A Crooked Life
ELECTRA sat behind the desk in a purple low-cut dress exposing her ample cleavage.
Her long, dark hair tumbled over her shoulders and her eyes gleamed as she looked at the selection of diamonds sparkling on the blotter in front of her.
The two men seated opposite her couldn’t help leering as they looked alternately from the jewels to Electra’s beautiful face.
“Excellent work, gentlemen,” she said admiringly. “Was there any trouble?”
The pair shook their heads.
“Sweet as candy,” said one. “Just as you said.”
Electra brushed one of the diamonds with her fingertips, ran her tongue over her lips and breathed softly: “God, just looking at these jewels makes me hot.”
She had to stop herself laughing as she watched both men’s eyes almost pop out of their heads.
For a moment she considered toying with them a little longer but dismissed the idea.
“Now,” she said formally instead. “I suppose you’ll be wanting your payment.
“And as you’ve done such a splendid job I’ve decided to offer you a little extra recompense.”
She moved her hand from the diamonds and pressed a buzzer at the side of the desk.
There was the sound of a door opening and then footsteps entering the room. Both men turned their heads and then almost froze in their seats.
The Boy Wonder was striding towards them with a determined expression on his face.
“Meet Robin, gentlemen,” cooed Electra.
One of them whirled round and stared at her his face a mixture of fear and confusion.
“What’s this,” he blurted out. “Don’t tell me he’s on your payroll?”
“No,” smiled Electra. “Just in my bed. But it amounts to the same thing.”
She looked up at her besotted lover and said: “I think you’d better deliver these two naughty men to justice sweetheart. Together with the diamonds.”
The tallest of the pair leapt from his seat.
“Now look here,” he cried but his words were cut short by Robin’s fist smashing into his stomach.
He doubled over to be met by an uppercut to his face.
Electra watched admiringly as the teenage crimefighter went about cruelly and efficiently dismantling both the crooks.
She allowed herself the pleasure of imagining it was Batman suffering at the hands of his blows – the Caped Crusader’s body being beaten into submission before her.
By the time the thought melted away both men lay broken on the floor with their hands cuffed behind their backs.
Robin hauled them one by one to their feet and stood menacingly behind them.
“You can’t do this,” burbled one of them through a split lip oozing blood. “Wait ‘til we tell them what we know.”
“They’ll never believe you,” replied Electra grinning confidently.
“Goodbye boys. It’s been nice working with you.”
Robin grabbed the pair by the shoulders and turned them round.
As her marched them out of the building Electra cried out after him.
“Oh Robin, while they’re being booked in do get Commissioner Gordon to give me a ring. I have some business to discuss with him.”
