Nightwing hurtled violently backward into the concrete wall as Tangle’s boot crashed into his midsection once again.
“Get up, slave!” Tangle ordered sternly. “I’m not through with you yet. A half dozen blows should be easy for you to take.”
Nightwing grimaced, still in obvious pain, and clutched his side while staggering back to his feet. Keeping his head submissively bowed, he fought to regain his breath.
“Yes, mistress,” he responded obediently. “I’m sorry I showed such weakness and I will strive to do better next time.”
Tangle smiled brightly, noting the glint of fear mixed with anticipation in his eyes. It was a look she had anticipated and waited for. It was the look gleaned from days of endless mental, physical, and sexual torture and hopelessness. It was the look of a broken man.
“Good, you’ve learned your lessons very well. Now, shall I reward you with a nice, hard kick to your balls?”
“Yes, please,” he nodded dutifully. “I would like nothing more, mistress.”
“Excellent, slave.”
She had taken it upon herself to personally ‘educate’ Nightwing and was very proud of her results. But it was all just a prelude to what she had in store for their real target; just a mere training exercise on the road to taming the very best of these so called ‘heroes’.
The gorgeous blonde patiently waited as the superhero widened his stance and compliantly folded his arms behind his back to allow her a clean shot. She couldn’t help but giggle with glee as she daintily stepped forward and rammed the toe of her stiletto boot into his balls with a gut wrenching “thud”.
Nightwing instantly went down, crumpling in half like paper, and curled up into the fetal position while sobbing softly on the floor. Yet there was still the hint of a smile at the corner of his lips knowing he had served his mistress well. That alone made the pain more bearable as he faded out of consciousness.
Tangle sighed and turned to Lasso Girl who had been watching from the entrance of the sturdy prison cell.
“I’m starting to get bored with these toys, boss. I think we’ve just about worn them out.”
She pointed disdainfully toward the floor.
“It took some time “convincing” this one, but just like all the others he’s become a very compliant and docile slave. They all are now, in fact so much so that it’s almost taken all the fun away.”
Lasso Girl grinned as Tangle slammed the metal barred door shut behind her and locked it. The two stunning villainesses strolled past several containment cells, each housing a different superhero they had captured. For Robin, a powerless Green Lantern, and Nightwing the usual steel and concrete cells were more than enough to hold them. But for Captain Marvel, the World’s Mightiest Mortal, they had gone with a pure promethium walled unit fitted with special energy shackles as well. That, combined with constant draining from Alexandra guaranteed even he stayed in check.
“I’m actually very glad you’ve brought that up, Tangle” Lasso Girl remarked. “And I agree it is time we got some new playthings to keep us entertained. The prison wing of our new base is not even close to being filled to capacity but not just any old superheroes will do.”
Tangle instantly perked up, her icy blue eyes shining brightly.
“You mean…”
Lasso Girl nodded.
“Yes, it’s just about time for the real deal. We’re going to change the game and up the ante for our dear old friend Superman by taking what matters most from him. We’ll make him regret opposing us and trying to stand in our way of total conquest. So make sure all the girls are ready and follow the plan, Tangle, because when we’re done he’ll come to us- and this time not even he is going to stand a chance against our combined power.”

“What a day.”
Lois closed the door behind her, leaning back against it momentarily, and breathed in a heavy sigh of relief. As much as she enjoyed going on assignments to get the big scoop, sometimes she wondered if it was all worth it.
She casually tossed her car keys on the kitchen table and looked around the darkened upscale apartment. Since she had come home a bit earlier than expected from her out of town assignment, and with Clark still at work, she would have the place to herself for a little while. And as exhausted as she felt that was probably a good thing.
The thought of relaxing in a nice hot bubble bath was easing her thoughts already. She could already feel the hot water easing her every muscle and practically smell the jasmine scented candles she had recently bought and situated around the tub.
Lois slipped off her black high heels and headed toward the bathroom when she noticed a light emanating from the bedroom at the end of the hall. A sliver of light pierced the darkness of the hallway from under the bottom of the closed door as the attractive brunette cautiously approached. She closed her hand around the knob and waited. It wasn’t like Clark to absent mindedly leave lights on with nobody home. She tentatively wrapped on the door, a slight feeling of dread building inside her gut.
“Clark? Clark are you in he--”
A sudden tapping noise from behind caught her attention. As she turned, a length of rope dropped over her head and tightened around her wind pipe cutting off her air. She desperately clutched at it, gasping for oxygen, as the sharp “click clack” of high heeled boots on the hardwood floor behind her grew closer. The world suddenly began to turn hazy as tears welled up in the corners of her eyes. She dropped down to all fours. Her attacker pulled up the slack in the rope making it impossible to turn her head to get a clear look. Cruel laughter rang out above her. She felt a knee being driven into her lower back, adding to her discomfort and keeping her pinned to the floor.
“Good evening, Mrs. Kent, it’s nice to finally meet you,” Tangle announced happily
She playfully cocked her head to the side.
“What’s that? Do you want to say something?”
Lois coughed and wheezed loudly as Tangle loosened the rope just a bit finally allowing her to breathe. The beautiful villainess then began gently stroking the frightened brunette reporter’s cheek with the back of her hand. It was a mocking act, meant more to intimidate than soothe.
Lois angrily thrashed about, trying anything to break free but to no avail. Realizing she could not escape under her own power she did the only thing she could.
“My…husband will be here…any minute,” she said, trying to sound as brave as possible. “So you had better be gone by then.”
She had hoped her threat would cause second thoughts in the intruder’s mind and perhaps hasten her leave but it seemed to have quite the opposite effect.
Tangle snickered and lowered herself to her captive’s eye level. She was exuberantly feeding off Lois’s palpable anger and fear while relishing her complete control- control that she hoped to extend to someone else very soon.
“Oh we’re counting on it, dear. In fact, why don’t you go ahead and call out to him. We know he always comes running at the sound of your voice. So c’mon, Lois, fill those lungs and give us a scream.”
****************************
“Something is going on, Clark, something big.”
Superman pressed a finger to the Justice League com link in his ear, his voice filled with anxiety.
“Believe me I know, Bruce.”
“No I don’t think you realize just how far Lasso Girl’s team has gone. Robin, Nightwing, and possibly others are missing. I know they’re behind it.”
“You’re probably right but…hold that thought. I think I hear something.”
He listened again and this time it was unmistakable. He would know the sound of her voice even a world away. It was Lois. He always made sure he was especially tuned to his wife and other love ones at any given time to be able to pick up their unique voices among thousands of others.
“Bruce, Lois is in trouble! It’s them. I think they’ve got her.”
“Wait for me, I’ll back you up.”
“There’s no time!” Superman yelled as he cut off communication.
The Man of Steel turned in mid flight, barreling past the glass and steel skyscrapers of downtown Metropolis toward his home. Even with super speed he prayed he would make it in time. He was there in seconds and the sight before him brought a flood of anger sweeping over his usually reserved demeanor.
Lois was out on the balcony of their apartment- with Tangle applying a rough choke hold on her from behind.
“Why, Superman, how nice it is to finally see you again!” the villainess shouted cheerfully. “I’ve just been sharing a couple stories with your wife here about the entertaining times you and I have spent together in the past and how much you enjoyed it; y’know just a bit of chatting between girls.”
“Get your hands off her right now, Tangle!” Superman growled.
The beautiful blonde vixen dismissively rolled her eyes.
“Ooohh, I’m sooo scared of the big bad superhero.”
Superman clenched his fist tightly, his rage boiling over at her nonchalant attitude.
“Let go of her or I’ll—”
“You’ll what, S-man? You and I both know you simply can’t beat me and deep down you know it. Or have you already forgotten what happened the last time you tried to stop us?”
Her words inadvertently caused memories from when they had held him captive to flash into his mind- how they had enjoyed humiliating and defeating him time and again. But he wouldn’t let it happen this time.
Tangle couldn’t help but grin at how her actions were driving the usually calm and commanding hero into a fuming frenzy. She decided to step it up a notch and wound a handful of Lois’s dark brown hair around her fingers before roughly yanking her head back.
“You’ll see it soon enough too, sweetie. You’ll get to see firsthand how your “big, strong, powerful” husband- even with all of his god like powers- is completely and utterly helpless against a mere mortal woman.”
For Superman that was the last straw. He could take no more of his wife’s suffering or the arrogant villainess’ taunting. He kept himself poised and at the ready, waiting for his moment to strike. As Tangle started to speak again he made his move. Before she could utter the first syllable of the first word, he had wrenched her away from Lois and had her pinned against the back wall of the apartment.
“I’ve got you,” he proclaimed, his eyes burning like bright red coals. “You slipped up and made a huge mistake coming here and attacking the person I care about the most in this world. All your little tricks and feminine wiles aren’t going to help you now. I’m taking you down for good, Tangle.”
At once all the suffering they had put him through bubbled up to the surface. It took every ounce of restraint in him to resist snapping her in two. And although he wouldn’t physically hurt her he still wanted to at least put a bit of fear into her.
“This time there won’t be any miraculous escapes from prison because I’m going to make sure they put you and your friends in the deepest, darkest cells they have in Stryker’s Island and throw away the key.”
“Mmm… I love it when you try to sound all tough and commanding, Superman. But why don’t we fast forward this confrontation to its logical conclusion- with you on the ground and me standing triumphantly over you.”
He couldn’t believe her dismissive attitude. Even when he had her utterly subdued it seemed she really believed that she would win. He eyed her suspiciously as she tilted her head to the side and began grinning from ear to ear.
“What’s so funny?”
“Do you really think I’d actually come here all alone? You don’t ‘have me’, silly man, I have you!”
Superman was blindsided by a savage blow that rocked his entire frame. His head was thrown back as a knee ricocheted off his temple and a fist pounded into his gut. With his brain still swimming from pain he labored to bring his muscular arms up in an effort to deflect the multitude of super fast blows raining down upon him. He could make out flashes of metallic silver and knew immediately who it was.
“Ha! You’re strength is nothing compared to mine!” Lasso Girl declared.
Utilizing his own blindingly quick reflexes the Man of Steel managed to slip past her defenses and catch her fist in mid strike.
“Strength isn’t everything and yours won’t be enough today!”
He laid into her, knowing he didn’t have to hold back, and flattened her to the ground with a solid right hook.
“You rely on that suit too much, Lasso Girl. The artificial strength that it gives you is a crutch. You’ll never win this fight.”
“We’ll see about that. Now, Alexandra!”
The wall beside them abruptly exploded, showering bits of plaster and concrete into the apartment and just about everything else.
“It’s time for another heaping helping from my favorite snack!”
Alexandra lunged toward the Man of Steel with her hands eagerly outstretched.
Though it was sudden it was not entirely unexpected. Superman had fought them enough times to know that there was always a good chance for a sneak attack. And this time he was prepared. He inhaled a mouthful of air to be compressed in his powerful lungs and let loose a torrent of arctic breath, freezing the female parasite in place under a layer of subzero ice before she had a chance to get within arms reach.
In a blur, almost faster than the human eye could detect, he was on Lasso Girl again knowing he had to end this quickly before they had a chance to regroup. Superman seized the wriggling villainess by her throat and effortlessly lifted her off the ground.
“It’s over. You’ve lost.”
As he cocked his fist back for the knockout blow he heard tiny but familiar voice call out to him from above.
“Kal?! I heard an explosion from the other side of the city. What’s going on? Are you and Lois okay?”
Supergirl quietly floated in from the gaping hole in the wall, her bright azure eyes growing wide as they surveyed the damage.
What was she doing here, he thought. He had not sensed her anywhere in the city when he heard Lois’s cry for help. And he had trained her to know better than to blindly enter an unknown battle zone without carefully checking her surroundings.
There was a loud cracking sound nearby. He knew immediately what it was.
“No stay back, Kara!”
But his warning came too late. Superman watched in horror as Alexandra broke free of the ice and grabbed hold of Supergirl from behind. The two of them remained floating in the air as the parasite’s hand began glowing and giving off a vibrant purple aura.
“Be a smart boy and release Lasso Girl before I drain the life out of your precious protégé.”
“Please, Kal, help me!” Kara cried.
Superman had taken his focus off the villainess in his grasp a little too long. Lasso Girl took advantage of the momentary distraction and quickly reached forward and placed both palms against his broad chest. The air around her hands began to swirl and warp as a stream of crimson energy erupted from her palms, barreling straight into the Man of Steel’s sternum. The force from the blast sent him crashing through the bedroom wall like a missile.
It felt as if his chest were on fire from the tremendous amount of heat emitted from the attack.
Lasso Girl stepped through the second gaping hole the battle had left in the apartment and stood over the still stunned Superman with her right fist trained directly on him.
“It’s time to show you what this suit can really do. In addition to granting me enhanced strength, durability, speed, and flight- it also allows me to manipulate all sorts of energy- including red sun radiation!”
She let loose another crimson spike of energy that smashed into the “S” symbol of his uniform.
“Gaahhhh!!” Superman cried in pain and dropped to his knees.
But the absolutely searing pain the red sun radiation blasts caused was only part of the problem.
“I know that red sun energy neutralizes the natural powers you get from earth’s yellow sun, Superman. So each time I hit you with this it drains a little more of your powers away.”
The beautiful auburn haired villainess laughed evilly as she unleashed yet another blast.
“Aaargghh!”
“How does that feel, Superman? Extra painful, I hope. It’s only a matter of time before I siphon away your solar reserves and leave you powerless.”
It was true. He could already feel his power levels dipping by a wide margin and would have to act fast before he was rendered helpless. It was then that he caught the look in Lois’s eyes. Lace had her trapped in a corner with her boot pinned against her chest but he could plainly see the look of fear and concern. He couldn’t give up now, not with two of his loved ones hanging in the balance.
He stepped forward on wobbly but determined legs.
“…No…I won’t…let you…win.”
“You act like you have a choice in the matter!”
With kryptonite lasso in hand, Tangle pounced on his massive back and wrapped her long shapely legs around his. The villainess quickly coiled the rope around each hand with about a foot of slack in between. Then she proceeded to slip it under his chin and around his thick bull neck, crossing her wrists in an “X” and pulling the rope taught.
“Yeehaaw!” she yelled jubilantly.
The sexy blonde rode Superman like a wild bronco as he tore at the lasso and bucked wildly in an effort to shake her off. But the red sun blasts had already weakened him substantially while the kryptonite woven rope did the rest. He could feel his remaining powers dwindling by the second as his strength began to falter.
Lasso Girl, Alexandra, and Lace laughed boisterously at the increasingly ridiculous spectacle, hooting and hollering loudly.
“Wooohooo! Ride that stallion, Tangle!”
“Yeah, show that animal who the master is!”
Tangle stayed on him progressively choking and weakening him until his knees began to buckle. His struggles were becoming less and less frequent and he was only standing on pure will.
“I’ll bet you find this position rather familiar, huh Supes?” laughed Tangle. “I learned it from Alexandra after all.”
“Stop it!” Lois cried. “Get away from him you crazy bitch!”
Lois was not used to seeing her husband being defeated so soundly. And she was much more accustomed to watching him fight huge hulking monsters or alien beings like Metallo or Doomsday than being beaten by a group of petite, sexy, attractive women.
“Oh look, Superman, you’re making your poor wife all upset. How does it feel knowing you can’t do a damn thing to save her?
Tangle tightened her grip on the lasso, relishing her certain victory in bringing the great beast under control. The Man of Steel slowly, inevitably sank down to his hands and knees, too weakened to fight anymore as the villainess at last dismounted her steed.
“Well, it looks like I defeated you again, Supes. How many times is that anyway? I think I’ve lost count. But don’t think you’re leaving here with nothing. Here’s a nice parting gift for old times sake.”
Superman groggily looked up just as Tangle’s boot connected flush against his jaw laying him out on his back. The beautiful vixen stood triumphantly over his prone body, adding insult to injury by resting her boot on his chest.
“See, I told you it would end this way- and you wouldn’t believe me.”
She blew him a kiss as they turned to leave.
“We’ll be seeing you again soon, lover, so try to put up a better fight next time.”
Superman could hear Lois calling out to him in the distance as the darkness engulfed him.
