Speedy and Robin were busy patrolling the streets; they had become good friends again and vowed not to let a woman come between them. Speedy had hung up the Red X suit, which Robin happily destroyed. Raven had not seen either of them and they hadn’t seen her. Wanting to give her space they decided not to partner up with her during any patrolling or missions.

“Chemical plant? Are you sure?” Speedy asked Robin, looking at the rusting abandoned factory.

“That’s where the distress signal came from.” He said, looking at his communicator.

One of the Titans had sent out a signal for help and Speedy and Robin volunteered to go. They opened the door, the dust filling the air. Speedy started to cough and wave his hand frantically in the air.

“I’m not liking this.” Speedy said, noting how empty it looked.

“Look!” Robin said, pointing to a dark blue cloth in the middle of the room.

The two boys looked at each other and nodded, running over they picked it up. It was Raven’s.

Speedy felt his heart drop and his fists clenched.

“Raven!” He called, his voice echoing throughout the place. “Rav…”

“Ssh..” Robin said, covering Speedy’s mouth. He nodded to another area of the plant.

They took one step and blinding lights emitted from nowhere.

“Nice of you two to drop by.” Came a dark voice.

Speedy and Robin looked up and saw Red X leaning over the balcony, a remote of some kind in his hand. Speedy growled and Robin pulled his staff out.

“Where’s Raven!” They both demanded.

“Raven?” He looked up and thought for a moment… “Oh..THAT Raven.”

Laughing he pressed the button and the lights moved over to a vat, hanging above the vat was none other than Raven. She appeared unconscious.

Speedy and Robin were furious they started to charge at Red X. He held his hand out and laughed, “Come one step closer and…boom.”

His pointed to several explosives littered around the facility.

“What do you want?” Robin asked, holding Speedy back.

“It’s not what I want…” He began but stopped and laughed, “Actually it is…”

Red X turned around and pointed the remote at the window, a screen moved down all around the room. A video started to play.

Raven was grasping onto a metal beam as Red X pushed himself into her. She moaned loudly, her hand gripping his that was on her waist.

“Say my name…” The video Red X said grunting as he thrusted deeper into her warm core.

“Jason!” Raven called, her eyes closed shut, and mouth gaped open.

Speedy was furiously trying to get at Red X, but Robin was holding him back.

Pulling out an arrow and batarag they shot/threw it at X. X did a back flip and dodged the arsenal attack.

“That all you got?” He asked with a laugh, pressing a button as Raven slowly started to descend into the pit.

“STOP!” Robin called lunging for the remote and knocking it off the edge. It fell to the ground with a thud.

“Great…” Red X said, jumping down and picking the remote up, stopping the moving.

Robin and Speedy jumped down and continued to attack Red X with no avail. In the end they lay beaten and bloody at his foot.

“Still trying?” Red X asked, bending down and ripping Speedy and Robin’s mask off, laughing hysterically.

“So much for secret identities…” He stood up and took his mask off, it clunked to the ground. He smoothed his hair back and gave a toothy grin.

Speedy looked at Raven who seemed to have come to. She was staring at him, her eyes watering.

Red X turned to her and smiled, “Don’t even try Speedy, she’s way out of your league.”

He pressed the button and she fell into the vat. Speedy and Robin yelled for her as her head went under. Speedy started to sob and then glared at Red X, jumping up and tackling him, punching him several times in the face.

“I’ll fucking kill you!” He shouted before Red X kicked him off of him.

“Highly doubt it.” He detonated the bombs around the place.

Robin dragged Speedy out of there before it came down.

“We have to! We have to get her!” Speedy called, trying to make a run for the crumbling building.

“There’s nothing we can do!” Robin said, holding him back, tears running down his cheeks.

Speedy sat on the ground breathing hard and sobbing. It was his fault she left.

Red X moved through the rubble as soon as Speedy and Robin were long gone. He made it up to the tank and opened it, spilling lime green jelly everywhere. Raven was covered in the stuff as she floated out. He picked her up, wiping some of the goo from her face and shook her.

“Rise and Shine…” he said, giving her a little slap in the face.

Raven woke up and looked at him, blinking several times.

“Is it over?”

“Yup.” He said, hugging her closely. “You smell though.”

“Thanks.”

Raven pulled away and shook her head. “No.”

Red X sighed, “You know I don’t take no for an answer.”

“Look at that.” Beast Boy pointed, transforming into a dog and sniffing around. “It’s Raven…”

He sniffed around a few more times and turned back. “She was here like…2 minutes ago.”

“She’s still alive!” Speedy said, pushing through the crowd and looking around. He bent down and picked up a small cloth from her leotard. He brought his nose to it and sniffed it, repulsing himself.

“Well?’ Robin asked, Speedy shook the thought from his head and turned to his friend. “She’s alive…I’m counting on it.”

“We’ll find her! And deal with Red X!”
