apokoliptans laughed.
“Looking good in them jeans,” The Key hissed in his ear as he passed, eyeing the loose fitting jeans that hung from Wally’s hips. Wally looked away, ashamed. He wondered how many of the villains knew what had happened to him, and avoided eye contact with everyone.
They stopped directly in front of the giant circular device and Luthor turned to the unmasked hero. “Toyman, turn on the power.” He ordered, nodding as a second later the edges of the device glowed yellow and made a low humming noise. “Alright, Flash, what I need you to do is simple enough for you to understand. Stick your hands through here” he indicated the vast space inside the circle, “And vibrate the atoms in your arms.”
“What will it do?” Wally asked flatly.
“That’s not your concern, now do it before I decide Bizzaro wants to get laid.” Flash winced at the idea, then sighed. His whole body was sore, but the drug had worn off now and his powers were back. He hadn’t tried to use them since he’d felt them return, and it took more effort than it usually did. He wondered briefly if it was because his body was broken, or his will. They hadn’t even felt the need to restrain him when they let him out of the room. He did as he was told. Almost instantly the humming grew louder and the yellow glow grew and changed until it was a swirling orange that filled the entire circle.
“Granny is pleased” Granny Goodness step out of the crowd of Apokoliptans. “This portal will be wonderful for bringing the rest of Granny’s children here to take over this pitiful world.” Wally’s eyes widened as Luthor smiled and indicated to Giganta and Bizzaro to lead him back to his room.
“I’ll come back to speak with you later.” Luthor said to him and then turned to the demented old woman. Wally flinched at his tone. It was another thing he wasn’t sure how to feel about. Luthor had been so gentle with him yesterday. He could remember it, though he had been out of his mind at the time. He had been almost lovingly gentle, and Wally had lapped it up like an abused puppy. He was ashamed of himself for the way he’d acted. That drug had been so strong…
He mentally shook himself. If that portal was meant to bring Apokolips to Earth, than he needed to stop them… or contact the League so they could stop him. He doubted he was going to be much help. Not that he could see how he could do either.
Giganta returned after leaving Flash in his room, carrying a large tray of food and some of the balm Luthor had applied to Flash’s burns. She gently rubbed it over the still aching burn marks. Wally remained silent as she did this.
“You’re pretty cute,” she said, breaking the silence as she worked. “I figured you would be nice looking but…” she trailed off as Wally slumped, tears spilling over and dripping onto the floor.
“Oh!” Giganta looked distressed at his reaction, and not quite sure what to do. She paused for a moment moved to sit on the bed next to him and put a hand on his back. “I’m sorry that this is happening to you,” she whispered almost inaudibly. He turned his face to meet her eyes, anger flashing briefly in them until he realized her words were sincere.
“Everything hurts,” he whispered weakly, holding the eye contact.
Her expression softened, “Eat, it should help. But let me finish applying this to the rest of your wounds.”
“Don’t bother.”
She regarded him helplessly for a moment. Tears still fell from his eyes. He really was an attractive young man, even while he was crying. “Hun, I have orders to dress your wounds. And I’m pretty sure I’m stronger than you.” She moved toward him and had enough time to register the angry and determined expression on his face before he reacted. He pushed forward with all his strength and darted past her and out the door the villains had stopped bothering to lock. He tore through the hallway, the elation of trying to escape pumping adrenaline into his system. He couldn’t let Luthor keep using with his head. He would escape from this horrible place or die trying. No one would use him like a fuck toy. He had to stop the invasion on Earth, they weren’t strong enough for a full attack from Apokolips. He had to do something.
That defiant though was crossing his mind as the piercing agony of electricity ran through his body, he stumbled as he sped through the corridor. He tripped and at the speed he was running, it turned into a nasty fall. He heard a snapping sound and a moment later felt a sharp aching throb from his arm. The shocks from the collar around his neck continued to pulse even after it had taken him down. He clenched his teeth, squirming in agony on the ground. Blood ran from his lip where, at some point, he had bitten it. He shrieked as the pain went on and one, eyes rolling up into his head. He was finding it hard to breath. This was it then, he thought. I’ll die trying to escape here. I’ll die alone in this horrible place. The corners of his eyes were already fading to darkness, and he felt as though he was looking through a tunnel.
Abruptly, he could breath again. It took him a moment to realize the collar was no longer administering pain because his body was trembling so violently. He gasped for breath, rolled onto his stomach and started to wretch. Long after the contents of his stomach were emptied, he continued to dry heave, tears streaming from his face. He collapsed to his side and hoped that he was letting go of consciousness for the last time.
******Luthor watched the security monitors as Wally shook in agony on the ground as so many volts of electricity raced through his body. It was a horrible sight, and one that he didn’t take pleasure in, despite his rage at the escape attempt. He supposed he couldn’t blame Wally for the attempt. He would have tried tirelessly to escape had he been in the boy’s place.
Regardless, he would now have to be punished severely. He had to crush Wally so thoroughly that the Flash would die forever. He pressed his fingers above his nose to curve off a headache. When he set upon this endeavor he hadn’t realized how draining it would be for him. He was tired of it now. He had no love for the little hero, but he had rarely used such physical violence against one single person. It was so personal. It had been a long time since he had been gentle with someone, and had someone melt like putty in his hands. Drug induced state or not, he had thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He couldn’t be gentle, now, not after the escape attempt. He frowned and glanced at Tala as she awaited her orders.
“Bring him to my rooms,” he ordered.
