A Mother's Work
Chapter Ten
The next morning, Martha Kent was stickier than she had ever been in her life. Sorer too. But it had been worth it. It had. It was probably the most beautiful night of her life, aside from her wedding night. She had helped her son, was rewarded, and then some. Martha Kent got up out of bed and went for the longest shower any human being had ever had in the history of showers. She went back in to the bedroom to wake up Clark when she noticed the torn panties in the corner. “Oh darn it!” she thought. “Those were expensive! Ah, well, you gotta break a few eggs I suppose.” She managed to wake up Clark up. “Hey, Ma.” he whispered. “What’s for breakfast?” same old Clark.
And that was it. Never happened again, Martha never offered, Clark never asked and things went back to normal. Clark’s grades went up, he started hanging out with his friends more, even summoned up the courage to ask Lana out on a real date. Jonathan’s brother Matthew? Made a miraculous recovery, so Jon came back to Smallville where he and Martha are still together. He eventually found out what happened, inevitable really. But it turns out that Kryptonians weren’t the only ones that liked to keep it in the family. Talk about an understanding parent. So in the end, in spite of it all, things turned out okay. Martha had been genuinely worried that this experience would have warped Clark, like it would have any other boy. But then again, Clark Kent was never like other boys.

Author's note: Ugh, that was terrible, wasn't it? Broke up the chapters too much, probably lots of spelling/grammar errors. Not to mention the subject matter, and the total cop-out of an ending. Well, it was my first finished story, ever, after constant writer's block. So please, have mercy on me!
