The dreadful hour had arrived. At eight o’clock sharp, Beast Boy stood outside a small crumbling café. He wore a tweed brown suit with a red bowtie and uncomfortably scratching an itch. People who passed on the street either laughed at him or stared until they were told to leave by someone else. Raven had been hiding in the corner of the shop with a book that covered her face. She knew she had to find where Killer Moth hid the dangerous gases but she couldn’t possibly leave Beast Boy in the hands of a materialistic tart.
A large pink limo rolled up to the curb, causing Beast Boy to gulp loudly. The door opened by the driver and out stepped pretty in pink, princess Kitten. She wore her usual bubblegum pink dress and had her hair combed back. Kitten batted her eyelashes at Beast Boy and sized him up. She even went so far as to pull out a measuring tape and measure his arms, side, stomach, feet and even his buttocks.
“Tisk Tisk, Beastie Boo.” Kitten wagged a finger in his face, “You look totally boring. Imma fix that right now!”
She grabbed Beast Boy by the shoulders and dragged him into the limo. Raven peered over her book and looked over. Her fingers gripped onto the edges of the book, snapping the hard cover into pieces. Kitten pulled out several bags of new clothing she just HAD to get her little Beastie Boo before their date took place. Beast Boy was plastered up against the window, his foot sticking out to block her from nearing him.
“Oh, don’t be shy. Come to your…Kitten.” Kitten growled playfully, swiping the air with her nails as she moved to Beast Boy and pried him from the wall.
She held onto him like a little girl would a pet, by the stomach, and plopped him onto the chair. She pulled out several oddly colored and furry costumes for him to wear. Beast Boy shook his head and placed a hand onto her face, “Whoa, no way dude. I am NOT dressing up like a sheep.”
Kitten fell back on her heels and pouted, “DADDY!!!!”
Beast Boy nearly had a heart attack as a large screen descended from the side of the limo and turned on. Killer Moth was on the screen, looking unusually annoyed, “Yes, princess?” He asked gruffly.
“He won’t wear what I got him! MAKE HIM DO IT!” Kitten cried so loudly that the glass in the café next to the limo clinked next to each other.
Killer Moth sighed and held up a trigger, “I’ll destroy the city if you do not…wear what my little girl got you.”
Beast Boy sighed and agreed, causing Kitten to tackle him and wrap her arms around his neck. She rubbed her face up and down his cheek, “Oh I knew you’d love me! We’re so perfect together. I can’t WAIT for when we get married and have little Beastie Boos of our own.”
No one would’ve known Beast Boy was green as all the color seemed to drain from his body as she brought up marriage. Hell, he just thought it’d be one lousy date and get it over with, just like Robin had. Oh why had he been so darn adorable and fuzzy? Note to self. Shave off all hair.
The limo began to rock as Kitten pried Beast Boy’s boots off and tried to dress him like a little sheep. The waiter near Raven watched the limo rock back and forth, followed by Kitten’s loud screams of glee. He laughed to himself and poured Raven another cup of coffee. “Looks like boyfriend and girlfriend couldn’t wait to get a room, right?”
He looked down at Raven as saw that the book she was holding was now a solid chunk of ash. She turned her head in a creepy way, looking up at the waiter. “He’s not…HER BOYFRIEND!” Raven shouted, wanting to sprout fangs and devour the waiter’s head, only to have his arms flailing about while she munched on him then spit him into the crowd of people.
Raven stood and shot into the corner of the room as the limo seemed to quiet down and watched as it took off. She turned and looked at the people in the café, all of which were pressed sharply against the back wall clearly afraid of her. Raven covered her face with her hood and paid for the coffee before she left.
Beast Boy pulled at the zipper of the sheep costume and sat on the other end of the limo, wanting to be as far away from Kitten as possible. Kitten giggled and waved at him, blushing heavily. He gulped as she crawled on the ground and over to him.
“Kitten likes her Beastie Boo all shy…” She said, totally contradicting herself earlier.
She placed both hands on his knees and pulled them apart, quite difficultly as Beast Boy tried to keep his legs shut not wanting her to crawl between them. Kitten crawled forward and rested her head on his chest, sighing happily. Beast Boy began to sweat bullets as her hand caressed his thigh and moved closer to somewhere only a girlfriend should be touching. He jumped and moved to the other end of the limo, just as it slowed down to a stop.
Kitten giggled and looked out the window. She squealed loudly, “We’re here!!” She bounced up and down in the limo before kicking the door open, sending the driver to the ground. She stepped on him and got out of the limo. Beast Boy tried to stay inside of the limo but was grabbed by his foot and dragged out.
Beast Boy turned bright red, dressed in a white fluffy sheep suit. He noticed where they were and wanted to crumble into a ball and die. They were at a carnival. Kitten latched onto his arm and grinned, shouting loudly, “OH BEASTIE BOO! YOU ARE TO DIIIEE FOR!”
Everyone turned and looked, a few guys started laughing at him while others looked on with wide eyes. Beast Boy dug his toes into the ground as Kitten began to pull and drag him to the ticket booth and gathered a whole roll of tickets. Beast Boy looked terrified as they entered the carnival.
“I want you to win me a toy!” Kitten squealed happily, dragging him over to the games booths.
Beast Boy slouched and held his hand out as the game attendant handed him a ball, “One pin for the donkey. Two pins for the monkey.”
Kitten stood insanely close to Beast Boy, batting her eyelashes as Beast Boy rolled up his sleeves and threw the ball. It missed. When he turned to look at Kitten, her face had gone red and it looked as if she were about to explode. Beast Boy laughed uneasily and heard the two pins knock over. The attendant looked back twice and then blinked several times. He shrugged and handed the large monkey to Beast Boy.
Kitten squealed and grabbed the stuffed animal from him, hugging it until the cotton popped out. “My Beastie Boo won me a prize!” She announced loudly, shoving the monkey into a passing by teenage girl and knocking her to the ground with it.
Beast Boy looked around and saw a small corner of a navy blue cloak hide behind a popcorn vending machine. He smirked, knowing it was Raven who was following him. He blushed at the thought that she cared that much for him. His thought was interrupted by Kitten who had latched onto his arm and looked around.
“OOOO PICTURES!!!” Kitten cheered as she dragged Beast Boy to the photo booth and shoved him inside.
Several moments later, Beast Boy emerged with his eyes spiraling, blinded from the constant flashing. Kitten pushed Beast Boy to the side and picked up the several pictures. Most of them were of her making cutesy faces while Beast Boy sat there slumped. She had one picture where she grabbed his face and kissed him full on the lips.
Raven had been hidden behind plants, benches and even behind vendors, watching Beast Boy and Kitten’s date. She had knocked the pins over, just so she didn’t have to hear Kitten whine and cry. She sighed as Kitten seemed to become more calm after she got the stuffed animal. As Raven turned to follow them onto some ride, her communicator went off. Raven pulled it out and opened it.
Robin was on the other side, “Raven? Where are you?”
“Out.” Raven replied, looking away as she heard Kitten’s loud squeal in the distance.
“We need you. We have to find the canisters before Killer Moth detonates them. Let’s go.” Robin closed communication.
Raven sighed and looked up. As much as she didn’t want to leave Beast Boy she knew that the city was in danger and she had to help. Raven turned and flew upward into the sky before disappearing, going to join the other Titans.
Beast Boy was holding onto the “you must be this height to ride” sign as Kitten was trying to pull him into a tiny wobbly boat. “BEASTIE BOO! C’MON LET’S GO!” She whined, “DON’T MAKE ME CALL DADDY!”
“Ah, man.” Beast Boy groaned, letting go of the pole and flopping to the ground.
Kitten smiled happily and dragged the sheep dressed changling into the tiny boat underneath a large frilly sign that said “Tunnel of Love.”
