Chapter 2

Training

The next morning beast boy woke up and stretched as he got out of the bed he went to his closet to get a fresh uniform, he slid one on when a ripping noise stopped his action. He turned to see a long gash in his uniform. “I grew,” said Beast Boy as he looked in the mirror “this is cool, I won't be insulted anymore about my height.” he then went to his dresser to find something to ware but he found that could fit him was a pair of combat pants and boots. Muttering as he lace his boots and tighten his belt Beast Boy headed to the main room.

As Beast Boy entered the main room the smell the drove him the previous day flooded his nostrils. He shook his head to drive it away, “morning” said Beast Boy as he made his way to the fridge. “Yeah, morning.” said Cyborg as he looked at his friend “um, Beast Boy, why was there a wet spot by your door.” Beast Boy turned to look him in the eyes “why were you in my room?” said Beast Boy, causing Cyborg to jump a bit “you have been acting weird lately,” questioned Cyborg as he turned changed his into a cannon silently. Beast Boy sniffed the air

“Where Robin?” asked Beast Boy as he opened a can of soda, “he left a few hours ago, how did you know he was gone?” “It’s a guess.” said Beast Boy as he saw Raven enter the room, Beast Boy watched as she went into her morning routine. He notices how she would stir her tea clockwise and adjust the temperature by adding cream. “What are you looking at?” asked Raven after taking a sip of her tea; “nothing” muttered Beast Boy who stood there breathing deeply with a smile.

“you know you're a bad liar,” said Cyborg as he opened the oven and taking out a mile high stack of beef.” Beast Boy mouth watered as he looked at the meat. Normally, meat would disgust him, Beast boy had been a vegan since he was a kid when the chief decided it would be safer for the tribe if he avoid meat. But now he had a hard time to control his hunger, Beast Boy then snarled as the smell mocked him in a way tempting him like Terra did, or the way that moped looked, it was something he wanted to have in his possession. With Great force he pushed these feelings aside and grabbed a bowl of cereal.

“Where’s Starfire?” said Beast Boy “I haven't seen her yesterday and today.” “She went home for a week.” said Raven as she placed a frozen waffle in to the toaster “ok, how's crime?” said Beast Boy as he rinsed his bowl. “It’s been low, and I think Slade decided on retirement.” said Cyborg as he finished his meal.

“You know you can turn your arm back to normal.” said Beast Boy pointing to his arm while breathing in the smell of he believed fear, “why are you scared of me?” “I am, not.” Said Cyborg looking at Beast Boy “it’s just that you been acting weird,” ‘I’m horny and I am angry’ thought Beast Boy as he said “I’m fine.” Cyborg then decided that he would work on his car leaving the two titans alone.

“You’re not fine,” said Raven as placed her cup into the sink, “how would you know,” said Beast Boy as he stood up, “last night, you toyed with me,” “lets start your training” said Raven trying to avoid this conversation. The two started to walk up to the roof, Beast Boy looked around when Raven told him to sit. Slowly he sat then watches as raven sat across from him “ever meditated before?” asked Raven looking at Beast Boy shake his head “is it similar to prayer.” Asked Beast Boy “in, a way.” Said Raven, looking as he sighed, “you have a problem,” “lets just say me and god aren’t on speaking terms.” Said Beast Boy with a slight growl, “just try it,” encouraged Raven “fine,” said Beast Boy.

Raven instructed on how she meditated, pretty soon he was muttering the chant she had instructed, a few hours later, Raven opened her eyes to find Beast boy hadn’t move, ‘he took this seriously,’ then the light shine from behind him and Raven saw the wires leading to his pocket, “just then Raven pulled wires out causing Beast Boy eyes to open,

“What the hell.” Said Beast Boy in confusion “I was meditating,” Raven then pulled out the I pod “ok, explain, this.” Said Raven as the color of his skin whiten “meditation is boring,” said Beast Boy “then why did you wasted my time.” Snapped Raven “because you said that you would help me,” said Beast Boy “and the day wasn’t a waste,” as he said that he kissed her gently what shock Raven yet excited her.

As they kissed Beast Boy stuck his tongue into her mouth and she did the same, then pulled off the cloak and started to pull down the leotard, “stop it,” said Raven. Beast Boy growled then did what she said, and then Raven sat up, and looked at him in the eyes. It was strange it looked like a mixture of Pain and joy, “you’re a tease,” said Beast Boy joking slightly and angry. That caused Raven to laugh lightly. “I never been call that,” said Raven as she pulled up her leotard and refastened her cloak “you don’t like me,” said Beast boy as he sat up “no, it’s just that I am seeing someone else,” Beast Boy looked shocked and slightly hurt “could you tell me who.” Said Beast Boy “I can’t,” replied Raven hiding her face from his gaze,

“come on,” said Beast Boy as they made there way back in the tower “you can trust me,” “it’s complicated besides it might upset you,” said Raven disappearing leaving Beast Boy alone with his thoughts,

Beast Boy made his way to the kitchen he took out a glass of water and sat there looking at his hands as a voice entered his mind “you’re an animal” said the voice “man’s laws mean nothing to you.” “It’s not right though,” said Beast Boy “I don’t want to hurt her.” “Listen, to us gar,” said the voice “you’re the king of the animals and humans lie in your kingdom.” “I am Garfield Logan and I am human.” Said Beast Boy as his hands were shaking “humans destroy and have a grasp of their inventions.” Said the Voice “but animals can do anything they want and get away with it,” his eyes widened as fur started to grow on his hands and his nails became longer. “I am in control.” Muttered Beast Boy as he stood up he felt his spine cracking and shoulders expanding.

“Humans get rejected,” said the voice as it got louder “animals take what’s theirs,” “enough,” snarled Beast Boy as he clutched his head “I don’t need any animals help.” Suddenly he looked down at his shoes as they tore open. “Humans dress animals in clothes because they want amusement.” Said the voice as it almost became deafening “they tell us to sit and stay,” flashes of robin entered his mind. “They're my friends.” Said Beast Boy “and family.” “But you’re not in charge,” said the voice “you seek power deep inside, that’s the humans flaw.” Beast Boy felt his fangs appear as the bit his tongue causing it to bleed “but the people in the city,” said Beast Boy “I was brought here to protect them.” “No, you offered to protect them, and what do they ignore you.” Images of the two girls rejecting him and laughing at him. (Every dog has its day)
“Also Raven is training you, pets get trained Garfield” Gar tried to speak but all came out was a growl then with broken English he said “Raven, cares about us.” “But she cares about Robin more.” Said the Voice as it took control.

Robin entered the main room and his eyes widened as he looked at Beast Boy fearing that it maybe a recurrence of the Beast he threw a freezing disk towards him, noticing it in the air Beast Boy jumped avoiding it’s impact “look at your friend” said the voice, “he attacks without thought, you’re the king of the animals teach him a lesson” Beast Boy took to steps forward then looked at him, Growling foaming at the mouth he stood there like a rabid dog before rationality took hold “no,” thought Beast Boy “I am not going to attack him.”

Beast Boy stood there looking at Robin trying to remain calm “why,” said Beast Boy looking at him “he’s afraid,” said the Voice “can’t you smell the fear on him.” Beast Boy smelt the air, then wiped the foam from his mouth showing him that he still the same, “Beast Boy,” said Robin, “what happened.” Beast Boy shrugged his shoulders still keeping his eyes on Robin as he took a step foreword,

Beast Boy then started to feel uneasy like he were in a cage he slowly backed away from Robin. But Robin kept walking, then out of fear Beast Boy scratched him, sending a deep long cut along his arm “sorry.” Cringed Beast Boy not moving as he stood there in the corner seeing Cyborg there holding something strange a smoking barrel. Then it hit him as darkness took, him.
