Robin started laughing, his shoulders shaking with his boisterous laugh.

“He must have injected you with the nanoites…steal my suit, pose as a thief…”

“Actually…”

Robin’s laughing stopped instantly, his eyes wide as he stared at him.

“I did it all, no nanoties…no mind control…”

Robin growled, his fists clenching, “And what are you going to do, now…Speedy?”

Speedy shrugged and leaned against the bone that was holding Aqualad.

“Leave it to the Titans?”

Robin turned around in a circle as the Titans were freed from their binds. Aqualad eyed Speedy before turning to Raven, who was still cradling herself. Robin backed away slowly, grinning madly.

“You think they’re going to stop me, Speedy? I took them all out once, I can do it again.”

“Oh, I have no doubts in your…current condition.”

He pulled out a small trigger, “Bon voyage, Robin.”

Speedy pressed the button, jumping as fast as he could over Raven and covering her with his body. The building’s pillars explodes and the Titans blasted away the falling rubble, Robin made a run for it but was blocked by a column of water. He turned and saw Aqualad standing behind him.

“Fool! We’re all going to die.” Robin hissed, moving to touch the water but it became boiling hot.

Robin looked up as a giant piece of concrete fell over him. All the other Titans huddled together, trying their best to block the rubble.

“You’re an IDIOT!” Aqualad yelled at Speedy who held Raven’s body in his arms.

“HEY! I had no choice!”

They looked up and saw the entire top collapse, prepared for a swift death, Speedy picked Raven’s head up and pressed his mouth against hers. One last kiss….

“OW! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?” Speedy shouted as he was flung backwards by Cyborg.

“THAT was for trying to kill us!” Cyborg said, revealing his cannon, “And this is for stealing the suit and pretending to be an enemy!”

He was about to fire his cannon at Speedy before a small hand touched his cannon, lowering it.

“No point in beating each other up.” Raven said lightly, looking at the puffiness of Speedy’s eye.

“Where’s Robin?” She asked, changing the subject.

“We got him in the holding cell…if it wasn’t for you…we’d all be…”

“I know.”

Raven turned and walked out of the room, leaving Cyborg to his yelling at Speedy. Aqualad found Raven and walked besides her, his eyes constantly looking down.

“What?” She asked harshly.

“How did you…I mean…you were….” He stumbled over his words.

“It was temporary, I guess…Came back at the right moment.” Raven replied, walking into the holding cell.

Bee and Starfire were trying to keep Robin from trashing around while they put wires to him.

“Let me go!” He shouted, trying to bite at Starfire.

“Please, Robin!” Starfire called, her eyes teary.

Raven never saw her so worried for some one, it made her feel a little pity for her. She walked up to Starfire and touched her shoulder, giving her a small smile. Robin stopped his movement and stared at Raven.

“Raven….” He whispered, looking straight ahead, allowing them to clamp him in tight. “I can’t….I can’t…”

Tears ran down his cheeks before he started laughing, and then shaking, and then yelling. The straps held him in, he was weaponless, but he was still dangerous.

Cyborg walked in, with a very quiet Speedy. He looked at the monitors and then down at Robin.

“The nanoites…” Cyborg whispered, rubbing his chin.

“What about them?” Raven asked, looking down at Robin.

“They’re gone…”

“What?”

“There are no traces of them…look…out of four tests…none…it’s all…mental.”

“Are you saying Robin went insane?” Beast Boy asked, cradling an arm in a sling.

“I don’t know….there’s some sort of brain activity that’s way abnormal…but I can’t tell what it is…”

“Clearly he’s fighting it…” Raven whispered, watching Robin settle down with a sedative given by Bee.

His arms and legs twitched, as did his head. Robin’s lids fluttered along, as if he were in a dream. Raven touched his forehead, feeling it to be quite cold.

“I’m going to go in.” Raven said softly, looking at Robin.

“No, it’s too dangerous. I don’t want…” Speedy finally said, grabbing her hand. “I don’t want you to get hurt.”

Raven looked at the hand and smiled at him for a second before pulling hers away. “I have to, I’m the only one who can. I’ve been inside his mind before…I know how it works…whatever is controlling him…”

“Raven, it’s dangerous.” Cyborg said quietly. “Be careful.”

“What! You’re letting her do this?” Speedy shouted, Cyborg glared at him, making him silent.

“I mean it Raven. We want both of you back.”

“I know.”

Raven removed her cloak, handing it to Aqualad before she took a seat next to Robin. She held his hand in hers and closed her eyes. She nearly forgotten how to use her powers, they had just returned….

(Flash Back)

Speedy’s mouth clamped down onto Raven’s, her eyes shot open, glowing white. Everything stopped, time itself stopped. It reminded her of Trigon, making her tear. The Titans looked around, Beast Boy pushing a floating rock away.

“Whoa…”

They all looked at Raven as Speedy set her down. He handed her Red X’s cloak to cover her nude self up.

“Raven, what did you….” Cyborg asked, looking around.

“Stopped time.” Raven said quietly, looking around for Robin.

He was trapped under a slab of concrete, clawing to get out. She walked over to him and moved the concrete, helping his stiff and time frozen body out from the wreckage.

“We need to get him back.” She said a little out of breath.

The Titans still stared at her. She stood up straight and looked at them.

“What?”

“Nothing.” They all said at once, moving through the frozen time space, moving rubble aside.

Beast Boy was bouncing off of each giant slab until Speedy moved one, smacking it into his arm on accident. He cradled it and fell to the ground, groaning.

“OW! DUDE!” Beast Boy said glaring at Speedy.

“Sorry.”

He went and helped BB get up, straightening himself out. Aqualad and Starfire moved Robin outside, Cyborg and the rest descended on Speedy.

“We’ll talk back at the tower.” Cyborg growled, gritting his teeth.

Speedy gulped and looked at Raven.

“You kissed me.” She said softly.

“Hey, we were about to die.”

Raven rushed into his arms, hugging him, “Thank you…”

Speedy blushed and patted her on the back, “All in a day’s work.”

Raven pulled from him and walked out with Beast Boy complaining about his arm.

(End Flash Back)

“The serum was temporary…” Speedy said before Raven continued with what she was going to do.

They all looked at him, his face turning red. “That’s what Slade told me…it was intended for Starfire, works with biology I guess….”

“Why I oughtta….”Cyborg raised an arm.

“Quiet!” Raven snapped, stopping him halfway to Speedy, who looked relieved.

Raven returned to Robin and looked at him, he was starting to sweat but was still ice cold.

“I’m coming for you, Robin.” She whispered, closing her eyes.

“Azarath Metrion…Zinthos….” She repeated over and over for what seemed ages, her eyes closed the sounds of their beating hearts echoing through out her mind.

She heard music, happy circus music. Opening her eyes she looked around…She was in Robin’s mind.
