It had been many weeks later, Raven still stayed clear of the Titans, including Robin. She kept to herself and they gave her the distance she needed. She would often wake in the middle of the night, crying. She would curse under her breath whenever she saw Robin and Starfire lock lips, hold hands, or feed each other.

Robin had noticed Raven’s seclusivness and felt bad. It had been his fault that she did what she did, and what happened to her was on his head. Every day he would knock on her door, expecting her to crack it open as she usually did. However, she never answered.

He would trudge back to his room, often shooing Starfire away. She had become somewhat clingy, always wanting what he cannot give her 24 hours a day. Robin leaned back in his bed, staring at the ceiling.

Raven was on her bed, doing the same thing he was. Their minds both crossed each other’s path, thinking of what happened in the past. Raven would shed a tear and roll over to sleep. Robin would clench his fist and mentally spar with himself.

*You clearly care for her* One side of his mind said, wagging a mental finger at him.

*You’re with Starfire. She’s smokin’ hot!* The other would say.

They tore at each other, while he sat and waited it out. He would get migranes and pop pills into his mouth, hoping to clear his head, but it wasn’t clear…not at all.

The Titans were chasing Dr. Light on top of the roofs of Jump City. Raven and Starfire had gone a different way, cutting him off as he landed on a rather large roof.

Robin and Cyborg would come up behind him, Beast Boy to the side.

“Give it up!” Robin called, pulling out his birdarang and holding it up incase he moved.

Dr. Light laughed sinisterly, ripping off part of his face to reveal that he was in fact Slade. The Titans gasped and took a few steps back. Slade laughed some more, his eye looking at Robin, who was squeezing tightly onto his birdarang.

“Hello Titans.” Slade said in his chill voice, laughing as he looked at Raven.

Raven clenched her fists, wanting to take him out. She moved her hands in front of her, ready. Just as she was about to do what she had been waiting for, Robin lunged at him. He was struck in the side and flipped backwards, landing on his feet, touching the ground lightly.

“You’ll pay for what you did!” He yelled at Slade who stood straight.

Robin ran towards him, pulling out his bo staff and hurling it down at Slade. Slade caught the staff and pushed back on it, tearing it from Robin’s hand. He kicked Robin in the stomach and hit him in the back with the staff.

The other titans ran after Slade, each attacking him. Beast Boy transformed into a lion and pounced on him, only to be kicked off and slammed into Cyborg. Starfire shot starbolts at him, flying as fast as she could. Slade grabbed her by the face and slammed her into the roof ground, making it crack.

He looked around at the groaning Titans. Walking over to Robin and picking him up by the scruff of his neck.

“I should have disposed of you when I had the chance.” He grumbled, throwing Robin into the ground, he raised a fist to deliver the final blow.

A black hand grabbed onto his wrist, making it so he couldn’t move his hand. He looked up and saw Raven standing nearby her eyes glowing white.

“Don’t you touch him.” She said growling.

Slade let go of Robin and stood laughing. He snapped his fingers and Red X came out of nowhere, kicking her in the back. She fell to the ground as Red X held a foot on her back.

“Hey there dark and beautiful.” He said looking down at her.

Slade walked over to Red X and Raven. He bent down and tilted her head towards him.

“It’s amazing what people will do for a little power.”

Raven glanced up at Red X who held a larger vile of Zinthonium.

“Told you I needed just a little more.” He said with a hearty chuckle.

Slade pulled out a needle and moved to Robin, picking up him.

“To finish what I started…” He said moving the needle to Robin’s neck.

“I said…DON’T TOUCH HIM!” Raven yelled, her eyes and hands glowing bright.

She threw Red X off of her and off of the building, he got away before hitting the ground, she was sure of it. Slade looked up at her, narrowing his eye. He slowly brought the needle to Robin testing Raven.

Raven held her hands out, a giant raven creature emitted from her, making Slade drop Robin. He stood and backed away slowly.

“Azarath…Metrion…Zinthos…” She chanted over and over as the raven got bigger.

It crowed, showing sharp teeth. Slade frowned and lunged at Raven, wanting to end her life at that moment. The raven launched down on him, engulfing him in total darkness.

His screams and shrieks echoed throughout the streets, Raven’s eyes turned red, her hair growing long. She continued chanting, squeezing Slade tightly. Robin opened his eyes and saw Raven.

“Raven! No!” He shouted, struggling to get up.

“You took everything away from me!” She shouted at Slade, ignoring Robin.

“You…don’t have the guts…” Slade said laughing as his breathing got harder.

Raven grinned evily, making Slade’s eyes widened. He struggled as the raven’s claw crushing him, his armor slowly crunching like tin foil.

Robin got up and ran to Raven, attempting to stop her. She held a hand out and pushed him back.

“Raven! Stop! You’re killing him!”

“That’s the point.” She said her voice sounding distorted and evil.

“You’re not like that Raven! Please stop!” Robin continued, trying to get to her, breaking through her grasp.

“He deserves it…you know that Robin…”

Raven’s outfit and cloak started to tear to pieces as Slade was getting crushed.

“Please! Raven! Don’t!” Robin finally reached her, grabbing onto her arm.

He grabbed her face and kissed her, burning flames erupted between them, causing both to writh in pain. Raven’s raven fell to pieces, making Slade fall to the ground.

Raven broke the kiss and looked at him, taking a step back and falling. Her eyes closed as she fell down the building. Robin yelled her name and jumped after her.

He held his arms to his side to go faster, wrapping an arm around her waist and shooting up a grapping hook, it missed. He looked as the ground was rapidly approaching. He cupped her face.

“If you go, Raven…I’m going with you!” He shouted, pressing his lips against hers.

Raven opened her eyes, glowing brightly as they hit the ground. Instead of stopping they went through it, black light surrounded them pulling them back to reality.

Robin appeared above the roof top and landed with her in his arms, Slade had escaped and the Titans were coming to. Robin lay Raven on the ground, her head still in his arms.

“Please Raven…be alright.” He whispered, holding her body to him.

Starfire approached and placed a hand on his shoulder; he shrugged it away and continued to look at her.

Raven moaned and opened her eyes, looking at the teary eyed Titan. Robin smiled and brought his lips to hers, Starfire’s eyes widened and her mouth dropped.

“Robin! Robin! What are you doing? Is it the CPR?” She asked, dotting around him and Raven as they kissed.

Cybrog grabbed Starfire and shook his head, her eyes tearing up. Robin and Raven broke the kiss and stared up at each other.

“You…would…” She said slowly, remembering his words.

“If you go…I go…” He repeated, shocked as she wrapped her arms around him.

Slade stood at the edge of a nearby building, holding onto his arm. He growled at the Titans.

“Looks like you’re going to get a new hobby.” Red X said walking up behind him.

“I doubt it.” Slade said, turning to Red X and socking him in the face.

Red X flew to the ground, looking up.

“I still have plans for the young birds.” He laughed and disappeared into the shadows.

Red X rubbed his chin and shook his head, “And they say I’m crazy…”
