Chapter Eight
" Oh God! Karai! NO!!! "

Leo jumped to his feet and started to head across the roof to the other side of the building, his face twisted in anger and sorrow. Thinking quickly, Raphael leapt to his feet and flipped over Leo's head, landing and planting his feet squarely in front of him. Mike and Don then came to Raph's aid, each of them grabbing a hold of Leo's arms and holding them tightly. Leo growled in anger at what his brothers were doing, and he pushed his body beyond its limits to free himself. But soon he began to grow weak; the collective strength of all his brothers combined was too much for him to handle. A long sigh escaped from his lips as he lowered his eyes to the roof, finally allowing his brothers to overcome him. A stifling silence then took over the night air, booming loudly between them. Michelangelo was the first to break it.

" Don't worry dude, " he said with a reassuring pat on his brother's back." We'll get her back. "

Leo turned his head to mike, his eyes still to the roof. " I know, Mikey. And, thanks. "

Feeling Leonardo relax, Donnie and Mike loosened their grips and watched with sad faces as Leo moved back to the window, where Karai still laid naked on the bed, her ripped kimono beneath her. Every few minutes Karai would pull on her chains, but would quickly give up on freeing herself.

As Karai gave the chains another tug, a sudden knock on the door startled her, and she once again gave up on her freedom. Slowly the door opened, and the head of a young girl peaked in. She glanced around the room, then entered, a thin white sheet folded neatly in her hands. Without saying a word, the girl walked over to Karai and threw open the sheet, laying it over Karai. The girl then went into the adjacent bathroom, returning a moment later to Karai's side with a rag, a bar of soap, and a basin of water.

" I am sorry, Mistress Karai, " the girl spoke in Japanese, adding a slight bow to her words." But I have my orders to cleanse away all presence of that turtle from you. "

" Please, Yuki! " Karai pleaded, also in her native tongue." Free me, and you can tell my father that I knocked you out and ran away. "

Yuki shook her head, refusing to show any emotions in her face." I am sorry, Mistress. I can not. "

" My father wants me to marry that man Kash, " Karai added as Yuki sat on the edge of the bed, the basin in her lap.

Yuki dipped the rag into the basin and rung out the excess water." Yes, I know. But it is better this way. At least he is human, not a freak like your current husband. "

Karai struggled to sit up, but found the only thing she could do was raise her head." How dare you speak of Leonardo that way! "

" It is the truth, Mistress, " Yuki smiled wickedly at Karai's outburst." He is a freak, and he does not have the courage to come here for you. He is a coward. "

Hearing the words fall from Yuki mouth made Leo full of rage, and his brothers had to once again hold him back from entering the building. Back inside the room, Yuki was washing Karai's body, paying close attention to her breasts and in between her legs. After she dried Karai, she returned her supplies to the bathroom, then returned again with a small bottle of perfume. As she proceeded to lightly dab the contents on Karai, the rose scent of the perfume drifted through the window, hitting Leonardo in all of his senses. It was the same scent he had smelled the day they had met. He closed his eyes, remembering how it had filled his room the night they had first made love. Leo then realized he was becoming sidetracked, and he shook the thought from his head. Glancing back into the room, Leo noticed the girl was gone, and Karai was again alone.

" Come on, guys, " Leo told his brothers. " Let's go. "

" Right. " they said in unison, then followed Leo deep in the shadows, moving with great stealth to avoid the foot soldiers that still ventured in and out of the building. On the mansion's west wing, they spotted an open window and crawled inside, making sure to hurry along the long hall so as not to be seen. The hall opened up into a enormous room, full of ancient Japanese books that sat high on fifty foot tall shelves. On the far end of the room sat a large statue of the Shredder's real life persona, Oroko Saki. Leo studied the statue for a moment, then discover a small button on the base of Saki's neck. He pushed it without a second thought, and the statue broke in half to reveal an elevator.

" Looks like we have to get in this thing, guys, " Leo said pointing his finger at the statue. Mike leaned over his brother's shoulders and gulped at the foreboding sense the dark elevator gave him.

" Do we have to? " he asked in a whimper." We don't even know where it goes. "

" No, we don't. " Leo moved inside the elevator and waved his brothers on." But we're going to find out. "

After yanking Mike into the elevator, the door shut on them, than after a loud banging noise, the elevator began to descend. When it finally stopped and the doors slid back open, they found themselves in the basement of the house. As they cautiously moved down the hallway, the smell of mold and rotting flesh hit theirs nose, giving them all a sense of dread. Just as they reached the other end of the hallway, Leo suddenly stopped dead in his tracks and turned to his right.

" What's the matter, bro? " Raph asked.

" I heard someone moaning in there. " Leo pointed to the dampened wooden door he had stopped in front of, then stepped up to it and began to push it open. The room was as dark and damp as the hallway had been, but Leo peered through the darkness until he noticed a figure hidden among the shadows. The figure then stopped moving, knowing that it had been discovered, and it slowly made its way into the light.

" Oh my... " Leo heard himself gasp. The figure before them was another mutant turtle, who looked much like them. His mask was black, and around his wrists and ankles were shackles that were attached to the wall. Mike was the first to notice the dried blood and deep cuts on the strange turtle's body, and he pointed this out to Leo.

" Looks like he's been trying to free himself, " Leo whispered to his brothers.

" So....we finally meet, Leonardo. " the turtle in black spoke, almost catching the Turtles off guard.

Leo eyed the turtle carefully." How do you know my name? "

The turtle did not show any emotion on his face, but stared Leo down." I know of all of you. It was my job. "

" What is your name? " Donatello asked, himself intrigued by the sight of another mutant turtle.

" My name is DC, but there is no time to talk. " DC rose his shackles in the air. " You have to help me out of here. " Raph growled and stepped up next to Leo, his fist ready to fight." And why should we? How do we know you're not working for Shredder and this is all some kind of trick? "

" If it was a trick, and if I did work for him, Raphael, do you really think I would be down here? " He again raised his chains to them, his eyes finally showing them the hurt he suffered for so long." Please. I beg you. "

Leo nodded to Raph, who then crossed his arms and turned away from the turtle." Fine. But I'll be watching you! "

With one quick slice from his sword, Leo easily sliced through the chains, and DC finally stood up straight for the first time in years without the weight of the shackles holding him down. But he soon discovered that his muscles were very weak, and he cursed his brother under his breath from all the time he had drugged him. Noticing that the turtle in black was about to fall, Don rushed to his side and helped DC before he hit the ground.

" How long have you been here, DC? " Don asked as he offered DC his bo staff to keep his balance.

" Too long, my friend, " DC grasp the staff tightly, then grabbed at his aching lungs, finally realizing how badly he had suffered. " I went against the master and I was imprisoned for it. But it did not help that my brother went against me and tortured me as much as he could. "

" Your brother! " The four turtles exclaimed at once.

" Yes, but I will explain on the way out. " He looked back into Leo's eyes." We must move and find your wife before it is too late. "

After convincing them that he could stand on his own, DC led the way down the hall until they reached another Saki statue that opened into another elevator. On the ride up, DC began to explain about Shredder's plan, how he created him and his brother Reaper to capture and kill the turtles. He also spoke of Karai's arranged marriage to Kash, which was supposed to bring honor back to their family.

" I can't let her marry that guy, " Leo said through clenched teeth.

Feeling the hurt from his brother, Raphael slammed his fist into the elevator wall and stared down DC." Why should we believe you? You could be taking us to Shredder as we speak! "

DC shook his head at Raph's anger, quickly dismissing it." You should believe me because I do not want Karai to marry Kash either. My only wish is for her to be with my father as it should be. "

" Who is your father, DC? " Leo asked after a moment of silence.

DC looked deeper into Leo's eyes." You are, Leonardo. Me and my brother were created from you and Karai. "

" Now I know your lying! " Raphael yelled as he grabbed DC by the neck. Leo lunged at his brother and pulled him away.

" Raphael! Stop it! "

DC fell to one knee, one hand still hanging onto Don's staff as the other one covered the coughs that escaped his mouth. After Leo calmed Raph down, he leaned over and pulled DC back to his feet, his eyes moving all over the face of the black-masked turtle. For a time, there was nothing but a heavy silence as Leo stared at DC, but when he finally spoke, a slight smile had emerged on his face.

" I believe you. You truly are my son. "

" Wow, Leo's a daddy. " Mikey sputtered out, adding a little chuckle to lighten to mood.

" Well, for now, you can just call me Leo, DC. "
DC bowed slightly." Very well...Leo. "

The elevator then came to a stop and the doors slid open. They stepped into another corridor, all of them impressed with the lush Japanese tapestries that hung on the walls, and the vast collection of antique vases that were spread along the tables. They moved to the very end of the hallway where a door was slightly ajar, and as they leaned in, they heard what sounded like the voice of a minister.

" By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife. "

" NOOO!! " Leo yelled as jump through the door, his swords tightly grasped in his hands. His eyes jumped from Saki to the girl he had seen earlier through the window then to the shocked look on the minister's face. His sight finally rested on the bed where Karai was still bound by chains, and on Kash, who was laying naked on top of Karai under the sheets, his face pressed to Karai's mouth, preventing her from screaming.

" You are too late, freak! " Saki exclaimed." My daughter has brought honor back to our family b marrying Kash! And now there is nothing that you can anything to stop it! "

" You want to bet? " Leo growled, his eyes narrowed on the man that laid upon his wife.

" Foot soldiers! " Saki screamed with his fist in the air. The windows flew open and a troop of fifty Foot came into the room, surrounding the Turtles and DC. Saki grabbed the still surprised minister and carried him through a secret passage out of the room, Yuki following closely behind. The Foot continued to stand still until a tall, muscular man crashed into the room through the passage door.

" Hun! " Don cried out.

" I' ve been waiting a long time to my hands on you freaks again!â€� Hun pounded the wall, causing it to crack all the way up to the ceiling. Raph then withdrew his Sai from his belt and smiled wickedly.

" Come and get it, lard butt! "

" Foot! Attack! " Hun called out and the Foot wasted no time in their assault. As his brothers started to battle, Leo couldn't turn his eyes away from Karai, who was being forced to have sex with a man that she deeply despised. Suddenly a Foot soldier threw a punch at Leo, hitting him squarely in the jaw, and sending the turtle straight to the ground. Leo did not move for a second, his mind crying out in pain for the woman he loved. He sprung back to his feet and began to slowly fight his way to Karai, knocking out every Foot that attacked him with one blow. When he reached the bed, he grabbed Kash by his ponytail and threw him to the ground, disgusted by the smile on the man's face.

" You are too late, Leonardo! " Kash laughed." I have won! She is now bearing my child! "

Leo held his swords to Kash's throat, his eyes burning in blind fury." Then you will not live to see that child as it born into this world. "

" We shall see. " Kash then jumped from Leo's reached. He grabbed the bed sheet off of Karai, exposing her to everyone and tied it around his waist, covering his own nakedness. With a snap of his fingers, a Foot member tossed a sword through the air, and Kash leapt off the bed, catching the sword as he landed. He lunged at Leo, their swords ringing so loud that it echoed over the fight around them. Kash leaned in as he pushed Leo with his sword, his smile growing more insane with every second.

" You should see how my wife loves it when I touch her, when I drag my tongue across her body. " Leonardo knew that Kash was trying to upset him, and he couldn't stop himself from getting more angered." I will not allow you to do this to her! "

" Then you will have to kill me, turtle. "

Leo then leaned in, almost touching Kash's nose with his beak." As you wish. "

As their fight turned more violent, the other turtles were finally pushing back the Foot. DC was keeping Hun busy, hoping he was enough to distract the giant man away from the other turtles. But with every attack he attempted, DC would fall back to the ground, cursing his brother once again for drugging him. The other Turtles soon came to his aid, and after noticing he was outnumbered and suddenly more bruised, Hun made a run for the exit. They then turned to help Leo, but just stood in awe at the intensity of the battle; the clanging of their swords rang throughout the mansion.

Leo fiercely swung at Kash, narrowly missing the man's head as he turned to counter attack. Kash lunged at Leo, tearing of a piece of the turtle's bandanna. Leo ducked down to avoid another slash of Kash's sword, then turned and charged at Kash, his sword swinging in furry. Kash then suddenly fell backwards, his feet tripping over a pillow that had fallen on the floor. Leo jumped at him, and Kash moved just in time as Leo's sword sliced through his ponytail, cutting it from the back of his head. Kash growled and leapt to his feet, landing right behind the turtle.

" Leo! Look out! " Karai screamed out. Leo looked over at her, then felt a sudden sharp pain coming from his shoulder blade. He dropped to his knees as the pain over took him, and through his teary eyes, he could see the blade of Kash's sword sticking out from his own body, his own blood leaking down to his fingers. As Leo fell over, Kash placed his foot upon the turtle and began to push the sword deeper in, his insane laughter echoing in Karai's ears as she screamed out in agony.

" NNNOOOO!!!! "
