Chapter 5: Bomb Hunt Part 2
Disclaimer - I don’t own Teen Titans, or else Raven would be mine.

“Are you positive, Cyborg?” Robin questioned on the Titan’s radio.
“Yeah, I know that insignia anywhere.”
“It was just a matter of time before he was back to his old ways. We must inform Raven and Beast Boy immediately. This is now a highly dangerous situation.” Robin said.
---------------------OoO--------------------
Raven and Beast boy were working on the last clue.
“Do you have any idea where this bomb might be, Raven?”
“Well, on this sheet of paper it says it will come to us, so I guess we have no choice but to sit still and wait until it comes to us.” Raven implied.
“But don’t you think that is a bit too easy? Also, how would the bomb get to us?” Beast Boy questioned.
“I am not the one who wrote these clues or planted the bombs. On this paper, it clearly states it will come to us. So the best action to take is to just sit here, and wait” Raven started getting frustrated explaining it to Beast Boy.
“Well, I guess it makes sense. No point in looking for what will come to us, huh?”
Raven let out a sigh and took a seat on the bench outside a pizza place. It was a chilly October night in Jump city. The streets were deserted; every so often a car would ride past them.
Beast Boy sat on the bench besides Raven, still examining the sheet of paper trying to figure out some kind of hidden message or meaning to the clue.
Then Raven broke the thirty minute silence.
“I would have brought a book if we were going to be sitting around all night.” Raven said.
Beast Boy just looked at Raven through the corner of his eye. He thought he was doing it secretly, but it’s not so easy to hide things from Raven.
“Is there a problem, GARFIELD?” Raven laughed.
“You know I hate that name!” Beast Boy shouted.
Then they both started to laugh, which was a very rare site to see Raven laughing.
After about a minute the laughing subsided.
“So that’s how I can get a laugh out of you, Raven! You better watch out because now I know your weakness.” Beast boy chuckled.
Raven turned the other direction, trying her best to hold in more laughs from escaping her mouth. Raven was blushing under her dark purple hood.
Beast Boy always had a crush on Raven, especially after seeing all the different sides of her personality when Beast Boy and Cyborg got warped into Ravens magic mirror that acted as a gateway to Azarath. Beast Boy wished Raven would show him her other sides more openly.
Beast Boy knew this was a good, if not perfect opportunity to tell Raven his feelings. He just had no idea how Raven felt about him, or if it would even ruin their friendship. But Beast Boy did feel his and Raven’s relationship got a lot better after the defeat of Raven’s evil father, Trigon. It was a now or never situation for Beast Boy. Who knew when he would get another chance alone with Raven.
Raven was sitting a few inches next to Beast Boy trying to keep warm by putting her hands under her cloak.
“Hey, Raven, can I tell you something if you promise not to laugh?” Beast Boy said nervously.
“You know there is nothing you can say to make me laugh” Raven said coldly.
“Well, ok then. Uhhhhh...” Beast boy mumbled.”
“What is it, Beast Boy?” Raven started getting impatient.
“I can’t think of any fancy way to say this, so I will just say it. I love you Raven! I always loved you!” Beast Boy’s face turned from green to red.
Raven was shocked. She could tell from the tone of Beast Boy’s voice that even he was not joking right now. She was utterly speechless at the moment. Raven always had a serious thing for Beast Boy, but she could never work up the courage to say it. Finally, she managed to speak.
“Do you really mean that, Beast Boy?” Raven said, looking at her feet.
“I mean it more than anything I ever said before. I loved you since I first saw you. I would eat a 5 pound hamburger for you. I love everything about you. The way you act, the way you smell, the way you dress. I could keep naming things I love about you all night.” Beast Boy said with all the seriousness in his voice.
“I did not think this day would ever come, Beast Boy. I love you too. You are one of the few who understand me. Sure we had our fights, but they just made my desire for you even stronger.”
Beast Boy moved in closer to Raven’s face.
“Can I kiss you, Raven?”
“Yes, Beast Boy. You can kiss me forever.”
Beast Boy’s and Raven’s lips made contact. At that moment, Raven’s dark, purple cloak turned to a beautiful white.
The kiss finally parted and they both looked at each other with loving eyes. Raven’s face was not expressionless, her face showed happiness.
While the two were locked in each other’s gaze, the Titans communicator beeped.
Beast boy took the device off his belt and answered.
“Beast Boy here.”“Beast Boy, we found out who planted the bombs. It appears that Slade is behind this whole thing.” Robin said.
“No way, Slade?”
“Yes, Slade. We do not know his position though. Cyborg found Slade’s insignia inside one of the explosives. So, how are you two doing with your clue?”
“Well, we are... Uhh” Beast Boy was stalling.
---------------------OoO--------------------
Suddenly, Cyborg detected a powerful force approaching Jump City. Cyborg looked up and saw a giant missile heading right for the middle of the city.
“Starfire! There’s a missile heading right towards the city!” Cyborg yelled.
Starfire looked up at the sky. She saw it coming downwards at an alarming rate. Starfire left Cyborg on the ground and flew as fast as she could, attempting to stop the missile. Starfire reached the head of the missile. She grabbed a hold of it with all her Tamaranian might but to no avail. The missile would not budge.
Cyborg noticed that Starfire could not do this alone. “We were going to need help from everyone.” Cyborg then proceeded to call the rest of the Titans through the communicators.
“There is a missile heading towards the center of the city! We need your help, Starfire cannot stop it alone. Be sure to bring Blackfire!”
All of the Titans got this message and flew to Cyborg’s position quickly. Blackfire carried Robin. Beast Boy turned into a raven, and Raven flew close behind her new lover.
Soon all the Titans were joined together again standing in the middle of an empty street of Jump City.
“According to my calculations, the Missile will make contact with the surface in seven minutes.” Cyborg notified the others.
“We haven’t got much time to stop this thing then. TITANS GO!” Robin said annoyingly.
Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, and Blackfire flew toward the missile.
Blackfire skillfully landed Robin on the speeding Missile. Robin was attempting to open the case so Cyborg could hack it. Robin kept trying to pry it open with his pole, but eventually his pole snapped and a piece went flying backwards, hitting Cyborg in the head.
While they were trying to open the case, Beast Boy tried turning into a small insect to gain entrance to the inside of the missile. Once inside, he would morph into a rat and chew the wires apart. It worked before, right? But this Missile was air tight, there was no way inside.
“Forget that plan.” Beast Boy said.
“Your right, let’s get back on the ground to form another strategy.”
The Titans were back on the ground with only 4 minutes to go until it made contact.
“Ok, we only got one more chance to pull this off. Here is the strategy. Raven; try to slow down the missile with your dark magic, it should buy us a few more minutes. Starfire, Work with Blackfire to rotate the missile in the other direction. The rest of us will stay on the ground incase this plan fails. TITANS GO!”
“Three times in one night...” Beast Boy said under his breath.
Raven attempted to slow down the missile with dark magic. She managed to wrap her magic around it with intense concentration, slowing it down a little.
Starfire and Blackfire went to one side of the missile. They then attempted to turn it around with all their might. What a single Tamaranean can’t do, two surly can. They worked together and turned the missile around, pointing it in the other direction.
Raven then removed her barrier from around it. The missile zoomed upwards towards the sky. Cyborg then shot his supersonic cannon at the missile once it was a safe distance away from the city. It eventually caught up with the missile, blowing it into pieces.
There was a loud, thunderous boom. All of the Titans were on the ground, looking up at the explosion. But then, something strange happened.
The explosion was no normal explosion. It let off fireworks. The fireworks clearly spelled a message.
The letters made out “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBIN”.
Everyone in Jump City was awake from the explosion and looking out of their windows and standing outside their houses.
The Titans were confused beyond belief at this event. Suddenly, a note dropped magically from the sky.
---------------------OoO--------------------
“I hope you enjoyed my little present, Robin. I know how you like to forget your own birthdays. That’s why; I made this one a blast!
PS. Maybe you could get me some of that illegal cable? We are friends right?
-Slade.
---------------------OoO--------------------
The Titans just stood there, with wide open eyes. Robin could just about faint from this turn of events.
“So we got up at 2:00AM, went around the city hunting for bombs, trying to save the city from a giant missile that would destroy us all because it’s Robins birthday?! Raven said, about to rip someone’s head off.
“Cheer up Raven, it wasn’t all bad,” secretly winked Beast Boy.
“Oh, I am overjoyed that it is your day of birth, Robin! How come you never informed us?” Starfire asked like she was unaffected by the events.
Blackfire and Cyborg sighed.
“Let’s go home...” Robin barley managed to say.
So the Titans decided to walk home this very magical night. They could really use the time to think about the past events, and the events that await them.
