For those of you who don't know who these people are, and are asking yourself, 'what the hell is she talking about,? I will give a little background info...
Riverdale is a small American town somewhere out there. This is in a state that has snow and beaches. It is in a time warp. These people have been teens for 70 years. I decided it was time for them to grow up.
Archibald Andrews (Archie) is a red headed, blue eyed nice guy, cute, but clumsy as hell. Girls find this endearing. He is on a few teams-football, baseball, basketball, runs track. When he can he is a cheerleader. Any thing to be around girls. He is a loveable chap, but has selfish ways. He is girl crazy, but has 2 favorite girls-Betty Cooper and Veronica Lodge. More about them later.
Forsythe Pendleton Jones is Archie's best friend. He is also known as Jughead, Jug, Juggy or Needle nose, depending on who is calling him. He is a slacker, lazy, and lives to eat. And he eats a lot. All of this is misleading. He really is a genius. He is very smart, cares for people. Will help a friend in need, though he won't share his food. No interest in girls. But he doesn't like guys either. He is a doting big brother to his baby sister Forsythia. Jughead renamed her Jellybean. What's the matter with Mr. And Mrs. Jones?
Reginald Mantle the third-wealthy only son of the newspaper magnate Reginald Mantle Jr. (Ricky) and Victoria Mantle. His dad is Ricky to everyone so little Reggie wouldn't get confused. They both doted on this boy, making him take music and dance lessons, and sports camps every summer. Reggie was a handsome young man, hazel eyes and did everything well. Modest he ain't. He had a large following of girls. Some nice some not so nice. Guess which ones he liked best? He was friends with Archie and Jughead but he also spent o lot of time playing evil pranks on them. He could never out prank Jughead though.
Veronica Lodge rich glamorously beautiful only child of Hiram and Hermione Lodge. Spoiled but kept humble by attending public high school with commoners, as she calls them. BFF of Betty Cooper. Primo, alpha, whatever you want, girlfriend of Archie Andrews. She uses men as her own toys, especially Archie. She will dump him for a better guy, then calls him back when she wants him. Which is usually if she knows he has a date with Betty.
Elizabeth Ann Cooper also known as Betty, is a beautiful blond haired blue eyed girl. She is a good soul, caring gentle, but has hidden fires when pushed. She loves Archie. She is the beta (#2, or spare) girlfriend to Archie. He will dump her in a second when Veronica or any other girl catches his interest. Which is anytime. Betty is an accomplished athlete, dance, swimmer, cook, clothing designer, seamstress, and did I say beautiful. Betty is also an ace mechanic. Archie is always calling her to fix his car, the idiot. She is a tomboy, but can be girlish when she wants. She is self conscious and not aware of her power over men. There are plenty who would love to date her, but she only had eyes for Archie. Nothing like Veronica. She would never use people the way they use her. Having rich friends didn't matter to Betty. She never asked them for any favors.
Ethel Muggs is a very tall-6'1 gangly girl who is very thin. She has an appetite for food equal to Jughead and she also never gains weight. She is an ugly duckling on the verge of becoming a swan. She has always been in love with Jughead, who spends his time running from her. He goes out with her occasionally. More later...
Last but not least is Cheryl and Jason Blossom. Rich bitch red headed twins whose wealth rivals the Lodges. Cheryl is a red headed bombshell for whom Archie will even dump Veronica . She is a dangerous rival for Archie's attention
Jason is a bad boy, very scornful of Riverdale's townie's. They were both sent to Riverdale High to humble them, their parent's following the Lodges and Mantle's. They knew their offspring was spoiled rotten.Jason had a soft spot-Betty Cooper. Both Reggie and Archie hated Jason and vice vesra.
Enough said about them. Now back to the story....
