Chapter 7

Holy mountains

“We're back.” Said Raven as and Gar entered the tower’s dormitory floor. To their surprise Cyborg was only around “where’s Robin,” said Gar then soon answering his own question. “Patrol,” Cyborg just smiled and asked. “How was Africa?” “It was hot and dry.” Said Raven “met Gars parents and spent time at their place.” “Yeah,” said Gar “and I got get some sleep because the jet lag is killing me.” Gar left to his room to sleep leaving Cyborg and Raven alone to talk.

“What were gar’s parents like?” asked Cyborg looking at raven as she thought of an answer “Gar’s parents, I will let Gar explain them to you when he wants to.” Said Raven trying to be vague and confusing on propose hoping he will forget, Cy was going to press on when Robin entered the room and looked at her “you’re back.” Said Robin while looking at Raven with joy and worry, “and your point” said Raven “you knew I was coming back soon.” “yeah anyways where is he?” asked Robin “he’s sleeping,” responded raven as she started to feel tired herself “and speaking of sleep I sure could use some.” And with that she headed to her room, and collapsing on to her bed.

The next day,

It was around 4 am when Gar woke stretching out and for the first time in awhile felt content and at peace with his animal side. He was hot so he decided on taking a shower when a knock on his door changed his mind. Gar opened the door to find Raven standing there. “Can I come in?” said Raven as she made her way in the room. Gar closed the door then wrapped his arms around her holding her feeling her warmth from deep inside her being. “What brings you by,” said Gar as he kissed her neck lightly. “Gar, this isn’t Africa, so we need to cool down things a bit.” Said Raven as she released herself from his grip “so, I guess it’s back to me taking cold showers again,” Said Gar while trying to hold back a growl of rage “they are not awake yet,” said Raven kissing him lightly along the collarbone. “So we could take a shower if you wanted or maybe a bath.” “I don’t think this tower has a tub.” Said Gar as he grabbed his towel “there’s one in my separate bathroom,” said Raven as she opened a portal to her room “hey, um how come I don’t have a bathroom in connected to my room.” Asked Gar as he sat on her bed “gar,” said Raven in a calm voice “you don’t clean your room; just imagine what your bathroom would be like now.”

Gar shrugged it off as he was pulled into room it was black with chrome fixtures. (Nuff said already who would spend detail on a room everyone has seen including hobbits.) Raven turned on the water as she added salts and bath bead or other crap people use when taking a bath. Soon she turned off the water and felt the water unsatisfied with the temperature she muttered something as the water slightly heated up soon Gar watched as Raven’s nightgown dropped to the ground and she slowly descended into the warm water.

“Are you just going to stand there or aren’t you coming in?” Gar laughed as he released the clasp to his belt buckle allowing his pants to fall then removing his boxers he joins raven in the tub. He slid in as the water raised he then cupped his hands and poured the water on his hair and relaxing as the water flowed off his hair and down the back of his neck feeling like a waterfall near his hometown. He then grabbed the soap that was near the tub and lathered it in his hands and the proceeded to rub it on Raven’s back. The lathered suds serving two propose one for cleaning the grime that was on her back the other to massage her back. Slowly started to wash the suds the same way he had done with his hair he then slowly kissed along her neck “your to good to me,” said Raven as she felt his hands reach in front to massage her breast tenderly and lovingly.

After their bath they got dressed and headed to the main room to have a meal before. Gar opened to Ravens room and bumped something hard. “what were you just doing,” said Cyborg in his big brother voice that scared Gar slightly as he rubbed his head “I,” spitted out Gar but that is all he got out due to a metal hand grabbing him and shoving him in the wall “if you did what I think you did, you have 5 seconds to prove me wrong.” said Cyborg “why were you in her room.” “I invited him there because I wanted to talk to him.” Said Raven “at 5 am in the morning.” Said Cyborg as he lightly released his grip “ok, I believe you, lets get something to eat.” Said Cyborg as they made their way down the hall Raven walked ahead of them. When she turned the corner Cyborg returned to the conversation,

“Look, you’re my best friend and my little brother.” said Cyborg in his big brother voice “but if you hurt Raven I will hurt you, if you make her cry I will make you cry. Understand Gar?” Gar stood there dumbfounded and unable to speak so he just nodded maybe something happened awhile back. “Why are you telling me this?” said Gar “I would never hurt her, did someone hurt her.” Cyborg just smiled at him “you really care about her,” said Cyborg seeing the way he cared for her in his eyes. “I was just concerned, for her that’s all.” “Fine,” replied Gar as he decided to ignore the Rage that built up in him.

After an early breakfast the normal routines have set in, Gar and Cyborg went to playing the video games. Until robin came in and proceeded to try to talk to Gar but in his metal state he was more focused on the game then him. The silence went on until Gar eyes saw his character fall with the words ‘YOU LOSE’ on the screen “that sucks.” Muttered Gar as he tossed the controller towards the system, “Gar, can we talk?” asked Robin as he looked towards the green teen, “what about.” Asked Gar looking towards the Television “I am trying to be nice here,” Said Robin “you see I feel that ever sense you woke up from your coma you and me have been at each others throats.” “You think,” said Gar in a sarcastic tone “is that it.” “No,” said Robin slightly angered “I want us to be friends again,” “whatever.” Said Gar not caring what the teen said. “So were cool.” Asked Robin causing Gar to laugh quietly at the fact that Robin rarely said the word “yeah man,” said Gar as he got up from his seat to stretch out a bit when the alarm went off suddenly causing Gar to clutch his head again as the noise became deafening to him.

“Looks, like hive again.” Said Robin as he walked over Gar to get at the computer terminal, “turn it off,” Yelled Gar as he stood up again as the noise slowly disappeared. “Are you alright?” asked Raven trying to remain calm as he helped him up “I’m fine,” responded Gar as he blushed looking at her face “it’s just that I have,” “Gar,” said Cyborg as he Dragged Gar by the wrist. “You can talk to her after we bust hive.”

It took 4 minute for the titans to arrive at the source of the signal to find the three original Hive members. “Don’t you three have something better to do then rob a bank?” Said Robin looking at the three teen with smirk on his face, “don’t you have anything better to do then try and hook up with the living dead girl.” Responded Jinx with a note of sarcasm on his voice “look, the snotball is awake,” said Gismo as he armed his lasers and aimed them toward the titans as the battle lines were drawn although it would be short.

“Titans go!” yelled Robin as he attacked Gismo, while Cyborg took Mammoth. Leaving Gar and Raven facing Jinx, “you know two against one could be bad luck for you.” Said Jinx as she shot an energy ray towards Raven rendering her unconscious, “Raven,” cried Gar running towards the his fallen love he picked her up and noticed the a trail of blood using from her mouth. “I will kill you.” Snarled Gar as he gently laid Raven down, “what,” responded Jinx as the thought of the city protector saying a death threat was unusual “I will kill you for killing her.” Said Gar with a hint of madness on his voice. Just then jinx began to run.

As she ran a thought entered his mind ‘prey.’ Jinx had hurt the woman he love and through his mind that was an unforgivable act. He growled as he chased her into a section of town that was deserted. “Come out.” Snarled Gar as he walked sniffing the air as he was tracking her sent. Suddenly his communicator went off causing him to hurl it at a wall destroying it because they didn’t need to know what was going to happen.

He followed the sent into a building gutted out by fire. Gar stepped in when a chunk of wood headed towards him hitting him. Jinx then got up and ran towards the exit when something grabbed her ankle causing her to fall. “Let me go,” said Jinx as she kicked the green fist aware of what damage her powers would do within close range of the target. All her efforts were useless because the titan wouldn’t let go, “you hurt her.” Said Gar “I didn’t mean to hurt her much, I wanted to.” “What,” snarled Gar as his grip strengthened around the ankle causing it to crack. “Well, speak.” “I wanted you.” Gar released her as the thought entered his mind of an opportunity when a pain between his legs caused him to fall as the pain of deception and the pain of being kicked in the nuts raced through his veins. “That wasn’t nice.” Said Gar as he stood up and punched Jinx causing her to fall.

Gar stood there in madness and confusion above Jinx. He picked up the witch by the throat as something hit him hard, he didn’t see where it came from but knew who it belonged to, it belonged to the one who shared Ravens heart it belonged to.
