Virtue looked around at the small command centre of the Birds of Prey, The Attic, as she and the Birds emptied out of the elevator. She let out a small whistle, admiring the tech on display, in particular the work bench where Batwoman no doubt designed most of their best equipment. The only way this could get any better would be if it had a transporter leading to Batman's base of operations.
"Wow, you guys have a sweet base," Virtue complimented.
"Anyway, Virtue-" Batwoman started to say, quickly getting cut off.
"Just call me Holly," the late teen girl remarked, removing her mask. "I mean, I know all of your identities. Might as well keep it even."
"Holly," Kate corrected herself. "Why are you here?"
"Well, like I explained before, I can read and ride different emotions," Holly explained. "I came to Platinum Flats because I've been able to sense massive fluctuating emotions spiking like crazy over here."
Raven nodded. "My brothers' handiwork, I'd bet. They can each influence and manipulate the elements of one of six of the Seven Deadly Sins within a person."
"Right, I've sensed high levels of six of them coming from the city lately," Virtue went on. "Wrath, Sloth, Lust, Gluttony, Envy, and Greed. There's just one I haven't sensed: Pride. I'm gonna assume that one's supposed to be your department?"
"Doesn't matter," Raven answered. "Either way, we need to stop my brothers before things get much worse around here."
Black Canary sat back on the couch, arms crossed. "Y'know, that reminds me. When you first came here, you were surprised there were portals open here instead of Stonehenge. Why is that?"
"Stonehenge exists on a site where powerful mystic energies collide and intersect," Rachel explained, taking a seat. "Some light, some dark. The resulting chaotic energy allows for the gates to the Under-Realms to open there. It's one of a few places he can open portals."
"Where are the others?" Oracle inquired.
Raven thought for a moment. "Let's see, there's Gotham City-"
"What a shocker," Huntress muttered, sitting next to Dinah.
"But the portals aren't very stable there," Rachel went on. "The last thing that tried to cross through ended up losing their head when the portal suddenly shut on them. And while Father didn't exactly care much that someone died, he knew sending an army through there was a bad idea."
"So, why here?" Batwoman asked. "What's so special about this city that he can send his sons through?"
Raven sighed, not having an answer. The group sat in silence for what felt like several minutes, each pondering the same question: What was letting Trigon's sons pass through to Platinum Flats? Looking for inspiration, Oracle brought up a map of the city, looking for any kind of pattern to the disturbances as of late. As she did so, though, Raven looked to the map, her eyes widening as she saw it.
"Oracle!" she yelled, shattering the silence. "Flip the map of the city horizontally and vertically!"
Barbara looked confused for a moment, but did so, Raven gasping at the sight. "Now highlight the main roads of the city!"
Again, Babs complied, creating a pattern that made Rachel stumble. "...Rachel? What is it?"
"I know what it is," Batwoman announced, helping Raven to a chair. "Can't believe I missed it. The main roads connecting through the city share the exact same path as the connecting routes through the Under-Realms, except reversed horizontally and vertically."
"What does that mean?" Virtue asked. "That we're basically living in Hell on Earth?"
"It means more than that," Raven whispered. "It means that if Trigon is able to maintain a strong enough corruption of the city, he'll be able to cross through the portal."
"How do you know?" Hel demanded.
"Because he's been looking for this one place on Earth for millennia!" Rachel exclaimed. "And if Trigon can take even one step on the world, there is NO ONE who can stop him from conquering it. Not Superman, not Wonder Woman, not Doctor Fate, NO ONE."
The group took in everything Raven said. Superman and Wonder Woman were the world's strongest man and woman respectively, and Doctor Fate was the most powerful magician the world had ever known. If none of them could stop Trigon, should he be allowed to step foot on Earth, the lot of them didn't have a prayer against him.
Huntress rested her chin on a fist, considering their options. "So, I know this would be kinda crazy, but why don't we just evacuate the city and level it?"
"I think that even if we nuked the city, it would still be geographically here," Dinah noted. "Also, I'm willing to bet the roads looking the same is because the contractors were subconsciously inspired to make them that way."
Raven nodded. "Even if Superman heat visioned straight through the Earth and literally pulled Platinum Flats straight up and off the planet, we'd still have a crater in the middle of nowhere that would potentially be even easier to corrupt. And who knows what kind of damage that could do to the world."
"So, the only option is to keep Trigon off Earth," Batwoman summarised. "That means defeating Raven's brothers."
Holly eyed the Dark Knightess suspiciously. "...Kill them?"
Batwoman just looked Virtue in her eye. "No. They're still half-human, and we don't kill humans. Still, that DOES give us an advantage: If we can keep them stalemated for long enough, they may just give up. After all, Trigon has all the time in the universe to do his evil deeds. They don't."
Holly nodded, sensing that Batwoman was telling the truth. However, she could tell from the aura around Raven that she wasn't so sure. Something would have to be done about that if her team-mates were going to be able to count on her.
"...Raven, I'd like to speak with you alone about some things," Virtue said. "It could be pivotal."
Rachel blinked in surprise. "U-Um, okay. Where?"
Raven just stared at Virtue, who was sitting across the table from her. A pair of ice cream sundaes sat on the table, one for each of them. Her new 'friend' had changed into something a bit more casual before coming here, as had Rachel. If she had known this is what she had in mind, however, she would have just as soon said no and locked herself in her room.
"I've known you for a grand total of a couple of hours, and already, I'm starting to intensely dislike you," Raven admitted.
Holly shrugged, taking a spoonful of ice cream. "What?"
"You tricked me into going on a date with you to this ice cream parlour," Rachel accused, "when I should be trying to work out what my brothers are up to,"
"No, I told you I needed to talk to you about some pivotal things alone," Holly corrected. "Mind you, the sundaes DO help liven the mood."
"What are we supposed to be talking about?" Rach asked. "Comparing bra sizes?"
Holly smirked, given Raven a very sultry look. "Wasn't on my agenda, but if you're offering..."
Rachel looked unamused, to which Virtue rolled her eyes. "Okay, yes, damn. We're here on a date, but only because I figured it would help you cheer up and be more open."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Raven demanded.
"You held back at The Attic," Virtue pointed out. "I could tell. You said it didn't matter that you were Pride, but I could tell it did. I could also tell from your friends that it was the first they'd heard which sin you represented. Canary in particular was kind of surprised. Now, why would that be, exactly?"
Rachel grumbled at the mere fact that this girl was able to read her so easily. "...I REALLY hate you."
Holly took another spoonful of her sundae before replying, "No, you don't."
Dinah groaned as she steered her motorcycle out of her garage and onto the streets. Not long after Virtue and Raven had left to do their own thing, the others decided to head back for their own homes. But now Oracle had contacted them to let them know about a car hauler that had been hijacked and was causing a MAJOR disturbance down-town.
And right when I was gonna sit back and enjoy an evening of getting caught up on Doctor Who, Black Canary thought bitterly.
Speeding along the road, Dinah eventually spotted the target ahead. As she did, she found herself joined by another motorcycle: A sleek, sexy, crimson bike with a side-car, Batwoman driving and Huntress riding. The blonde fighter gave the Dark Knightess a look that told her she would have a certain finger erect at this point if she wasn't more concerned with steering.
"Envious much?" Hel suggested, sitting comfy in the side-car.
"Just because she LOOKS prettier doesn't mean she handles better," Black Canary shot back. "Strategy?"
"We need to get ahead of the hauler and either retake it or shut down its engine," Batwoman explained.
"Got'cha," Dinah replied. "Last one to beat the bad guys is buying drinks for the winner!"
Before Kate or Helena could argue, Canary sped her bike ahead of them, headed for the car hauler. Now, normally Batwoman was above such childish games as comparing who had the better gadget, costume, clothes, or car. However, the one thing she would not stand for was letting someone try to say they had a better motorcycle.
"Tighten your seatbelt!" she advised Helena, speeding up to chase after Black Canary.
Raven looked down at her sundae. It felt like an hour passed as she thought about what to do or say. Finally, sick of being quiet, and feeling her stomach gurgle slightly at the sight of the sundae, she took a few spoonfuls of the ice cream before wiping her face, staring into Virtue's eyes.
"You wanna know why?" Rachel asked. "Okay, the truth then: I've never ONCE felt proud of myself and what I was doing working for my father. I knew for years that what he was doing was sick and wrong, but I kept my mouth shut out of fear as he pillaged and conquered the Under-Realms. I only put my foot down when he started targeting Earth because that's where my mother came from. It was selfish and far past the point when I SHOULD have said or done something. And now, even when I'm trying to stop him, I can't feel proud of myself, because I'm ASHAMED of myself."
Finally having let it out, Raven just kicked at the seat next to Holly and leaned back in her own. She honestly felt like crying right there, and didn't give a damn who saw. Between this and what had happened with Freddie, she was emotionally worn out and just wanted to make it all go away. Instead, she just stared ahead at Virtue, who looked on sympathetically.
"Human beings CAN be selfish sometimes, Rachel," Holly said. "We can be selfish and stupid. But we can also be kind and giving. I don't care what your reason for crossing over to stop Trigon was in the first place, because I can tell you now, you're currently doing it to help your friends. I can tell, you're a good person."
Rachel just scoffed sadly. "You don't know me."
"I KNOW you," Virtue insisted as she leaned in closer. "I know how depressed you've been, it's all over you. I know how ashamed you feel, of yourself, of your heritage, of your body-"
Raven blushed a little, backing up in her seat. "Wh-Wha-What are you talking-"
"Your body is giving off an odd mix of male and female hormones," Holly whispered. "And while I might not know exactly how evident it is, I do know something happened recently to make you feel really, REALLY ashamed of your body, and I also know that it shouldn't even touch the sort of person you are."
If Rachel had blushed any brighter red at that point, she could've been mistaken for the cherry on her sundae. "...People keep saying that. It's really sweet, and I get what they...what YOU mean. But I still feel really bad about it. Like, ugly bad."
"And that's one other thing that's holding you back," Virtue noted. "Which means it's another thing you're going to have to get over."
Raven squirmed a little. "I don't know how."
"Would it help if I told you I meant what I said back at your apartment?" Holly offered, and at this point, Raven's embarrassment made her too adorable for words.
"I may have some empathic abilities too, but I'm not as good with the lie detector thing," Rachel admitted. "How do I know I can trust that you mean that?"
Virtue thought for a moment before a very slow, very devious smile began to form. "What if I overloaded you with emotion, to the point where you could read me with ease? Would you be able to tell that I was telling the truth then?"
Raven blinked, confused. "...How?"
Racing along, catching up to the car hauler, Black Canary steered alongside of it. However, in a move she should've seen coming, the two men in the front had plenty of buddies occupying the cars on the hauler. They quickly opened fire on her as she managed to dig her sansetsukon out, deflecting the bullets with wild swings. She knew, though, that it was only a matter of time before one of them got a lucky shot in, as did her team-mates, who pulled up along the other side of the hauler.
"Finally, somebody needs their ass saved, and it isn't me!" Huntress declared triumphantly. "What's the plan?"
Batwoman smirked. "Take them down, I'll stop the hauler."
Before Helena could ask, Kate hit a switch on the bike. Knowing exactly which switch that was, Huntress had just enough time to brace herself as her seat-belt came undone and she was launched out of her seat, flying through the air. Arming her crossbow, she fired an arrow with a line on it at one of the cars, managing to land on the hauler. Once on-board, she was able to start knocking out the shooters one by one with well placed kicks to the skull. As she did, Black Canary and Batwoman sped ahead, reaching the front of the hauler. However, as they did so, they realised there was no one driving, the wheel affixed to some sort of device.
"The hell?" Canary cursed, putting a finger to her ear. "Bats, you seeing this?"
"That device is steering the hauler," Batwoman replied over the comm. "Oracle, are you picking up a signal from it?"
"I am now," Babs answered as the hauler approached a hill, "but I can't trace it. Whoever did this is good."
"We'll just have to do this the hard way, then," the Dark Knightess muttered. "I figure we can either find some way to force it off-road, or disable the device, or-"
As Batwoman went through the options, Huntress suddenly leaped off and over the top of the hauler, firing a trick arrow at the engine. It released a small, localised EMP that shut the engine off, leaving it without the necessary momentum to make it up the hill. It came to a stop halfway up it, Batwoman managing to keep it from coasting back down with adhesive gel Batarangs to the wheels. Looking across the hauler, Black Canary found all off the men on-board knocked out. She then cast her eyes upward at Huntress, who was sitting with her feet dangling off a flagpole hanging horizontally off a building.
"Looks like BOTH of you guys are buying ME drinks," Hel pointed out in a sing-song voice.
Dinah scowled at her friend/rival, realising her night had gone from a Doctor Who marathon to being shot at and owing Helena drinks at a bar. Still, she realised with a shrug, it had been one hell of an evening, and she couldn't help but feel bad for Raven, who had missed out on all the fun this evening.
Rachel gasped as Holly pushed her down onto the bed, the latter immediately mounting her. The blue haired girl was about to ask just what the hell was going on, but was silenced by a pair of lips connecting with her own, and all the half-demon could do at this point was let her eyes widen and feel a bliss-like state she'd never experienced before. Sure, she'd kissed people, but not like this, as Virtue felt different. Better in every way.
After what felt like an eternity, the two broke the kiss. Rachel almost whined in disappointment, something that surprised her, only to find Holly immedately pulling her own shirt off, revealing her bra-less chest for her new 'friend'. The sight of this stunned Rach, giving Holly the chance to pull the girl's own shirt and bra up and over her chest. She then leaned forward, pressing their breasts together, their nipples circling each other, their hearts beating against one another, and it was enough to blow Raven's mind, along with the lightbulb in the lamp next to them, which had been encased and crushed with black energy.
"The fuck?!" Holly demanded.
"S-Sorry!" Rachel cried, blushing deeply. "That was me! I can get kinda-"
"I can deal," Holly cut her off, pressing her lips back to Rach's. Her legs wrapped around the blue haired girl, and the friction between their lips, chests, and laps was more than enough to make Rachel go EXTREMELY hard, something that did not go unnoticed by her partner.
"Enjoying yourself?" Holly asked between kisses, running her hands all over Rachel's body.
"Maybe...!" Rach admitted, her hips moving up to meet Virtue's vigorously.
"Here, lemme make you more comfy," Holly offered, undoing Rachel's pants and sliding them and her panties down to her knees. What Virtue saw made her want to drool: The most glorious cock she'd ever seen, standing at attention over the most beautiful pussy she'd ever laid eyes on. She just stared, frozen in shock at the sight.
"Stop looking!" Raven whined, her face now beet red. "It's embarrassing!"
"I'm sorry, just...WOW!" Holly exclaimed. "Whoever the asshole was that ran out on you is a fucking IDIOT to give all this up!"
Before Rachel could say anything, feeling both a little touched and embarrassed like never before, Holly's fingers gently wrapped themselves around her cock, causing Raven to let out a small cry. It didn't take long for it to grow much louder, though, as Virtue quickly began to stroke it. Rachel's eyes rolled into the back of her head as she took it, not seeing her Twilight Sparkle doll flying across the room.
"Does that feel good?" Holly asked softly, getting an emphatic nod. With a smirk, she decided to make the best of everything present to work with, as she softly ran the tip of her tongue across Rachel's pussylips, causing Rach to give another shrill cry, her legs wrapping around Holly as her tongue went deeper.
"Oh my God!" Raven cried, digging her nails into the bedding. "DO NOT STOP! You are so fucking hot right now!"
Virtue giggled, feeling her body turn slightly indigo for a moment. Deciding to get a bit more bold, she switched roles between her hand and her mouth, fingering Rachel's pussy gently while sucking off her cock. This proved too much for Rachel, who slammed the doors to the bedroom and the closet shut before cumming hard. Holly managed to gulp some of it down, despite her surprise, but had to pull away, causing the rest to splash across her face and chest.
"Yikes!" Holly yelled. "You came all over!"
"I-I-I'm sorry, I-" Rachel stammered.
"Wow, and you're still so hard," Virtue observed, giving small strokes to Rachel's cock. Deciding to go for broke, Holly peeled the rest of her clothes off, straddling Raven naked as the day she was born.
"W-Wait, I don't have any condoms!" Raven cried. "I could-"
"You can't get me pregnant, trust me," Holly insisted. "Also, I'm not carrying anything, and it's most certainly NOT my first time. Any other objections?"
Rachel blushed deeper than she had all day, possibly all her life. "I-I dunno if we should be-"
"You wanted to know," Virtue pointed out, hovering her bare pussy just over Raven's cock. "Not to mention, you SERIOUSLY need to let loose some of that pent up emotion."
"But my powers are controlled by my emotions," Rachel countered.
"Yeah, noticed that when you taught Twilight Sparkle how to fly without her alicorn wings," Holly noted. "But keeping them pent up won't do any good either. In fact, you make it even more likely you'll make a mistake. I'll tell you what, though: If you can tell me you do not want to do this, even a little bit, I will get off and we can forget the whole thing. Your call."
Raven gulped, and for a few moments, there was silence. Finally, unable to bear it, and actually feeling Holly drip down on her, she gripped the sides of the bed, grabbed hold of Virtue's hips telekinetically, and thrust straight up into her, groaning at the feeling as she fit inside just perfectly. Holly cried out in surprise, but began thrusting back along with Rachel, playing with her breasts as she went along, getting as much stimulation out of this as she possibly could.
Meanwhile, Raven was practically in heaven, and didn't care that the nearby hamper was getting juggled about. Feeling herself well up again, she reached up and wrapped her arms around Holly, kissing her hard. At this point, Virtue's body began to glow indigo again, and Rachel could suddenly feel the full power of Holly's emotions.
She wasn't lying, Rachel realised as the emotions overwhelmed her. I really AM a lot cuter than she thought I'd be.
With this thought in mind, Raven let go of everything, ramming her cock as deep and as hard into Holly as she could while keeping a deathgrip on her. This was more than enough to push Virtue over the edge, as she came shamelessly on Rachel's cock with a roar. Rach likewise came a mere second later, causing the mattress to float up a couple of feet before falling back down onto the bed.
Rachel panted hard, collapsing as her hair went everywhere. Managing to get some energy flowing in her arm, she reached up and wiped the sweat from her forehead. Her clothes clung to her uncomfortably, but she didn't care nearly as much as she normally would have, given everything else going on. It didn't help her to regain her proper breathing as she felt the figure sharing Dinah's bed with her nuzzle up against her body, leaving small pecks across her arm and neck.
"So, was that good enough?" Holly asked, likewise panting and sweating in the aftermath of what they'd just done.
"...Yeah, yeah, that'll do," Rachel replied honestly.
"Are you sure?" Holly pressed. "Because I think I should do it again, just so you're 100% sure."
Rach looked Holly in her eye before letting out a laugh. "I REALLY hate you, Virtue."
"No, you REALLY don't," Holly corrected before planting a deep kiss on her new 'friend'.
AUTHOR'S NOTES: So, I should probably explain something for those unaware. Originally, this chapter was posted on its own to AFFN as part of an experiment, just in case any readers were curious as to what exactly happened between Raven and Virtue that I couldn't show on FFN. However, a comment suggested that I might as well just post the whole story here, and thus, here we are. Also, for anyone curious, Raven and Virtue are in the 17-18 range.
Anyway, I decided to tweak Virtue a tad. She's a bit more playful and devious in her personality, and she can also sense hormones. Actually, I'm not sure if she could already do that or not after something that happened in The Movement. Her powers are kinda weird and difficult to understand like that. I will say that she IS the inventor of ice cream diplomacy, which seems to be a tried and true method of getting through to someone, and feels like the kind of thing countries should do to come to agreements and end wars. Also, like Zatanna, she is not an official member of the Birds of Prey at this time in this fic, and will instead be dropping in occasionally.
Check in next time as the next of the Sons of Trigon step up to take on the group with some potentially terrible repercussions. Ja né!
