Warnings: Female angst, and swearing. Also Leo might be WAY out of character in here.

She sat in the dark going over memories of the past month, her mask hung around her neck as she sat on her bed her head resting on her knees. She sighed and closed her eyes for a moment, wincing at the memories.

"I'm so pathetic." She mumbled pulling off the mask. "How could I let them down like that? How could I trust Kai so much?”

"Than he turns around and stabs me." She cringed and rubbed the still tender shoulder wound. "And my brothers and father nearly died because of what I did..."

"I'm so stupid..." She said trying not to cry since it showed weakness, she pulled off her mask dropping it off to the side before laying down pulling a pillow over her head trying to suck up her fit. She opened her eyes to look around the makeshift infirmary in the farmhouses attic again.

She faked sleep hearing footsteps coming up the stairs not wanting to be caught showing herself close to tears. April silently walked into the room, checking on bandages one last time before she headed to bed herself.

Leo waited hearing April walk to one of the other rooms shutting the door, she sat up rubbing her eyes now letting tears drip from her eyes, Leo shook it off calling herself weak heading to the window going for a walk.

Leo opened the opened the window silently as possibly, pausing as she felt the cool night air on her skin. She shook off her tears or tried to bowing her head lightly cursing her being a woman. Raph stirred hearing the sound of light crying.

'Damn it, if my brothers caught me crying, I'd never live it down, probably call me weak and girly.' Leo thought annoyed. She wipped her eyes before going out the window wanting to make her crying stop or at least some place decent to cry. Raph blinked as he saw a silhouette disappear out one of the windows, and carefully sat up.

He glanced back over at where his siblings were seeing Leo's bed empty. He raised an eyeridge before climbing out of bed, careful of his ribs, and made his way to the window. He saw Leo was walking slowly her head bowed lightly heading to the forest vanishing from sight.

He glanced back in the room, considering following or not. He sighed feeling his protective brother feeling winning him over as he winced going out the window. He carefully climbed down to the ground before following Leo.

He walked after her going in the forest hearing what sounded like a fist pounding on a tree, he followed the sound seeing Leo slam her fist in the tree angrily, and he blinked seeing her cry. Leo didn't see him as she kept beating on the tree, clearly frustrated.

"I'm so fucking stupid!" She snapped angrily. "God I can't believe I failed them." She winced as her shoulder protested the activity. She slammed her fist on the tree again making something break; she still punched at the tree still mad.

Raph blinked as he watched her. 'What's she mean now?' She looked at her hand for a moment sighing,

"I should have done better, I’m such a failure,” she said starting off another wave of tears. She leaned on the tree closing her eyes against the tears.

Raph bit his lip wondering if he should comfort her. She simply stood against the tree losing the fight against the tears

"...Great. Now I’m a huge ... crybaby." She said in between tears. She grimaced. "If Raph was here, he'd probably laugh at me for being weak and crying like a girl."

"He'd tell me how I’m unfit to lead since I even cry, since I’m a stupid girl, god I just wish I never found out I was a girl..." She said. "I wish I was mutated a guy, why did I have to be a damn girl." She hit the tree again. Raph frowned as he listened. She rested her head against the tree again

"Why am I a stupid girl? Raph resents me for it, Mikey treats me like I’m a weakling, Donny won't let me help in the lab, Sensei keeps trying to make me change my name to a girly one, god why couldn't I be a real Leonardo not just a Leo" she ranted slamming her hurt hand against the tree making another bone break.

She slowly slid down to her knees on the ground, leaning against the tree as she cried.

"I'm such a weakling,” She mumbled through sobs, placing her hands over her eyes. Raph silently slipped up behind her, placing a hand on her shoulder. She jumped up growling wanting to stop crying, she wobbled on her feet away from raph still crying failing at stopping it.

"Leave me alone!" She managed to snap annoyed. Raph easily slipped over grabbing her in a brotherly hug

"No, I do care even though I’m a pretty big asshole." He said. Leo cringed. 'Great, just the turtle I wanted.' She mentally grumbled, and kept wiping at her eyes.

He rubbed her back. "Its okay to cry Leo, not like I’m gonna tell anybody about it." Said raph trying to comforting.

"Leave me alone Raph, I'm just a stupid girly failure of a leader." Leo said, trying to pull away.

He held her tight. "No you're not, stop saying that." Said Raph "You're one of the strongest people I know, and you're allowed to cry when ever the hell you want."

"I find that hard to believe since you Donny and Mikey all see me as some weakling female..." Leo said.

"I don't see you as a weakling female Leo, I’m just pissy cause I never gotta be leader." Said Raph

"You should be gloating, I let you all down, you were all right about Karai, and I still trusted him, and he turned on me and us, and....."

"Leo you didn't let us down, you did all you could." Said Raph holding her tightly. "You thought he'd change, he seemed like he would for awhile, but its hard to predict what people really are like." Leo sighed and looked down, letting a tear slip down her cheek.

He rubbed her shell saying comforting words feeling her go lax in his arms starting to cry again. Leo sighed and rested her forehead on his shoulder as she cried. He held his sister in his arms letting her cry he still rubbed her shell in soothing circles just waiting for her to cry herself dry.

Leo sighed and eventually calmed down, wrapping her arms around her brother. As she closed her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder. Raph closed his own eyes feeling the wind whip around them as Leo relaxed in his arms now calmed down from her crying going over her thoughts.

'I'm still just a weak female, a weak failure....' She thought. Raph squeezed Leo a little tighter still feeling her mood, Leo closed her eyes trying to suck up any sad feelings and be emotionless.

"Leo, it's ok to show weakness." Raph said.

"Yeah this from the turtle who never shows anything but anger." Leo shot back.

"I cried when you were in that mini coma thing.” Said Raph "You just missed me crying is all."

Leo blinked. "You did?" She sounded surprised and leaned back to eye him.

"Yes, I did." He said looking genuine, she blinked again she never thought Raph would actually cry for her.

"Why?" She asked baffled, most of the time all her brothers seemed to see her as was a burden and annoying leader.

"Cause I care, you're my sister and I love ya Leo" Said Raph letting a hand rub leo's cheek in a brotherly way, to him leo was his older sister, he always cared about her even though he'd never openly admit it in front of others. "You know, I know we give you shit and all, all the time, but all three of us do care more then you know." Raph said.

Leo shook her head "I'm just the annoying girl." She said. "You'd be better off without me the failure."

"That's not true and you know it. If we just saw you as annoying, we probably wouldn't listen to you at all, if I thought you were annoying would I be here?" Leo looked at Raph unsure of what to feel now squeaking in surprise as Raph hugged her a little tighter.

"You're our sibling, you're not an outsider in the group, and you’re one of us. You're stronger then you think." Raph said softly, genuinely. Leo blinked again closing her eyes relaxing in Raph's grip as he held her, he felt Leo rest her head on his shoulder as she went over her thoughts again thinking over what Raph had said wanting to believe it.

Raph rubbed her shell softly, careful of the bandages. "We're all family." He said. “Remember when I helped you make new katanas?" She gave a small nod still resting her chin on his shoulder closing her eyes listening to him, she winced realizing she broke two of her fingers. 'That’ll be fun to explain'

Raph grabbed her hand and brought it up to examine the broken fingers. She winced feeling him move them a little checking them over

"Looks like you really broke em badly Leo." Said Raph,

"I guessed." She said not pulling her hand away for a few moments, her fingers hurt like hell.

Raph sighed. "Probably have to get them splinted or something.

"Gee, this'll be fun to explain." Leo sighed.

"Want some help making up an excuse?" Asked Raph letting go of her hand; he could guess how much it hurt about now.

Leo nodded. "That'd be great." She said.

"Come on, let's sneak back into the house and get your fingers fixed." Raph said. Leo gave another nod giving Raph a weak thank you smile as they headed back inside; momentarily happy she at least had Raph on her side. They snuck back into the dark house; evidently even Casey and April were in bed. Raph led her to where he knew the kit was kept.

He opened the kit finding what he needed starting to fix up Leo's fingers as she waited for him to finish. He carefully wrapped it, making sure to try and not make it feel worse. He could see Leo bit back a wince as he handled her finger a little to hard

"Sorry." He mumbled finally finishing the job. "Now what do you think sounds like a possible reason your fingers broke?" Asked Raph thinking over reasons.

Leo lifted her hand examining the fingers for a moment. She then looked to Raph. "Umm..." Both sat quietly for a few moments thinking up excuses

"Well. We can always say we started talking and you didn't notice the window snapping shut,” Offered Raph, and seeing Leo nod.

"See, I am an idiot, I couldn't even think up an excuse." Leo said and glared at a chuckling Raph.

"Leo, that's cause you're used to being the one to RECEIVE excuses, not giving them." Raph remarked. She frowned still, as Raph smiled lightly

"I guess we'll go with that one, better than one with us fighting." She said still drawing a blank on the excuses department. Raph nodded, and gave her hand a brotherly squeeze. Leo smiled softly giving his hand a squeeze back, looking at the time seeing they had been up for awhile

"How about we head back to bed, it is late" She said.

"Just as long as you're not gonna run off and beat up an innocent tree anymore." Raph teased softly.

Leo smiled a little wider "I won't, I doubt the tree will want anymore beatings." She teased back still holding Raph's hand. "Plus it fought back." She said, lifting her hand to show the fingers. Raph grinned and got up, letting go of her hand. Leo stood up and kissed him on the cheek. "Thanks, for caring and being there." He said.

"No prob Leo, remeber I’m here if you need someone to talk to." Said Raph letting his hand touch her cheek for a moment showing his rare smile, he let his hand drop as they headed back upstairs quietly. They Slipped back up to the room, and to their beds.

Leo relaxed in her bed glancing raph’s way smiling lightly before closing her eyes trying to get some sleep. She pushed her thoughts back finally relaxing and dozing off.

Raph stretched out on his shell on his makeshift hay bale bed, closing his eyes as he started to doze as well.

Raph sighed peeking over from his perch on the couch seeing Leo meditating off to the side, he frowned lightly remebering how pissy she had been lately.

'I wonder what's up with her?' He thought lightly as he watched the still form, wincing as he could see the top edge of the crack in his sister's shell now.

'I wish I could help but she keeps pushing me away' He thought remembering her snapping at mikey a few days ago when he bothered her while she was practicing.

Raph sighed. 'Maybe it's just a female thing or something...'

'It could be her time of the month... if she has one anyway' thought raph not wanting to dabble in that thought for very long, he looked back at the TV mildly interested.

'Females' He thought as he watched the TV. Mikey walked into the living area, Mikey took a seat next to Raph glancing back at leo seeing her get up heading to her room a cross frown on her lips.

Mikey frowned as he watched her disappear into her room. "Man, she's been so...moody today, she's almost turned into you Raph."

Raph glared at Mikey. "Shut up." He said. "She's just going through he PMS or something." Leo sat on the bed in her room covering her eyes letting out a sigh now pulling off her angry mask for the moment.

She rubbed her eyes as she closed them as she crossed her legs.

'You're pathetic...' whispered a voice in her head. 'Such a weak little girl....'

'No, I'm not.' She grumbled back at the voice.

'You are, you failed your family. They almost died because of you.' Said the voice.

'Raph said I couldn't do anything to stop it and I believe him.'

'If he's so great then why have you been snapping at him and the rest of your brothers lately?'

She looked down 'I-I dunno...' She thought looking at her still busted up hand moving the fingers a little. She was thankful that they at least weren't hurting anymore. Leo bit her lip.

'Sides I bet he was lying to you anyway...' Said the voice, Leo bit back sadness.

'Raph wouldn't lie like that, he does care!'

'You're a girl, all three of them probably just want to get in your non existent pants.' The voice taunted.

'Ewww! They're my brothers!' She shouted. She crossed her legs a little tighter at the thought

'So? You're just breeding stock to them. Specially since you're the only female of your kind.'

'They're just trying to get on your good side hoping you'll have sex with them and have their kid!' Leo bit her lip now feeling some tears in her eyes shaking it off

'It's not true...' she weakly protested. 'I won't believe you.' She said determinedly.

'Ah well your loss, just wait one day they'll get tired of waiting and just pounce and finally get the job done.' said the voice snidely sending a cold stab of fear into Leo's heart as she tried not to believe it, 'After that you'll be sorry you never listened to me.'

Leo gritted her teeth. 'I can take care of myself and fend them off if need be!' She managed to snap. The voice seemed to snigger at that

'At your level of training? You must be kidding me you're pathetically weak!' taunted the voice 'They'd take you easy, just sit on you and get the job done.' Leo's stomach turned at the mental images wincing.

'I'm not weak if Master Splinter made me leader.' She argued.

'He did that cause he felt sorry for you being the girl and all, he's probably rethinking that decision about now specially since you almost cost them all their lives.'

Leo shook her head, not wanting to believe, fighting away the image. Tears came up again getting the images over again as well as the newly added ones of her brother gaining up on her.

'No!' She yelled in denial. 'I won't let them do that to me...'

'Then you have to be better than they are.' Said the voice. 'Otherwise you'll probably be the unwilling partner in a foursome.' Leo cringed at the thought, unconsciously balling her hands in fists.

"N-no." She mumbled "I won't. Let that happen." She stood up glaring at the photo of her brothers standing next to her all smiling Splinter standing beside them as well April and Casey in the picture too, she grabbed it and threw it against the wall knowing what they were planning not going to be weak anymore. She watched it smash against the wall, before falling to a heap on the ground.

'No more nice weak girl turtle, I won't take this from them.' She bowed her head going over her thoughts seeing that the voice was right and picking out certain things that proved it correct. 'I'll be better then them. I’ll protect myself, I don't want to be raped....' She thought before letting a sob, 'This will be the last time I cry.'

She closed her eyes, letting her anger rise, putting a wall around her heart.

'Never again will I be so helpless...' She thought angrily before going over to the other few-framed photos in the room and tossing them against the wall as well making more glass litter the floor.

'Need to raise my strength and skill level...' She considered her options. She looked up hearing a knock on the door

"Leo you okay? I thought I heard something breaking." Came Mikey's voice from the other side.

"I'm fine." She snapped at him, turning to glare at the door. Mikey winced from his side.

"I was only checking Leo, I thought you might have gotten hurt or something." Said Mikey sounding worried for his sister.

"I'm not a weakling." She replied lightly. "Quit acting like I'm some fragile little female!' Mikey blinked a little hurt she thought he treated her like that.

"But...." He protested

"Go away Mikey, I don't need your pity." She snapped.

Mikey cringed. "Geeze was just trying to be nice." He said softly, slumping his shoulders as he headed back downstairs. Raph blinked seeing mikey come walking back with his shoulder slumped a small frown on his lips.

"What's wrong mikey?" he asked "Something happen to Leo in there?" Both turtles had heard the glass smashing in the room and wondered what was wrong with Leo.

Mikey frowned. "She snapped at me, told me to quit treating her like some fragile female, I was just worried." He said. Raph blinked a little surprised she'd get pissy for them caring about her, Mikey sat next to him glancing back at the door still sad she had snapped at him. Raph looked at his brother, Mikey seemed at a loss.

"We've never treated her like a fragile female, have we?" Mikey asked, sounding worried.

"Not that I know of, we treat her exactly the same as we do each other." Said Raph frowning at this shifting through his memories. "The only time we treated her girly was when we first found out and both you and I avoided her thanks to believing in cooties."

"Then why would she think that...." Mikey asked.

"I don't know, I’ll go ask even though I’ll have my head bitten off for it.” Said Raph standing up from the couch heading to Leo's room knocking on the door when he got there.

"Mikey I told you to leave me alone!" Leo said, not quite snappish.

"Its me Leo, I want to talk to ya.” He said,

"Go away Raph, I don't want to talk to anyone." She snapped wincing when she walked over the glass scattered on the floor. Raph frowned.

"Leo, tell me what's wrong." Raph said, blinking as he thought he heard the sound of cracking glass.

"Nothings wrong." She winced again as stepped on more glass making her foot bleed, she sat down trying to pick the glass out of her foot looking up seeing Raph had come in. "I thought I told you to go away Raph." She glared at him.

"Since when have I ever listened?” Said Raph noticing the glass scattered on the floor and broken picture frames. Leo grumbled as Raph frowned moving over to pick up one of the frames. He frowned seeing it was the few family pictures they had

"Why were you throwing these around?" He asked holding up the picture showing Leo and Raph attempting smiles as Mikey gave them both rabbit ears Donny rolled his eyes standing beside Mikey. Leo grumbled softly "That doesn't answer my question Leo.” He said walking carefully over avoiding the glass taking a seat next to her. Leo glared at him and scooted away.

"I'm fine." She snapped. He raised a eye ridge reaching over wanting to check on her foot seeing some blood drip from it, she went rigid her heart going faster as mental images from before came to her, she pushed Raph away scooting a little more back. She kicked out at him, only to ack when he caught her foot.
