When they entered the lobby there was no except a guard for the people’s safety “where are we supposed to be at?” asked Raven believing to be lost. “I don’t know I’ll ask.” Said Gar as he walked up to the guard before Raven had a chance to stop him. She watches as Gar muttered a strange language to the guard and watched as the guard surprisingly replied. It sort of shocked her in a way that Gar would know such a language impressed her and made her worry of what else he maybe keeping from him. “they are waiting outside,” said Gar as he picked up their bags and head to the main door,”

Gar stepped out into the African street looking for someone or something he knew. That’s when he saw it a rusted 78 jeep and by the shape it was in it was in its last run, “Kijanadume.” Said the man from the vehicle as he got out embracing Gar like he were family, “ndugu wa kunyonya,” Said Gar from returning the hug then looking at Raven “Raven, this is Steve.” Steve Grabbed her hand and kissed her hand as a gesture, “kunguru wa Manyanga.” Said Steve causing Gar to stifle a laugh,

“So you still have this old thing,” said tapping the hood “yes, still have this.” Said Steve in his best broken English, “so, how’s life in Marekani?” “Doing well I guess.” Said Gar as he loaded the bags in the back of the jeep, “how’s Tawaba?” “Still old,” said Steve as he watched Gar hop in the front seat only to push him out on to his ass. Gar looked at him with a look of anger “Manyanga, would you like the front seat.” Steve looked at her “ok,” said Raven as she sat in the jeep as Gar hopped in the Back of the jeep, as the vehicle started up.

“does you get any good stations out here” asked Gar as reached for the radio when a bump caused him to fall back in his seat, Steve laughed at him as he turned on the radio as a beck song started playing, “how much farther is it?” asked Raven “not that far,” said Steve “we just go on boat to village.” Gar froze how could he forget about the boats. The thought of the boat shut the changeling up until they hit the dock.

They arrived at the docks as Steve parked the jeep, Gar then froze at the docks Steve knew why as did most of the village. “Manyanga,” said Steve as he took the bags and loaded them on the boat “Gar will come later.” “Be nice to kunguru.” Said Gar as he watched the look on her face as the boat sped off.

It took two hours as the boat as they arrived into the village, she expecting that they would have little or no readiness of there arrival she was shocked to find a feast waiting for them a large long stone table covered in several meats and veggies. “Is this all for us?” asked Raven “it’s for hayawani Kivulana.” Said a boy warring a hat that with the titans T on it, “hayawani got me this for my Birthday, you like it kunguru?” “It’s ok,” said Raven trying to avoid hurt feelings, “what does kunguru mean?” “Means raven,” said a teen in a kaki suit “where are my manners, my name is Matt, how do you know binamu?” “What does that mean?” said Raven trying to remember the simple words and phrases.

“It means cousin,” said Matt as he looked at her “I can see why he likes you, anyways he should be coming around now.” And at that point a green bird landed at the docks and slowly turn into a human. Soon a crowd surrounded him as acted if he were a king or some one of royal blood. “sometimes I think you change just for the attention.” Said Matt mostly to get the green mans attention “Matt if you’re here who’s flipping the burgers at Big Kahuna’s.” Said Gar in a sarcastic tone, the two teens looked at each other “it’s good to see you, what brings you here?” “I have to get the rest of the stuff,” said Matt unemotionally as he could, “what took you,” asked Raven half worry the other anger of leaving her in a place she doesn’t know, “I was visiting my folks,” said Gar looking at the ground “I haven’t seen them in awhile.”

They stood their in silence when a deep voice got their attention, “Gar,” said the man with graying hair standing 6,8 and grinning from ear to ear, “Tawaba,” said Gar “hayawani you look well,” muttered the old man turning his attention to the Girl, “who is this?” Gar looks at him then to her unknown where his options “this is kunguru.” Said Gar to the old man as he smiled at the girl “kunguru,” muttered Tawaba “shaitani, but a good shaitani, what does Gar say about this place kunguru,” “he doesn’t mention this place.” Said Raven as looked at Gar as the man looked at him “Gar needs to be more open with his past” said Tawaba “I always have sensed great anger within him,” Raven believing that he was referring to the beast, “Tawaba,” said Raven with concern “how did Gar act like he was a kid.” Gar looked at him as he were going to tell him her a terrible secret “sad,” muttered Tawaba as he looked at the Green teen “are we going to eat now or what,” then the three went to the celebration,

A few hours the two titans were directed to the chief’s house and to a room that consisted of a bed surrounded by candles and mosquito netting. “I hope this is good for you Manyanga,” said Steve as he closed the doors, behind him “so, how do you like the place where I grew up.” Asked Gar as he removed his boots, “fine I guess.” Said Raven doing the same thing “it’s a nice village,” “well I help out as much as I can, I buy things to fix things.” Said Gar as he lay on the bed, “how much do you give them?” asked Raven in a way that so it doesn’t seem offensive. “Enough,” said Gar as he looked at Raven slide next to him. “Is something wrong?” “Gar, what would happen if you had a legacy to hold you values.” Said Raven to a confused look from Garfield. “I guess it would be nice,” said Gar as he looked up to the ceiling “who knows I might be there for the kid,” saying the last part barely above a whisper. “What would happen if it were sooner then you expected,” said Raven hoping for a answers that she would like “I wouldn’t care,” said Gar in a shaky voice. “I know that I have no control of these things.” And with that he drifted to sleep

The next day Gar woke up and Realized that Raven was gone but where. He decides on looking for her and searched the village soon she found him in the last place she expected. She stood there in a black tee shirt and jeans looking down at something. “what are you doing here?” Snapped Gar as he approached the most holy place in his life, “Steve brought me,” said Raven looking down at something “why did you tell us,” “it’s was long ago,” said Gar placing a hand on the smooth stone that raven was looking at “besides I would get bullshit from the other like it wasn’t your fault.” “what happened?” asked Raven “I killed them.” Snapped Gar as tears filled his eyes, “my parents were more preoccupied with me and they hit the fucking sandbank.” Raven held him to help him with the pain he was dealing with she knew how he felt and felt sorry for him. Raven Brought his head to eye level and kissed him, she felt that it was something she need to deal with, “please don’t tell them I will when I can.” Said Gar wiping the tears from his eyes.

They spent time at which Gar decided on showing her other parts of the village, more secluded parts. The walk into a cave around 1 mile from the town covered in thick jungle vines. “why did you Bring me here. “said Raven as the made there way thru the cave tunnels. Finally coming out to a bright sun drenched road to a house that seems to be covered in dry wood, “they said they kept it in good condition,” said gar walking up to the door and pulling out a key from the doormat and he opens the door to, a room covered with white cloths and a fire place, Gar walked over to a old stereo and pushed play the cassette played a song that he remembered from his youth the music flowed out of the dusty speakers and into the room(out of curiosity the song that is playing is heaven beside you from Alice in chains.) and tears were falling out of his eyes. “it’s the dust.” Gar as he wiped them away.

Gar then moved one of the white cloths so they could sit on the couch soon the song stop and a click was heard meaning the tape was over but Gar had no intention of changing it. Gar moved closer to Raven, and kissed her while trying to take the Goths shirt off soon the Changeling worked on her bra and soon that joined a spot on the floor with the shirt. Then beast boy lowered his head to the breast as started to assault them when Raven stopped him.
