Leonardo heard the front door open and looked up. As much as he hated the logic, it was too early for Raph to be home. He relaxed his stance, lowering his blades toward the training mat, and walked to the doorway of the dojo, where he had a clear view to the front door. His eyes locked on the petite blonde figure standing at the threshhold. "Hello?" she called uncertainly.
He glanced around to see if anyone was going to answer her. Music coming from the room above him suggested that she probably hadn't even been heard. She sighed deeply and walked over to the couch, sitting down on the edge of the cushions and hiding her face in her hands.
Leo sighed. Any thoughts that she might not remember her way back were gone. Not that he'd for a moment had thought that was a logical thing to hope for. He slipped his swords back into their sheaths and approached her silently. "God, what am I doing here?" she mumbled into her hands.
"I was wondering the same thing."
She nearly jumped out of her skin, bolting up off of the sofa in a heartbeat and tripping over the coffee table. She lost her balance and crashed down hard on the floor with her arms behind her. Leo's eyes ran over her. She was in jeans and a half-shirt this time, so at least she was dressed. He shook his head slightly and stepped around the sofa to offer her a hand.
She stared at him for a moment, not sure whether or not she wanted to take it. This was the one who hated her, the one who'd made Raph so angry. She didn't trust him in the least, and she didn't like him. But it wasn't doing her any good to sit here on her ass...
She took his hand hesitantly and he helped her up to her feet, stepping back as she brushed herself off. "Why are you here?" he asked, his voice expressionless.
She swallowed hard and shrank back just slightly. "I... came to see Raph."
"His room's over there," Leo gestured, a hint of vengeance in his tone. He knew damn well Raph didn't want to see her. "You're welcome to wait for him."
She ran her fingers through her hair and clenched her arms over her chest. This brother of Raphael's made her very nervous. Why couldn't she have run into one of the others? "He's... not home?"
"No."
"Do you know when he will be?"
"No."
She stared at him for a moment and took another step back, curling in on herself as her eyes dropped to the floor. "Oh," she whispered faintly. She didn't know what to say to him, but she certainly didn't want to challenge him.
He wasn't speaking. He seemed to be waiting for some kind of response from her. "He came to see me the other night and I... haven't seen him since."
Leonardo stared at her for a moment, then sighed deeply. He might not like or approve of how she got here, but there wasn't a hell of a lot he could do about that now. He held a hand out to her, trying to make her just a little more comfortable. "I'm Leonardo. What's your name again?" If she was going to be coming down here regularly, he might as well at least try to build up a little bit of trust.
She shifted slightly, and very slowly reached out to take his hand. "Ivy," she whispered.
He nodded. "I guess we kinda..." He offered a slight, forced smile. "... got off to a bad start. Understand that it's not you." She nodded, her head still down, and he sighed. "It's just that we've worked really hard to make sure this place isn't easily accessible and kept secret. For obvious reasons. We've got a few enemies out there. Some we don't know of yet and some we do."
She nodded again. "I'd... never tell anyone about this," she whispered. "I don't want to put you guys in any danger."
He sighed. "And it's not just us, either, Ivy. If anyone even thinks you know us and know where we live..." He shook his head slightly. "And God help you if they think you're actually dating Raph, whether or not it's true."
"Why do you say that?" she asked timidly.
"Because some of the people we know wouldn't hesitate to use you as bait for us," he answered coldly. "And I'm not going to put this entire clan in danger if you decide to be stupid."
She straightened, tension flowingoughough her muscles at his tone. She debated for a moment shooting something back at him, but almost immediately decided against it. She kept it to herself. But she knew that if she ever were in danger, he couldn't keep Raph from coming to save her, even if he tried. Raph was strong, and he cared too much about her to let anything happen to her.
"Anyways," Leo sighed. "What's really bothering me about this whole thing, is how the hell did you manage to follow Raph?"
She shifted nervously. "He... was really drunk?" she offered meekly.
"You got him drunk," Leo assumed.
She nodded just slightly. "Well, he was already pretty smashed when we left the bar. It wasn't..." She squirmed, and looked down, her voice cutting out.
"Wasn't what?" Leo pried.
She sighed. "It wasn't supposed to happen quite the way it did. He... I just expected him to... pass out or something. But he wouldn't stay. Even when he was too damn drunk to walk."
"You wanted him to spend the night with you."
She nodded. "Not so much that..." She let out a quiet, frustrated growl. "It's not that I wanted him to so much as I just expected that he would. So I didn't think anything about getting him so drunk."
Leo looked away and glared at the floor. Regardless of her story, Raph knew damn well how drunk he was getting. He did it willingly.
"I know you guys have enemies," she continued quietly. "And when he said he wasn't going to stay I was... worried. Not that I thought there would be anything I could do to help him but just... so I'd know what happened if any of his friends... you guys... came looking for him."
Great. Well, her story made perfect sense to him. In fact, it was probably what he would've done had he been in her circumstances. Damn you, Raph... Okay. So maybe she wasn't really a threat, and if those were her motives than she'd be a better ally than enemy. He decided to try and get over his first impression of her.
"I... appreciate your concern," he sighed. "Raph just doesn't think about his safety sometimes."
She dared a quick glance up at him and smiled faintly. "Yeah."
He looked up at the clock and sighed. "I honestly don't know when Raph's going to be back. Probably not for quite a while. But you're welcome to stay if you want. There's pop in the fridge and TV," he gestured. He grinned just slightly, a sadistic glint in his eye. "I'm sure Raph would love to see you when he gets home."

Raphael walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge. He stared into it for a moment before closing it again. "Morning, Raph," Don greeted, not looking up from the morning paper.
"Sleep well?" Leo smirked, also not looking up.
Raph turned and glared at him. "Not funny, Leo," he informed coldly. "You know, it's not too early in the morning to kick your ass."
Leo glanced up at him and grinned. "Try it. I've had three hours of practice this morning and you've had a hangover."
"This should be an interesting match," Donatello mumbled, a small smile crossing his lips.
"Shut up, Don," Raph snapped, opening the cabinets and staring inside of them for something that wouldn't make him throw up.
"Of course if you're feeling invigorated by your rest and relaxation last night..." Leo continued, still smiling slightly.
Raph slammed the cabinet shut so hard the walls shook. Don glanced up as Raph spun and tried to hide the fact that it just about made him fall over from dizziness. "This is the last time I'm gonna warn you, Leo."
"Then you're gonna kick my ass, right?" Leonardo answered, eyes locked on his brother's. "Go ahead."
Raphael growled. He was in no condition to fight right now and Leo knew it. He was calling his bluff. He spun and headed out of the room, abandoning the thought of food as his head pounded and his stomach churned. He was going back to bed.
His brothers watched him go and Don glanced back down at the paper. "What was that about?" he questioned.
Leo grinned. "Raph slept on the couch last night. He just went in his room right before you got up."
Don glanced up, shooting a questioning glance in his direction. "Why?"
A sadistic smile answered him. "'Cause Ivy was in bed.bed."
Donatello watched him for a moment, determined he was serious, and looked back down, shaking his head slightly as he continued reading.

(19:37:26) You have just entered room "CLOSED CHAT"
SnowPea12: yo!
kchic797: Okay so here I sit in a bra and panties because I just jogged home, I'm hot and sweaty, and hey, all my windows are shaded except for the one in the office where you REALLY can't see in 'cause there's a tree there.
SnowPea12: ... LOL!
SnowPea12: way to GO!
kchic797: Want to pull the blinds just in case though, right? So I'm looking down, watching my cat coil around my feet and trying not to step on him as I walk into the office, look up, and there's 4 young teen boys (13?) CLIMBING THE TREE and at EYE LEVEL with me...
SnowPea12: LOLOLOLOL!
SnowPea12: HOLY SHIT!!
kchic797: Yeah
kchic797: that's about what I said.
A noise behind her stopped her from typing anything more, and she jumped up on the chair. "Raph, wait! There's...!" She paused as she saw his smirk, and his eyes glued to her chest. "... no blinds and kids right outside the window."
He licked his lips, and stood still in the doorway. She looked quite a bit different now than she had a week ago, when he'd first seen her. Her hair was a light brown; she wasn't nearly so skinny. She was starting to develop some muscle toning again. He liked it. A lot. Almost as much as he liked what she was wearing. "Nice outfit..."
She slid out of the chair and pulled the blanket up off the floor, around her shoulders. "Stay close to the wall and grab that side of the blinds, will you?" she directed.
He complied, and they both stood on tiptoes to slip the rod into it's holder. The blanket fell, from her shoulders as she reached, but the blinds wedged into the space they belonged in. She turned back to the computer, listening to the calls of the boys outside as they continued to play in the tree. "Hey, Lady!"
Raphael shot a look at the closed-off window. "Want me to go kill 'em?"
She laughed quietly. He might be joking, but he was serious, too. "No, they're just playing."
Pandora_Online: I'm *choke* so *snicker* sorry for *guffaws* you
SnowPea12: WHY were they THERE? b/c of YOU?! or just basic coincidence?
kchic797: I HOPE it's not because of me. lol
kchic797: That would be frightening
kchic797: And THEN, to top it off
SnowPea12: ...
SnowPea12: there's MORE?
SnowPea12: yer bra broke?
SnowPea12: and you flashed the boys
SnowPea12: and now you're chatting from jail for statutory rape/flashing
kchic797: I go to pull the blinds, right? I mean, ducked around the side of the window, blew them a kiss and a wave, and went to pull the blinds... and they FELL OFF THE WALL.
SnowPea12: LOL
"You blew them a kiss?" Raphael chuckled, reading over her shoulder.
She laughed. "What else was I supposed to do, Raph? Turn red and struggle frantically to cover the fact that I'm walking around my house half naked?"
He shook his head slightly, trying not to laugh. "That's my girl. Flirtin' with jail bait."
She turned to him and smiled, then blew him a kiss. "Hey, I flirt with you..."
"I'm legal," he smirked.
"Right," she laughed. "Legal. Minus the social security number, and unconvicted for how many counts of assault and battery? What seof tof the word 'legal' were you going for?"
SnowPea12: so are they still OUT there?
kchic797: yup. Tho I can't see them
SnowPea12: LOLOLOL
SnowPea12: wow.
Pandora_Online: look at it this way, you gave them the thrill of their barely pubescent lives
kchic797: *looks down at what she's wearing and ALMOST blushes...* Yeah... I'd say so.
Raphael's eyes ran over the lacy bra and matching panties, his mind half-attempting to answer her. Somewhere, the lines were crossed. He stepped forward, resting a hand on her shoulder. "As in, it ain't illegal fer you ta show off that very hot…" His hand ran up over the strap of the red lace bra and slowly dragged it off her shoulder. "…sexy… erotic…"
She shrugged him off, grinning evilly in spite of his half-hearted attempt at seduction. "I don't know, Raph… You know what they say. It ain't legal 'til there's grass on the playing field…"
He smirked back at her, a dark glint in his eyes. "Hey, it's green, ain't it?"
She pulled the strap back up onto her shoulder. "Yeah… that just means it ain't ripe."
She glanced up, and watched as he opened his mouth to attempt an answer. But he closed it again without speaking. A quiet laugh escaped her and she leaned toward her, reaching out to grip the bottom of his plastron and extend her fingers up inside of him, just barely brushing skin. "But that's okay," she whispered. "I like it anyhow."
He pulled away before she got a good grope, and glared at her briefly, trying to figure out if she was worth the condescending tone. What she said didn't bother him in the least. It was the way she'd said it.
kchic797: Anyways. I've totally lost my train of thought. I sat down here to write something and... I don't remember how it went.
Pandora_Online: heh
Techieleeder: *chuckles* I hate that
kchic797: I could GET it by walking down the street again but... *looks down at the lack of clothing* That's not gonna happen
Techieleeder: *chuckles* ahh.. give the neighborhood a thrill
kchic797: lol The boys are still in my yard. I wouldn't get past my front sidewalk…
He decided to give her another shot. She wasn't stupid enough to be trying to patronize him. "What're ya tryin' to write this time?" he questioned, watching her type. A grin crossed his face. "More smut about me?"
She shot him a pathetic look. She'd never meant for him to read anything she wrote. Unfortunately, it couldn't be helped. He didn't exactly ask permission. And wouldn't you know it? Erotica interested him. Now there was a stretch.
"I never said I write smut about you," she defended.
He nodded, but the smirk told her he didn't buy it. "Yeah, so ya don't put a name on it. Don't mean nothin'. Mystery character who shows up unannounced with the best sex she's ever had in her life?" He chuckled. "I know it's me."
She rolled her eyes, glancing back at the computer. "Right."
"And that bein' the case…" He patted her on her naked shoulder, more to hear the quiet slapping sound than to encourage her. "You get my ass laid more often than any other fan out there."
She eyed him, smirking. "And such a cute ass, too." Her eyes turned back to the screen and she laughed slightly as she ran back over his words. "And what exactly do you mean by fan? Like you actually have a fan club out there..."
"What, you don't think so?" he challenged.
A pathetic look answered him, and he laughed. "Baby, you're good. You ain't that good."
"Uh huh," he muttered. "Tell me about my ass again."
Techieleeder: as much as I am into READING... I dunno if I could actually WRITE erotica like that
kchic797: Oh, it's surprisingly easy
Techieleeder: *chuckels*
kchic797: You just need a willing subject. Like Aaron. lol He's surprisingly cooperative.
She reached up and stroked his side lightly, pulling her hand back after brief contact. "I could... but that'd be teasing."
"Eh?" He paused as he captured her wrist and brought it back up to his side. "You could what?"
"I could tell you all about how much fun your ass and other parts can be... but it would just be teasing."
Raphael grinned and slid his hands down from her shoulders to the tops of her breasts before pulling back up. From anyone else, she might have expected it to be the beginnings of a deep massage. But with Raph, he was just doing it for him. Well… not just for him.
She smiled as she relaxed against the back of the chair, and his eyes ran over the chat room conversation. He chuckled. "Yeah, I'm cooperative," he grinned. "And yer surprisingly easy."
She glared at the screen for a minute. "Is your name Aaron?"
He laughed again, rubbing at her shoulders. "It is in yer books. And you know it damn well, too."
She wasn't prepared to argue. The fact of the matter was, he was the model for Aaron's character. But something else had caught her attention. "I'm easy? What's that supposed to mean?"
Techieleeder: *chuckles* really.. you surprised me with aaron. he seems like he would be stubborn and uncooperative.. if it was something YOU wanted.
kchic797: ironically, Aaron seems to be very cooperative with me for sex scenes... but not in normal scenes. And Matt is fine in normal scenes but I have a hard time writing him in sex.
SnowPea12: *has no problem w/ any attempted smutty character so far!*
Techieleeder: *L*
Techieleeder: well.. I haven't tried any of it....
kchic797: I'm... I dunno. i'm comfortable with most of my characters but... I can't ever make Matt work for some reason.
Raphael leaned down and kissed the side of her neck a few times, then sucked a little. He wasn't particularly interested in her books, or who this "Matt" might be modeled after. He got a kick out of skimming some of her short stories, but reading wasn't really his thing.
"You know you can't live without me, baby," he breathed against the side of her face. "I know you. You were moaning for Raphael when you had to go without…"
"Mmm... you must not know me very well. My cat is the one who's there for me when you make me go without so why would I be moaning your name?"
He laughed outright, pulling away, and gave her computer chair a spin. She raised an eyebrow in reply. "Can I help you?" she mocked, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Yeah, yeah, the cat," he smirked, a cocky grin plastered on his face. "You wanted the cat to 'fill' you? 'Fuck' you? The cat was making you scream like that?" He gripped the armrests as he leaned over her.
She crossed her arms over her chest. "I never said that," she reminded him. "You did."
He laughed. "You tryin' ta deny it? Tell me you weren't screamin' my name when you came?"
"Yeah, your name maybe…" she agreed hesitantly.
He kissed her temple, touching the tip of his tongue to her skin. His hands ran lightly up her arms and fingered the straps on her shoulders. "Maybe?"
"Maybe. Why? You like that or something?" She smiled, although she knew he couldn't see it while he was happily tracing the side of her face with his tongue. She knew he liked it when she screamed. That wasn't really a question in her mind. She could read him like a book when it came to sex, as she could just about any man. She'd had lots of practice. The only difference was that she used his desires to his benefit.
"Mmm…" The underside of his tongue reached her neck, and he locked his lips around her to suck gently. "Maybe," he teased back.
She laughed, reaching her arms around his neck and hugging him loosely. "You like it when I scream for you?" she breathed against the side of his face, tilting her head down as he worked down to her shoulder slowly, his hands roaming more freely over and under the lingerie-like bra and panties.
"Mmm…"
"That a yes?" she grinned.
"Mmm hmm."
He grabbed the strap in his teeth and slowly dragged it down, his hands massaging their way up her back until they reached the clasp behind her.
Techieleeder: ok. I gotta seiously wonder tho.. is Aaron really all that he thinks he is?
SnowPea12: Aaron: All that and a fuckin' bag a CHIPS.
SnowPea12: lol
Pandora_Online: as in... is he a good lay?
Pandora_Online: cause I think we could probly all agree on that by this point. lol
Techieleeder: as in with everything
kchic797 has left the room
SnowPea12: …
Techieleeder: bye!
Pandora_Online: she didn't even say goodbye…

Splinter was not particularly surprised to see the woman seated at their kitchen table. She didn't look up as he entered the room, and walked to the counter. He poured a cup of tea from the water that was still warm on the stove, and she blinked in surprise as it was set down in front of her. She looked up, and saw him holding a second mug in his own hands.
"Thank you," she whispered, pulling the cup closer to her. She knew who this was, offering her a drink, but she'd not spoken much with him.
He nodded, acknowledging her, as he sat down in the chair across from her. Her head lowered again, and he read the deep lines of sadness in her features. "You look very troubled, child."
She stared down at the dark liquid in the mug. She wasn't crazy about the term "child", but he hadn't really said it in a patronizing way. If anything, he sounded concerned. "I..." she started, but she paused. A deep sigh escaped her as she swirled the tea a bit, still staring at it. "I'm a bit confused," she admitted.
"Why is that?"
She shifted slightly, and glanced up at him. There was something very comforting about his presence. Very serene and quiet. She wondered if he'd been this way the entire time he was raising Raphael and his brothers. Splinter was the kind of person she would have wanted to have as a parent. Not like her own father... She pushed those thoughts aside and lowered her gaze again, her head shaking just slightly. "Raphael just..." Her hands left the mug to come up and cover her face. "I just wish I knew what he was thinking sometimes. He's so hard to read. And I guess that's part of what I love about him but... I just wish he didn't always feel like he had to pretend to be so cold."
Splinter replied with a questioning look, knowing she could not see it through her hands. "You feel he is pretending to be something he's not?" he guessed.
She sighed. "I don't know." Her hands fell and crossed on the table in front of her. "Yes. I guess I do. I mean, nobody can be so cold and hard all the time. And I understand he feels he has an image to keep. I guess I just wish he'd realize I don't care about his image. I want to know him."
Splinter frowned just slightly. This young woman was a heartbreak just waiting to happen, and he knew it. He might know very few details of Raphael's lifestyle, but he did know his son. He sipped his tea slowly as he debated whether or not to continue this conversation. He was in no way trying to pry into Raphael's life, but he was curious about her story. "How did you and he meet?"
She smiled faintly and sighed as memories rushed back to her. "It was kind of... akward..."
She stepped back in horror, but quickly found they'd already surrounded her. "Come on, baby, get on. Let's go for a ride."
That wasn't really a question. Engines revved all around the circle, deafening her with the loud roar. She swallowed hard and stood up straight, some hidden boldness fighting its way to the surface. She wasn't about to go quietly. "My mother taught me not to take rides from strangers," she shot back, eyes narrowing.
"Yeah?" Suddenly a gun was pointed in her direction. "What'd she say 'bout strangers takin' rides on you?"
She felt fear settle in the pit of her stomach as she stood very still, her eyes locked on the gun. "Just be a good girl and you won't get hurt," the man rasped, a wicked smile across his face. "Now get on the fuckin' bike. And yes, it is loaded."
She had no choice. Very slowly, she walked to him and climbed onto the back seat of his motorcycle. He tucked the gun into the front of his pants and revved the motorcycle a few times...
"They took me to this little bar," she explained quietly. "No windows, a gate and padlock that could be pulled across the door. The sign said 'Members Only'. I think that's when I started to really freak out. I knew once they got me in there that I wouldn't be able to scream for help."
Raphael was a few buildings back when he saw them pull into the parking lot. Shit... He growled slightly as he paused there and watched them. Why the fuck had she been stupid enough to get on that bike? If she'd given him another thirty seconds... He watched her try to run, and she was pulled back by her hair.
Anger flared up inside of him. These assholes were asking to get the shit beat out of them. It was about damn time somebody did it. Nobody touched this place. Even the cops kept their distance. He was sick of watching the crime drift in and out of here, and this time, it was a crime against a woman. He wasn't about to sit back and watch this.
He might have taken them out in the parking lot if he thought he could've gotten across the street fast enough. But there were cars, and houses nearby, and while there was quite obviously no one around who was going to do anything about this, they'd certainly stand by and watch if he did. He didn't like the idea of spectators.
They dragged her into the bar. He watched, eyes narrowed. That bar had no windows, a front and back door, and that was it. It'd probably be dimly lit inside, like every other bar tended to be. The four of them, and say another five or six inside - the building wasn't that big - made about ten. He could take ten. He could probably take ten before they knew what hit them.
He climbed down the side of the building he was on, landing crouched on the alley floor. He waited there, and watched the street for a few minutes, letting the cars and people pass until he was sure it was clear. He was across and hidden again in the shadows before anyone could think to turn and see him. At least it wasn't a particularly busy street...
He moved around the building, to the back of it, and inspected the door carefully. He frowned. It was gated and padlocked, and deadbolted beyond that. Okay. So there was only one way in or out. That sucked. He heard her scream from inside the building and growled. He knew he was the only one who had heard it. The sound was far too muffled by the closed walls of the building to be heard next door.
He scanned the area again, and slipped around the front of the building. Nothing like a grand entrance... He breathed deep, prayed his family would never hear of this, and kicked the door as hard as he could. Wood splintered, the door flew back on its hinges, and Raph was hit with the smell of booze and sweat as he jumped inside and let it swing closed again.
Oh... fuck...
Ten was a bit of a low guess. There had to be at least thirty-five of them. Crowded, confined space, thick smoke in the air, surprised looks from the entire crowd. He couldn't even see the girl, but he heard her crying in the eerie silence that followed. It was the only sound, aside from the beating of his own heart and his slow, measured breathing. He wasn't afraid, perse. But he really, really wished he'd taken the four of them out in the parking lot, whether or not he might have been seen.
Very slowly, his hands moved toward his weapons and he pulled them. The quiet hiss of the blade against his leather belt seemed deafening in the silence. The crowd shifted, straightening as they realized they were not only being intruded upon, but threatened as well. A few hands reached for pockets.
Raphael growled.
"He... I don't know how he did it." Ivy laughed tensely as she raised her mug to her lips and sipped the now lukewarm tea. "I mean... most of them were armed, they were all huge. I was so sure I was going to die when suddenly the door flies off its hinges and everything stopped."
She glanced up and met the concerned stare of Raphael's sensei. "I remember thinking it was the police, but then nobody said anything for a really long time. And then I heard him... growl. It wasn't a word or a threat or anything just..." She shivered slightly. "It still gives me the creeps to remember the way that sounded. Almost like... he was an animal. And like he fully intended to kill every one of them."
Splinter nodded slightly, knowing that was likely Raphael's intent. Hearing of encounters like this certainly didn't put him at ease, but it was more for the fact that the entire population of that bar was no longer in existance. Raphael could hold his own against unbeatable odds, but Splinter knew full well the fate of anyone foolish enough to challenge him.
"It all happened so fast," Ivy continued. "One minute I'm pinned back against the table and my life is flashing before my eyes and the next, I'm dodging falling bodies and blood, running out the door of the..." She laughed out loud, shaking her head as she corrected herself. "Running naked out the door of the bar, in nylons and high heels and nothing else..." She was quiet for a moment. "But they never actually... did anything. He got there before then."
"And he followed you?" Splinter assumed. He could pretty much guess how the rest of this story went.
She nodded. "He caught up with me in an alley. Scared the shit outta me at first..."
She screamed at the sound behind her and pressed back against the wall hard. Tears were streaming down her face. Had one of them managed to get away and follow her? Or was this some new horror she had yet to meet? "Please... don't hurt me..."
She remained perfectly still as the shadow took form and breathed out slow as she saw that it was not one of the men. It wasn't even human. And it was holding a leather jacket in one hand. Had this been her rescuer? She shook slightly, thighs and shoulders pressed to the wall as she waited for him to do something, anything.
Raphael's eyes ran up and down her naked body slowly, surveying the damage and taking in the view at the same time. They hadn't had a chance to rape her. A thin trickle of blood ran down the side of her leg where they'd cut her skirt, but the nylons were otherwise in tact. Not that they covered much...
She was hot. The strappy red shoes punctuated that fact. But he kept his desires under control. He could still feel the adrenaline racing in his veins, still smell the blood. It made his pulse race, and the sight of her standing before him naked didn't help his control. But he'd have to wait. She'd just come very close to being a rape victim and he wasn't about to do her up against the alley wall.
"You need some clothes," he informed her.
She jumped at the sound of his voice. She hadn't been sure if he could speak or not. His hand extended, and he held out a leather jacket. "Get rid of it real quick once you get home unless you wanna worry about retaliation."
She stared. He made no move toward her, just held the jacket out in front of him. Very slowly, she approached him and reached for it. He didn't move except to lower his arm as she took it and held it up over her chest. She suddenly felt very vulnerable, and very frightened. It was as if she realized, all at once, what had just come very close to happening.
She moved back until her back was pressed to the alley wall again, still holding the jacket up over her chest. Raphael watched her, still not moving. The silence frightened her, but she didn't know what to say to him. He just likely saved your life, Ivy... You could at least say thank you... But she couldn't make her mouth work.
He glanced around. "Look. Do you live far from here? 'Cause who knows what kind of attention you're going to attract to yourself walking down the street in the middle of the night in only a leather jacket and high heels."
The words forced her to think. Did she live far from here? She looked around. "I... I don't know where we are."
He rattled off street names she vaguely recognized, and she stared at him, almost not hearing. He was a giant turtle. She really wasn't hallucinating. And he was talking to her. "... police."
She snapped out of her trance, catching only the last word of his sentence. "What?" she questioned. "What did you say? I'm sorry, I'm... kinda out of it."
He studied her for a moment before repeating himself. "I said I could take you to the police if you'd rather."
A breeze swept through the alley, and she shivered, pulling the jacket closer. The cool leather against her skin didn't help much. A half smile crossed Raphael's lips, but he hid it just as quickly. "Cold?"
She nodded, her eyes still wide.
He moved toward her very slowly, watching her for a reaction. She tensed, but otherwise didn't move. Her eyes remained locked on his as he stepped up close to her and rested his warm hands on her shoulders, running them slowly down her arms. "Come on," he whispered. "Lemme take you home. You deserve a glass of wine and a nice hot bath."
A smile crept across her face in spite of herself. That sounded wonderful right now... She watched his eyes dance with fire and danger, but his touch remained infinately gentle against her skin. "It's okay," he whispered. "Relax. I'm not gonna hurt you."
His hands moved to hers and she shifted nervously as he took the jacket away and put it over her shoulders. Her breasts brushed against his hard chest as she slipped her arms into the sleeves. He pulled the coat closed between them and stepped back, slipping an arm around behind her. "Come on. Stay close to me. I'll get you home safe."
It didn't occur to her until they were at the door to her apartment that she hadn't told him where she lived. His eyes darted up and down hallhallway quickly as she crouched down and reached under the mat for the spare key. She opened the door as quickly as she could with trembling hands and stepped inside. She wasn't surprised as he followed her and shut the door again. He didn't like the brightly lit corridor, and with reason.
She reached for the light and flicked it on, only to hear it pop and immediately shut off again. Damn it... "It's okay," he mumbled. "I can't stay long. Just wanted to make sure you're alright."
She turned to him, and swallowed hard. "I... Thank you," she stammered. "I don't know what to say to you."
He smiled and stepped closer, reaching up to brush her hair back from her face. She let him, relaxing slowly. She felt safe here with him. Even though a part of her knew and realized that she didn't even know this... man, it was suddenly very evident to her that she trusted him.
It all happened very fast. She wasn't sure who said what or made the first move. Before she knew what was happening, she was falling back onto her bed with his warm, hard body over her. His hands parted her jacket and slipped around her waist as his mouth came over hers, taking her in a sudden, passionate kiss. The cold steel of his weapons against her thighs went unnoticed until the following morning, when she saw the blood staining her sheets...
"We... made love. And he was gone in the morning." Ivy stared down at the tabletop, tracing tiny designs in its surface. It suddenly occured to her, with those words, who she was talking to, and she hoped Raphael wouldn't be mad at her. "I found my wallet in the pocket of the jacket the next morning, so I guess that's how he knew my address. And I don't walk that way anymore. Especially at night."
Splinter smiled slightly. "That is probably wise."
She nodded. "But he was just... so different then than he is now."
"And I assume that wasn't the only time you saw him."
She shook her head. "No. We agreed to meet again. And we built a relationship. I never thought it was as shaky as I'm seeing now that it was."
Splinter nodded. It was not his place to involve himself in aff affair. But his mind was slightly at ease to think that she was not only a random woman he happened to pick up at the bar. He still did not know how she had found her way down here, but that was a story for a different time.
