Chapter 4 - The Village and Temple
==============================

As the brothers walk down the fog covered path, Raph was looking over the letter they walked Leonardo had the lamp..

'you reading the letter Raph?"
Raph nods then says, "Leo, Jiro caught the disease..."
Leo took this as a minor surprise and says trying to rationalize it,
"He must have gave it to his brothers when he went back into the temple and he must have got it from the village."

Raph shrugs some as Don says "possible, but that just seems careless"
"yes unless he didn't men to or was forced too"
Donny says, "What does the letter say?"

Raph looks at it, "it just says that the villagers that were ill are in the temple being treated, but that he had locked himself away inside their sensi room. he says that’s the only room that would give him protection"

"...but why? I mean even with his brothers treating the others they were still doomed to get ill as well..."
Mike suggested, "..maybe it didn't catch them for some reason"
Donny says "but what killed Harukos brothers?"

Leo shakes his head, "I don't know, what does haruko's dairy say about the illness and the silk worms Raph?"

Raph looks and says, "woah, well he says that he noticed that the worms grew to an abnormal size, and that the illness seems to make you change"

"Change?"

Raph went on "well it says here that it makes you seem to decay from the inside out"

"what else?" Asked Leo as they walked on

Raph quoted from the book " at night there was a soft singing that filled the air, some of the creatures and lost souls in the temple seem to grow more restless, craving the flesh of the living and drinking the blood, their bodies are not their own..."

"the music?" said leo as he then says " Yes I know this I heard the music when I met haruko in my last dream."

Donny says, "weird"
Mike says, "woah dudes up ahead! look!"

Up ahead was a fork in the road, but on a tree stabbed was a knife, a knife that had a blue scarf on the end, Leo looked at the scarf wondering what it meant slowly he walked over to it and removed the knife and scarf from the tree. As Leo looks at the scarf a small wind picked up and blew the scarf to the left side, raph blinks, "uhhh..Did Haruko...?"

"yeah" said Leo "...He did."

Raphael was unsure but he walked ahead as the others followed, and soon the blue scarf landed, and there standing before them, decayed and something out of a Japanese film movie lies the village that was in Leos dreams, but this once lively village was no more.

Leo looked around while he said "this is the village...from my dreams."

Raph nods as he says, "man this is creepy"
Mike nods "no kidding I would not be shocked if something.."
Donny spoke up "DON'T say it Mike, you'll jinx us"

Leo walked threw the village it was so eerie how quite the village was the building looked like they were burned down but not fully burned to the ground. stools and tables were thrown into the streets along with many other possessions. Raph stayed close to leo as he walked ahead of him abet, just then Mike stopped, Donny looks at his brother whispering,
"what’s wrong?"
"I hear something..."

Leo and Raph stopped listening for any sounds.
Raph whispers "someone...eating??"
Leo shakes his head "that’s impossible this village is empty." but sure enough the sound was as Donny walks to the edge of a hut and looks his eyes wide in horror..

There hunched over with a round belly was someone human..but was tearing at the flesh of something, As got a look he saw it was a human eating a human.

Leo eyes widen "Donny get back its one of them!" he shouts
Donny looks at Leo as the creature looks up suddenly and lets out a low chatter as Rah says grabbing Donny "move!!" the turtles take running as they all soon spots the temple.
They ran into the temple closing the doors behind them. They were all out of breath panting hard.

"Holy shell!" panted Mike "W-What was that!"

Leo says between his panting "that was the things I saw in my dream they feed off the flesh and blood of others." he pants more

Rah panted "well...we are out of the..." suddenly rapes eyes widen then,
"what’s wr.." suddenly rapes launched his hand covering Leos mouth as Mike and Donny blinks, Raph made a small "shh" sound and pointed to where they saw another one of those things that they ran from.

Leo looked and let out a soft gasp before them was another feeding on another person. took out the blade from his belt as Raph silently took out his Sai and then nodded.

Leo leaned into his brothers whispering "...were probably surrounded ."
Donny nods, "maybe, but I ain't going to let myself get bitten, look were being quiet and its not responding, lets try staying quiet"

Leo nodded he pointed to his eyes then to the hall not far from them. he was letting them know they can probably sneak out and be noticed. Mike and Donny nod as Raph says whispering, "take mike and don with you, I'll cover your shells"

Leo whispers "come on Raph we can get out of here with out being noticed."
Raph nods "yeah I know, but someone has to cover our shells now lead the way" Leo nodded and led them down the hall Mike and Donny fallowed. Raph looking around stayed quiet as he quickly followed his brothers until they made it to the main temple where they saw a large shrine.

Donny looks around "hmmm this must be a main room of the temple"
Leo nods "yes and the door is beyond there." he points to some large doors

" well...I guess we should make a plan" said Raph eyeing Leo
"right." Leo nods
Mike says, "I vote for getting the shell out of here alive."
Rah eyes Mike "oh? and would you like to go alone back out there with our eating flash buddies"

Mike looks down saying sheepishly "no."
Leo sighs "alright that’s enough we have to try to find a way out without being seen by those things."

Donny says "We may have too..."

Suddenly all 4 turtles froze and eerie soft singing heard. Leo gulps some not wanting to show his worry "oh god!" he says

"W-W-Wha..!" freaks Mike as Donny spins his Bo, Rah mutters
"I don't like this"

Leo says "we got to move now!"
Rah eyes the door and says "Donny give me a hand, lets move it!"

Suddenly from a corner of the wall spiders were seen, Raph seem to pale some as he ran to the door and donnie following as they went to get the door open, Mike with them as leo drew his swords walking backwards to the door, protecting his brothers.

The doors opened as Raph says, "move it leo!" and Donny running out of the room with Mike.
Leo fallowed them quickly but still was watching their back making sure what ever it was they just saw did not fallow them. They soon saw that they were in what appears to be like an outside hallway, a small garden seen with wooden pathways surrounding the garden.

Raph shivered " I hate bugs "
Mike blinks, "woah is this all silk?"

Leo looked at the place they were in all around them was silk webbing.
"yeah and were trapped like rats in here."

Raph sighs, "then we got no choice, we need to split up"
Leo felt a small rush of panic "No we need to stick together.....look."Leo noticed as he points to another door beyond the silk webs "all we have to do is slice threw this ."

Raph nods, spinning his sais as he says, "lets get to it then"
Mike and Donny nodded as Leo says,
"yeah"

The brothers working through slicing some of the webbing.
