Chapter 2: Fear
Space Sector 2261
Through the dark reaches of space Kyle Rayner, Green Lantern Honor Guard shot through the stars with two recently initiated Green Lantern's in tow. He had been dispatched by Salaek to investigate reported Manhunter activity near Mogo's current location. As the Manhunters were still under the thrall of Hank Henshaw, also known as the Cyborg Superman, this was considered a high priority mission. Normally Kyle would have been accompanied by his partner, Guy Gardner but Guy was currently on a special assignment.
While the guardians acknowledged the need for further assistance, they deemed they decided that two rookie lanterns and “the Torchbearer” would be enough for a simply information gathering assignment. Jumping into the system, all seemed quiet. The rooks investigated the reported local while Kyle stealthily looked for the object of this inquiry.
The trio were about to head to Mogo to see if the living planet had anything to report when Kyle suddenly came under attack. It assault was so quick and ferocious that Kyle never saw the yellow constructs that hit him, nor who his assailant was. All he could hear before blacking out were the cries of agony from the rookies.
As Kyle drifted barely conscious in space Parallax, the fear entity entered the body of his former host. Unlike last time he made no alteration to Kyle's appearance, nor his uniform. The rookie lanterns did not know how to handle this situation and before they could begin any kind of offensive Parallax used his host to destroy the rookie's power rings. Parallax watched in delight as terror overcame the two as the gasped for air as without the protection of the emerald bands the two died almost immediately of asphyxiation.
Parallax gave one last evil grin and set course for its rendezvous point. While the destruction of the rings would take some time to register on Oa, and even longer before help could be dispatched, it knew that in the grand scheme of things to come it only had a short amount of time to accomplish its mission.
Sector -1 The Planet: Qward
Lyssa Drak was currently kneeling in the Archive Tower awaiting Parallax. Prior to the war with the Green Lantern Corp she was the guardian of The Book of Parallax. As more beings entered into Sinestro's service she would inscribed the stories of the various Sinestro Corp members into the sacred book that was chained to her. Lyssa had found herself captured during the war and the book removed from her custody. She found some small measure of contentment in terrorizing a married Green Lantern couple with tales of the terrifying Kryb. It was during the Riots on Oa that she had managed to escape her sciencell. While trying to locate her missing book she came across the Black Book. Mesmerized by the power she sensed from the book Lyssa sought to claim it for her own. However, before she could even lift take the book Lyssa had found herself assaulted and then trapped withing the pages of the book by Scar, the Black Lantern Guardian.
Within its pages Lyssa could only watch events as they unfolded, unable to escape. It was only when Krona himself freed her from the book's pages that she was was once again able to observe, record and foresee future events. When Krona had informed his keeper of his plans, including his plans for her she could not hide her surprise. Still, seeking to fulfill her purpose she agreed to Krona's plans, least he put her back in the Black Book for disobeying him. Using her power ring, it was simple enough for her to return to her tower undetected. If she was found there would be questions, questions she would not be permitted to answer so she moved quietly with a purpose. A quick look around made it obvious to the Talokian that no one had entered her chamber since the war. Quickly making the necessary preparations, Lyssa knelt down and waited.
Kyle Rayner, possessed by Parallax teleported himself inside the Archive Tower to find it empty. This was good as he had no wish to kill any of his thralls, but had been ordered by his keeper to do so if he were discovered. Rather than walk, Parallax swiftly floated up the staircase to Lyssa's chambers.
The door to her chamber opened with an eerie creak. Lyssa looked up at the form of Kyle Rayner, once again possessed by the fear entity. The Terran male's green uniform suddenly shifted to a yellow one, the once proud emblem of her rival corp now the emblem of fear.
Parallax ceased his floating and began circling the blue skinned female like an Earth shark would its prey. “What do you fear?” Parallax asked the woman before him.
“The Unknown.” Lyssa replied.
“Is that all?” Parallax asked, this time brandishing razor sharp teeth. Saliva dripped from its enlarged mouth and landed upon her face.
“Yes.” Lyssa answered calmly.
Parallax restored his hosts face and grinned. When he was once again behind Drak he brought his hands to head and she felt the energy of fear in her body. When the fear entity was finished she felt different but was unsure how. Rising up she walked over to her mirror to find her face had been made less frightening, and more sultry. As she opened her mouth to question this she saw her teeth were no longer pointed, but flat. Her once generous bust had been increased at least two sizes.
“Why...” Lyssa asked. She wanted to ask more but this was all the once frightening female could conjure.
“What is more fearful, then that what no one expects. Your previous appearance might have frightened some, but not all. Now... now they will know true terror when you kill them at their weakest and most vulnerable moments.” Parallax informed the exotic looking Talokian.
The word made sense and as she dwelled on what the fear entity said she could see the faces of her victims as she killed them up close and personal while clad in little or nothing. “Yes... this will do nicely.”
Parallax grinned as he looked over his handy work. Utilizing the memory of its host, he had plucked the images of Power Girl, Merayn Dethalis and Jade as its inspiration. With a sense of urgency, Parallax grasped the garment that strained to contain Drak's now enlarged breasts and ripped it from her body. Lyssa gasped as her loincloth joined her top on the floor.
Lyssa had known what was to occur but she was ill prepared for the abruptness of the mating. Mashed against the stone wall she was immediately impaled by the engorged member of Parallax's host.
Lyssa had only had one lover prior to this encounter. Were it not for his ultimate fate at her hand she would barely remember him, he was that useless to her as a lover. The moment she was penetrated she knew she would always remember this event. Parallax roughly manhandled her breasts, pinching her nipples inciting her to groan in pain. The groans turned into loud grunts as the fear entity rammed its hosts member into her birthing canal. Lyssa grabbed the wall to give as she felt Parallax release he breasts and elevate her left leg. The new position allowed him to penetrate her even further and the fear entity thrust fiercely against the blue skilled woman.
Lyssa's head flailed back as she felt an energy construct penetrate her anus. She had never been double penetrated and she couldn't say that she was enjoying the sensation. Her partner however was cackling at her contorted face.
“You will know fear Lyssa Drak... the likes of which you never imagined.” Parallax informed his alien lover.
After thirty minutes of continuous intercourse Lyssa Drak's body was in agony. She had managed to use her ring to dull out most of her pain and pleasure receptors but she knew that she would not be released until the host's body was sated. She had tried to use her sexual appeal on him but the entity would not be fooled like a normal male would. Parallax seemed content to torture Lyssa but was suddenly alerted to something. Lyssa knew it must be of great importance as he actually stopped thrusting into her to contemplate whatever it was. When he turned his attentions back to Lyssa he thrust several more times and actually brought them both to sexual climax, something Lyssa had not been close to but suddenly occurred. Spent, a very sweaty Lyssa Drak dropped to the floor of her former chambers. Parallax watched her pant, breasts heaving as she fought to catch her breath. Parallax laughed at her as she struggled to move.
“Go back to the master. We have accomplished our task.” Parallax stated.
Unable to move her body, Lyssa vocally ordered her ring to return her to Ryut. The ring disassembled her body's atoms and transported her to Sector 666. She found herself in a rather lavish quarters considering the world was barren of all other life. Looking up she was greeted by Krona.
“You have done well Lyssa Drak.”
Lyssa nods, unable to answer her master. Looking out of the window of her chambers she could see all of the entities attached to their post including Parallax. The entity grinned at her maliciously.
Krona took note of this exchange and said, “I am sorry for your hardship but know that from this moment on you will want for not. You are the key to the future my dear.”
Lyssa nods again as Krona reaches out and touches the Talokian's brow and Lyssa felt all the pain fade away. She was still exhausted... but at least she didn't hurt.
“Rest now child... Rest.” And that was the last thing Lyssa herd before her world went black.
