Back at the tower, the there was a feeling of relief. Robin felt like he had gotten his revenge, a sweet feeling. “Um, since we kick the HIVE’s butt, shouldn’t we do something to celebrate?” Beast Boy asked. “I think that would be a great idea BB,” Cyborg said. Before Beast Boy could make a suggestion Cyborg stopped him, “And no tofu!” “Ahh come on dude,” the green titan complained. “Can we take this inside,” Robin said heading inside with Starfire and Raven following. Beast Boy and Cyborg continued their debate on how to celebrate for the next ten minutes.

Inside, Raven went to her room, saying that she would be in her room meditating. With Raven in her room and Beast Boy and Cyborg arguing, Starfire asked Robin about what he meant when Jinx and the rest of the HIVE had them trapped. “Robin?” she asked. “Yeah Star, what is it?” “When the HIVE had us close to our deaths, did you really mean that you loved me?” Robin looked at the Tamaranian, “Yeah. Why do you ask?” Starfire looked it his eyes, “I have heard that humans sometimes say things that they don’t mean when they are controlled by their emotions.” “Star, I meant every word. I always knew that I like you and when I thought that I was going to die, the one thing that crossed my mind was how sorry I was that I never said anything about it.” He delicately placed a figure under her chin and began to lean into a kiss. But before their lips met, they were interrupted by Beast Boy and Cyborg coming inside.

“Hey guys you...” the green titan paused, “Uh did we catch you at a bad time.” Starfire blushed and Robin quickly backed away from Starfire. “No we were just...uh never mind, just forget about it.” “You guys want to get some pizza. I promise that me and Cy got the whole pizza thing out of the way,” Beast Boy said respecting Robin’s wish. Robin and Starfire nodded, “Do you think that friend Raven would want to join us?” Starfire asked. “I’ll go ask her,” Robin said.

After Robin left, Beast Boy and Cyborg didn’t know what to do. If it was either one of them or Starfire had gone instead, they would be teasing like crazy. But after the time Beast Boy prank had hit Starfire and upset her, they knew that they should back off. “So Cy, you got any new games or something?” “Sure BB.” The two titans left, leaving Starfire waiting. Robin came back about three minutes later. “She said she’s coming.” “Dude,” Beast Boy said getting up and walking back, “Why did she go to her room in the first place?” “To get away from you,” Raven answered appearing behind the green titan. “Yikes,” Beast Boy exclaimed. “We going now,” Cyborg said. Robin nodded, “let's go.”

At the parlor, Beast Boy followed through on his promise. He and Cyborg ordered two pizzas, one for each of them. Raven did her usual take a slice and sit in silence while the others ate. When the meal was finished, the titans started heading back to the tower. “Star,” Robin said holding Starfire back for a little privacy, “you want to see a movie or something?” Starfire smiled, “is this what you call a date?” Robin grinned, “Yeah, you want to?” Starfire nodded in acceptance as they caught up with the others.

“We’ll go out a little later,” Robin told Starfire outside the tower, “I want to make sure this will be perfect.” While he walked away to his room, Raven went back to her room to meditate and the BB and Cyborg went back to their video games. Starfire went to her room to relax and think. She sat on her bed, thinking about how nice Robin was as she picked up a book that she had brought from home. Lost in her book, hours seemed to pass like minutes until she heard at knock on her door. “Hey Star, you ready?” Starfire got up and opened the door. Standing in her doorway, the boy wonder stood looking like he was feeling like a million bucks. “Indeed,” Starfire said, “were are we going?” “You remember when Kitten forced me to her prom, and we ended up dancing in the end?” Starfire nodded, the memory a bitter sweet. “Well, I was wondering if you want to do it again?” “You mean go to this prom?” Robin shook his head, “No, would you like to go to a dance. It was kinda nice.” “Yes Robin,” Starfire said. “let's go,” Robin said grabbing her hand. The two were off.

Robin took her to one of the nicest places he could find. The music, mingled with emotions, made the night the best either could hope for. When the second song ended, Robin and Starfire sat at a nearby table. “Robin,” Starfire said, “this is such a wonderful night. Why did you want to dance? You lead me to believe that you didn’t like to.” Robin grinned, “Dancing with you holds a special place in my heart.” Starfire blushed. “You ok? Did I say something?” Robin wanted to know. “That just makes me feel so special,” Starfire said. “You are special. Nobody makes me feel so at peace like you do.” Another slow, romantic song came on, “Come on, one more dance before we go,” the boy wonder said holding out his hand. Starfire smiled as he helped her to her feet. “I never want to let you go Star,” Robin whispered to her ear as they danced. “Nor do I,” Starfire said back, “This evening has truly been perfect.”

When the song ended, Robin and Starfire headed back to the tower. “Wait,” Robin said as they left the dance floor, “You...uh want to get some ice-cream?” “This ice of the cream, what is it?” Starfire asked. “It’s a cold dessert and its really good. You want to get some?” “Sure.” Getting back to the tower after such a wonderful night, both titans didn’t want to let the other go. “Robin,” Starfire said outside Robin’s room, “I thank you for such a wondrous evening.” Robin shuffled his feet, “Uh...Star? Can I kiss you goodnight?” Starfire smiled and answered with a kiss, surprising the titan leader. Robin kissed back, their lips locked in passion.

Backing up, the two entered Robin’s room and closed the door. Robin hugged Starfire close, his hands caressing her back. Starfire in turn lovingly held onto Robin. Breaking the kiss, Starfire and Robin felt so carried away that the world could fall around them and they wouldn’t have noticed. Robin moved again this time began to kiss her neck, causing the Tamaranian girl to giggle.

Outside her room, Beast Boy was up to get a late night snack when he heard the laughing. Being the curious type that he was, he knocked on Robin’s door. “Dude, is something going on in there?” Interrupted, Robin stopped hat he was doing. “What do you mean,” he asked through the door. “I thought I heard some laughing, and it wasn’t you.” “You’re just hearing things,” Robin said, hoping to make Beast Boy go away. “I guess so,” Beast Boy said, his voice trailing off as he left.

Robin looked back at Starfire, his eyes gazing at her beauty. “That really ruined the mood,” Robin said, upset that they had been interrupted. “Should I leave,” Starfire said, a hint of sorrow in her voice. “I don’t want you to but...” Before Robin finished Starfire cut him off with a loving kiss, rekindling the passion. “Oh Starfire,” Robin thought, “Oh how I wanted this so much.” His hands rubbing her back and moving up to her shoulders, pulling her closer. Slowly, she did get up and got dressed. “I’ll see you downstairs,” Robin said as he opened the door.

When Starfire made it down, a simple yet delicious meal awaited her. “This appears to be a glorious morning meal,” she said as she looked at what Robin prepared. “It really not that fancy Star; I’m not a cook but uh I hope you like it.” “This um what is this yellow-white thing,” Starfire said pointing at her plate. “Scrambled eggs.” “Yes. These scrambled eggs are delicious as is this juice of the oranges.” Robin smiled, “Glad you like it.”

About ten minutes later, Beast Boy came down. “You guys up already? I thought I was the early bird.” He made his way over to the counter and stopped. “Something wrong Beast Boy?” Robin asked. The green titan turned. “Last night, are you sure that you didn’t hear anything? I swear I did, like a scream?” “I’m sure. I would have heard it. I think that you were just dreaming.” “Yeah, I guess so,” Beast Boy muttered. Robin smiled at Starfire, “They don’t have to know.” “They need not know,” Starfire said, “they need not know indeed.”
