Chapter Eleven: Home Sick
Andrea woke up much earlier than she normally did, which wasn’t a surprise to her. Sometimes – though thank the almighty not very often – she found herself waking up long before she actually needed to be up for the day and was unable to get back to sleep. This morning was one of those mornings.
She opened her eyes and stared out the balcony door at the two inches of fluff that had accumulated over the course of the evening. A memory of stepping out into the North Dakota evening to run to the grocery store and seeing her neighbors houses lit up with Christmas lights, their festive trees easy to see through massive picture windows, quickly came to mind and she felt the pang of homesickness strike deep. Her family would have decorated their carefully chosen tree by now – her sister and brother arguing over the lighting situation that their father had eagerly handed over to them once they were old enough. There would be a million presents for Sammy as there usually always was. There would be drinks – whiskey diets for her and her mom, beer for her brother and sister and O’dules for her father.
She sighed softly and turned around to force the home sickness into submission. Her eyes landed on Raph, sleeping peacefully and she smiled. So, waking up next to your dream come true really made that whole home sick obsolete…at least for the time being. Behind him, the bedside clock read 6 a.m. so she let him continue sleeping and slipped from the bed, grabbing her terrycloth robe from the foot of the bed and shrugging it on. She peeked in on Sammy, her content smile widening slightly when she saw the little angel tucked into bed and sleeping just as soundly as Raph. He must have taken her to her room last night because she sure didn’t remember doing it. The way he handled her little bundle of joy never ceased to amaze her. He was doing far more than she was used to even wishing for when Sammy was younger and she never had to ask him for any of it. He just did it.
Padding out of the room, she made her way to the kitchen. Coffee was the first thing on the agenda. It always was on these early morning episodes. She moved through the chore of preparing it quickly, impatient to have a healthy dose of caffeine rushing throughout her system. She turned on the tap, grabbed the pot, put it under the stream of water as she reached up into the cupboard next to the sink and grabbed the filters. Dropping the filter into the coffee maker, she flicked the tap off as she passed it on her way to the wall of coffee containers to her left. She looked over the selection briefly before settling on an Irish morning blend Christy had left with them.
The smell hit her before it even started percolating and she pulled a mug down, setting it on the counter before she leaned over it and waited as patiently as possible. Figuring on being alone for a few hours until the others were awake, she nearly jumped out of her skin when a pair of hands settled on her waist.
“Jesus, Raph!” she hissed, her heart fluttering madly from the combination of her sudden leap of fear and from the nervous joy that always filled her whenever she was near him.
He chuckled and his arms came around her, pulling her back to him. “Sorry. What are you doin’ up so early, babe?”
She shrugged, making herself right at home in his embrace. For years it had been the placed she longed to be. Now that she was there, she didn’t want to be anywhere else. “I have the occasional, unintentional early morning.” A smirk quickly curved her lips as she added, “Probably helped that I had an early, sex free night.”
“That’s a shame,” Raph murmured. He moved one arm from around her to grab himself a mug and set it on the counter next to her. “All my brothers gettin’ laid and me…puttin’ the baby to bed and tuckin’ mom in.”
“Yeah, it was so horrible you didn’t get laid last night. Because it’s not like we didn’t spend half the day…wait…did you just say all your brothers?”
“Yup.” Raph pulled away from her, much to her disappointment, and filled both of their mugs, handing her one. “Leo finally came to his senses last night after Splinter talked to us.”
Andrea wrapped both hands around her coffee cup in attempts to ward off the sudden chill that had overcome her when Raph had stopped holding her. “How’d that go, by the way?” she asked before taking a careful sip and moaning softly as the liquid gold burned its way down her throat.
Watching her intently, he shrugged his powerful shoulders. “Went okay. Just kind of a whole…I’m happy for you, go on and live your lives the way you want to kinda thing. So, here we are.” He set his coffee cup aside and reached out for Andrea, snagging the ends of the terry cloth rope that were doing nothing to keep her robe shut and pulling her to him. “Gotta tell ya babe…not much beats wakin’ up to a beautiful woman and coffee. I could get used to this pretty damn quick.”
“So why don’t you?” she asked softly, uncertainly. She might have been going too far with how fast she was moving along, but they were approaching a deadline here and the looming “D day” was making her nervous.
He gave her a confused look and she quickly and quite nervously elaborated. “Get used to it, Raph. Being in New York is a vacation for me…one that lasts until New Years. Spending every single morning waking up to you would make it the ideal vacation.”
He seemed only slightly taken aback by what she was suggesting. “So…you want me to move in?”
“Well…yeah. I guess that’s what I’m saying. The more anxious sounding version of that goes a little something like…don’t leave me,” she said with a small laugh. “But yeah, let’s go with the moving in thing. Makes me sound less desperate.”
Raph laughed quietly, wrapping his arms around her waist. “Be glad to babe.” He lowered his mouth to hers, the laughter dying away quickly when her soft lips brushed his. “You know what else I’d be glad to do?”
“Mmm, please say me,” she purred, running her hands up his strong arms and around his neck as her tongue played slowly with his.
“That’s exactly what I was gonna say. Think we got time?” he asked, lifting her and setting her on the counter before impatiently shoving her robe away from her legs and moving closer to the heat that beckoned him.
“We should. It’s a safe bet those guys are all going to be sleeping for a while.” She helped him get her out of her shorts, shifting her hips to the edge of the counter, laughing when he realized that he had to move to get them all the way down her legs and threw out a string of muttered curses. Once he’d thrown the offending clothing aside, she wrapped her legs around him and yanked him back to her with them, cupping his face in her hands and kissing him deeply.
His tongue brushed hers and she shivered. She didn’t know if she was ever going to get used to this. Years and years of longing for something and then suddenly having it – it was hard to wrap her head around the whole idea.
He circled a strong arm around her waist, pulling her closer still and she draped her arms tightly around his neck. Just being held by him was a turn on - feeling those muscular arms around her, the power of his being between her legs. He moved from her mouth to her neck and she closed her eyes, tilting her head to give him better access and gasping softly as his teeth grazed a particularly sensitive bit of flesh.
Reaching down, Andrea freed him, her hands massaging his length. He groaned, leaning against her, his previous actions forgotten as he gave himself over to the pleasure she was giving him. She turned her face into his neck, her tongue traveling the length it in one sensuously slow stroke, tasting the salty sweetness of his skin. His rasping breath was like music, driving her over the edge of simple anxiousness to heat-driven lust. She lightly scraped her nails over his length and his entire body shuddered.
He wasn’t able to be patient, to sit and wait for her to finish pleasing him. She knew he never would be the type to wait for her to decide if she was done when it came to foreplay. And being that his impatience usually involved his own pleasure being put on hold so that he could tease and torment her, she was more than happy to let him have his way.
Her breath caught as he drug one thick finger over her slick heat, toying with her before forcefully driving it inside her. She gripped his shoulders, her fingers digging into the flesh as she dropped her head back and cried out softly. She was still quit tender from yesterday.
As he worked his finger in and out of her, he trailed hot, biting kisses from her neck down to her collar bone. Her tank-top was in the way but it never stopped him. He bit her nipple through the cloth, hard enough to cause her entire body to go ridged and force an enraptured groan from deep within her.
Biting her bottom lip, trying to hold back the screams building in her throat, Andrea gripped the sink ledge, her nails doing far less damage to the steel siding than they’d done to him. She was lost, lost to everything he was doing to her. Everything, that is, up until he stopped tormenting her with his finger and pulled her hips close to his, entering her in an agonizingly slow thrust. The difference was extremely noticeable and she couldn’t help going tense in his arms as every thick inch of him rubbed against her still aching flesh.
He stilled and she looked up, her gaze meeting his. There was an unspoken question in those fathomless depths. Are you okay? Andrea nodded but the movement was mechanic and even she had a hard time buying it. What was she supposed to say to him? You’re so huge and you did such a number on me yesterday that any attempts to walk I had to put conscious effort into?
Opting not to say anything, she pulled him close and ran the tip of her tongue over his lips, flicking his top lip gently by curling her tongue upwards. His breath hitched and his hands tightened on her hips. She had him. He was beyond caring now if she was hurting. She wouldn’t be for long though. She lifted a hand, cupping the side of his face and brushing her fingertips over his cheek. His eyes, now ablaze with need, remained fixed on hers as they kissed languidly, lips and tongues teasing each others as she slowly reacquainted herself with his length.
Raph wasn’t an idiot. He knew what had caused that sudden stiffness in his lover. She was still sore from yesterday. Instead of feeling fully arrogant that he’d done that much of a number on her, he was humbled. She wanted him badly enough to push past the pain. Maybe what Master Splinter had said about her loving him was completely true.
He released her hips, wrapping his arms around her and resting his head against the curve of her neck, deeply inhaling the scent of her shampoo and arousal. He felt her forehead fall to his shoulder, her thick hair brushing his bicep, her hot breath against his cool skin and he smiled. This was a lot different from every wildly insane time they’d come together yesterday. This was…slow and almost more intimate. He liked it.
They moved together in a leisurely, unrushed rhythm, hand, lips and tongues exploring muscle contours, finding new little spots that caused purrs and growls of pleasure.
Andrea though, very briefly that she would never reach her peak at this rate and that they could probably have sex for countless, bliss filled hours. Unfortunately, they were running out of time. There would always be later. “Raph,” she implored softly, swiveling her hips in a way meant to slip up his control.
“Mm, sorry…forgot we weren’t alone here,” he said harshly. His hands traveled the length of her back, up, then back down until they rested on her hips again. He lowered his head to her neck, biting the sensitive flesh as he gripped and pulled her forward, increasing his tempo only enough to start slowly driving both of them mad.
Andrea’s back arched and she moaned low and long, wrapping one arm around his neck as her hand returned to the sink, gripping it for leverage. She pushed her hips to meet his over and over. His hand went from her hip to her leg, running in one smooth caress from the top of her thigh down to her calf before lifting it and pushing himself deeper into her. She encouraged him in breathy whispers, driving him on, taking in everything he was giving her and loving it.
When she came, it wasn’t hard and forceful. Her release moved over her slowly, starting from her loins and working outward and it lasted for what seemed like forever. She cried her lovers name softly and he thrust once more before coming deep inside of her. His body, his wonderfully powerful body that she would never tire of looking at, shuddered and he groaned against her neck. Andrea held him to her, relishing the feel of the man she loved, the only man she had ever truly loved.
“You okay there, tough guy?” she asked softly minutes after his body had went still and he caught his breath.
He lifted his head and grinned at her. “You coulda told me you were still hurtin’ babe.”
She laughed softly and shook her head. “Sorry. Didn’t want to be stroking the fires of some unknown ego lurking in the depths of my perfect lover.”
He opened his mouth to say something when a tired, yet cheerful voice broke through the euphoric haze surrounding them. Raph quickly grabbed the edges of her robe and pulled them together enough to hide the obvious.
“Hey, didn’t expect anyone else to be up this early,” Catey said, shuffling into the kitchen in her black sweatpants and plain white t-shirt.
Andrea tried to smile back at her friend, her nerves jumping erratically. “Hey Catey. Sleep well.”
“You bet your ass I did. Drained poor Mikey though. I doubt he’ll be up before noon.”
Andrea and Raph forced laughs that they hoped didn’t sound to nervous. Andrea exchanged a quick look with him and he helped her slid off the counter, keeping the robe closed around her and making sure there was no way Catey would guess what they had been up to.
“I’m going to go check on Sammy. I’ll be right back.” She went up on her tiptoes and kissed Raph, saying softly enough so that only he heard, “You’re amazing. That’s why I didn’t stop you.”
He grinned and watched her leave. He’d never tire of watching those hips.
“Hey Drea,” Catey sang out.
Andrea turned and gave her friend a questioning look.
“You forgot your shorts sweetie,” she said with a knowing grin, pointing to the floor beside Raph where her shorts lay in a crumpled heap. “And here I thought I was the only one into having sex anywhere and everywhere.”
Andrea rolled her eyes and laughed out loud when she heard Raph start in on Catey with a “Jesus Christ.”
*~*~*~*~*~*
Kris awoke to the feel of a strong arm tightening around her and pressing her back against an equally strong and hard chest. She hummed softly and snuggled against the source. “Please, please tell me I’m not dreaming,” she murmured.
Leo’s deep chuckled met her ears and she shivered, stifling a blissful sigh. “You’re not. But-.” He rolled her over to face him, sliding one leg between hers and running a hand slowly up her ribcage. “If you need a reminder…” he trailed off, his golden eyes alight with suggestion.
“Oh, I think I just might. I might actually need a very,” she kissed him once, slowly, “very,” and again, “thorough reminder.”
“I think I can provide that.” Leo growled softly when the scent of her arousal hit him and lowered his head to her throat, nibbling along the sweet, tender flesh. The swells of her perfect breasts, hidden beneath the sheets, beckoned him. He brushed the sheets aside and cupped one breast gently, memorizing the feel of her skin against his rough palm. She smelled deliciously of cocoa butter - his exotic Hawaiian. It was driving him crazy all over again.
“So Leo,” she purred softly. “Can I ask you something?”
“Anything Kris.” He continued to kiss his way down her throat and over her collar bone.
She grabbed his head, stopping his process and forcing his gaze to meet hers. “This is going to sound kind of strange since we’ve only known each other for a few days…but what took you so long?”
Leo sighed, then braced himself on an elbow and leaned over her, resting his forehead against hers. “I’m stupid,” he said simply.
Kris couldn’t help laughing. “That’s it, huh?”
“Yeah. That’s it. At first I was convinced that it was all honor related. But…but after talking to Raph last night I kind of figured out that it was something else entirely.”
“And that is?”
He lowered his gaze for a second. He didn’t know how he was going to say this. It had been hard enough just admitting the truth to himself. But when he looked back at her, at those beautiful dark eyes that so easily held him captivated, he found that telling her the truth was a lot easier than he had thought it would be. “I was scared, Kris. I’m used to having the affections of my brothers, April, Casey. That’s all I’m used to. There hasn’t been one time that I can remember that I’ve rescued a woman and she’s actually stuck around to find out who I am. Then you come along…you’re not scared, you’re not timid by any means,” he grinned when she laughed at that comment. “It was hard for me to get used to the fact that a beautiful woman might want more than just a rescue from me.”
Kris’s felt sadness well in her heart. How horrible it must have been to live a life vacant of any form of love but the love of family - to want a woman’s touch and never get it. The loneliness he must have felt, that they all must have felt-.
“Come here,” she murmured softly, wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him to her. His mouth covered hers, moved with it, his tongue brushing erotically against hers and Kris shivered, clinging to him. For one wild moment, she wanted to tell him the truth. She wanted to tell him everything – how they knew them, how they’d come to be in this place, how much she’d longed for him over the years – but she couldn’t. If there was any chance that coming clean would land them right back in their dimension where the guys only existed in movies and cartoons, she didn’t want to take that chance.
She wrapped one leg around his waist and he groaned, taking his lips from hers. “Kris,” he murmured softly, brushing her hair out of her eyes, “Ah, Kris….you are amazing. Thank you for being patient with me.”
She smiled and shrugged. “Eh, I figured you’d make it up to me.”
“I will,” he vowed, his hand gripping her breast and drawing a soft sigh of pleasure from her. “Over and over again. Starting right now.”
He rolled her nipple with his finger and thumb, smiling deviously as he watched her head drop back to the pillows and her full lips open with a wordless cry. What else could he do to make her react like that? He let his fingers travel the length of her torso, dragging his finger tips over her ribs, across her stomach, to the apex of her thighs. Without actually delving between her legs to the sweetness that awaited, he could feel the heat radiating from her. “I do this to you?” he said in awe.
“Mhmm,” she hummed, watching him through heavy lidded eyes. “Without even trying, you do that to me.”
He groaned and lowered his mouth, kissing the inside of each thigh. With a mewling sound of excitement, Kris let her legs fall apart and he took the offering, greedily closing his mouth around her heat and drinking in the taste of her essence. She drew one knee up, the one he wasn’t currently rested over, and lifted the opposite hand to caress his head and shoulders. She watched him until the pleasure became too overwhelming, her eyes fluttering close as her breath started leaving her in tiny, gasping breaths.
He drew her out, taking his time, loving the taste of her on his tongue, the feel of her soft fingers on his shoulder, the soft creamy skin of her thigh pressing against him. He loved her. He knew it. He knew it when she forgave him for being such a prick to her. He’d be crazy not to love a woman who could forgive him for what he’d done and still want to be with him. But he wouldn’t say anything. He couldn’t. Admitting he’d been stupid was one thing…admitting he’d lost his heart to her after only a few days would be something entirely different.
He continued ravaging her with his tongue and teeth until he knew she was staring just over the edge of oblivion. Then, ignoring her disappointed cry, he ran the tip of his tongue from her navel to her jaw line. He was so hard that it was painful to wait any longer to take her. She was a drug to him – something he craved, something he needed desperately. Something he had needed all his life.
“I need you Kris,” he admitted harshly. “I think I’ve always needed you.”
“Sorry it took me so long to get here,” she said, a grin in her voice. “But I’m here now. And I need you too, Leonardo.”
“You have me.” He looked down at her, brushing her hair out of her gorgeous eyes and kissing her softly. “You will always have me.”
She went perfectly still, her eyes widening as she stared up at him. “Always? Leo-.”
A few days all of a sudden didn’t matter. Why the hell had he thought it did in the first place? “Kris,” her name was a whisper across her lips as he kissed her. “I love you baby.”
“Oooh my God,” she breathed, her hands starting to tremble slightly where they rested on his shoulders. Shoulders she’d dreamed of so often. Shoulders, arms, chest…all of him. She’d dreamed that he loved her. But she’d never expected him to actually fall for her so quickly.
“You don’t have to feel obligated to say it back,” Leo said quickly – softly. There was an underlying fear in his tone, though he tried hard to hide it. “I just…I couldn’t stop myself from telling you.”
“No, no, no…I do Leo.” She lifted a hand to his face, half framing it in her soft grasp. “I do. I just…I hope you know what you’re getting yourself into here. I hope you’re only saying if you mean it because…because if you do, I want all of you. Not just a little bit, not just a small chunk of your heart. I want it all. If that’s the kind of love we’re talking…I’ll give you all of me. Everything I am…heart, soul, spirit…it would be yours and you would never be able to get rid of me.”
He nuzzled her nose softly, feeling his throat close up with emotion. “I don’t want to be rid of you…ever,” he said softly, with great conviction. “I love you with everything I have.”
Kris nodded, murmuring softly, “Then you’ve got me.” He’d given her more than she could possibly ask for. He’d made up for every little snag they’d hit since being introduced. Without saying a word, she reached down and gently tugged him free, then guided him to her entrance which was aching so much for him right now.
He slid into her to the hilt slowly, savoring every moment – savoring the difference there was now that love had been allowed in, her soft sigh, the way her hands gripped him, pulling him closer, her legs wrapping so tightly around him, the exotic musk of her arousal mixed with the cocoa butter lotion she wore. There could be no more perfect moment then this. There was nothing better than knowing this island goddess was his, all his.
She had meant what she said about giving him all of her – she came alive in his arms, holding nothing back. They clung to each other, moving as one, the very air around them sizzling. Kris pressed her mouth to his neck, tasting the sweat clinging to his skin, moaning as he drove deeper into her still. She was almost sure he wasn’t going to stop until he’d melded his soul with hers and she was perfectly fine with that.
His arm stole around her waist, shifting her hips and she cried out as new heights of pleasure exploded behind her eyes. She pressed her shoulders into the bed, tears streamed down her face as her lover drove into her, made her no one else’s but his. His head fell to her chest, his hot breath caressing her sweat slickened skin. He closed his mouth around one nipple, teasing it mercilessly and it was far more than she could take.
Rationality kicked in long enough for her to grab the pillow beside her, the pillow that carried his scent and she turned her head, pressing her face into it as she screamed from the power of her release. Her body shuddered uncontrollably; her shoulders trembled from the sobs of happiness she was unable to stop.
“Aw Kris, don’t cry,” Leo managed, trying to catch his breath as well. He laid down next to her, pulling her to him. “Please baby, don’t cry.”
She shook her head against his chest, one hand reaching up and curling around his neck. He had no idea what this meant to her, how long she had waited for this…and how horrible she felt for keeping her secret from him. You don’t want this to stop though. You can’t risk losing him.
“I love you, Leonardo.” She looked up at him. “I really do.”
His hands combed through her damp hair before he lowered his mouth to hers and kissed her softly. “I love you too Kris.”
He held her close a moment longer, until she’d managed to gain some control of her emotions. Once she had, she slipped right back to her comfort zone. “I’m starving.”
Leo laughed softly and dropped a quick kiss to her forehead. “Well, everyone else was up quite a while ago so I’m willing to bet there’s food on the other side of that door.”
“Well, what the hell are we waiting for? Let’s get me fed!”
They got ready slowly, contradictory to Kris’s voiced urgency for food. Leo sat on the edge of the bed watching her get ready, his eyes roaming hungrily over her luscious curves, her dark skin, the untidy hair she attempted to fix every now and then as she dug through her closet for something to wear. Once she’d settled on a pair of jeans, a blue long sleeved sweater and given up all together on her hair, pulling it back to get it out of her face, she turned to see Leo looking at her and gave him a little uncertain grin. “What?”
“Get over here. I needed a kiss like three minutes ago.”
“So impatient,” she teased, strutting over to him and letting him pull her down into his lap, her legs straddling his waist. “I love it.”
He kissed her once, a teasing brush of the lips. “I bet you do.” Then he pulled her down, slanting his mouth over hers hungrily.
“Okay, seriously…I’m starving, Leo.” She laughed and pulled free of his embrace. “Later…and not much later. I’m not going to take it easy on you.”
“Thank God for that.” He grinned and followed her out, running into her when she suddenly came to a dead stop. “Kris, what-?”
It was then that he saw them – all of his brothers and their girlfriends standing by the couch in the living room, staring at them. There was a moment of silence where both Kris and Leo wondered wildly if anyone had heard what they were up to, then their silent questioning was answered as the group broke into wild applause and cheering.
Kris dropped her head to her hand, groaning softly and Leo glared at his brothers. He was going to personally pound on all of them later for this one.
“Um, I would just like to point out that I am not, in any way, shape or form, applauding this situation!” Andrea called out from the kitchen where she was holding Sammy.
Kris went to her, where it was obviously safer than going into the living room. “Noted. But I would have expected it from you.”
Andrea gave her a cocky grin. “I know. I was too busy explaining to Sammy why everyone was waiting and now why everyone is clapping.”
Kris turned to face the offending group. “Kitty, Mikey…you two can knock it off right now. I don’t think you need me directly quoting some of the things you said to ‘sweet ass’ yesterday. And Raph…” she turned his glare on him and he immediately crossed his arms over his chest, trying desperately to keep a straight face. “I really don’t think you want your brothers knowing half of the ridiculously dirty things you said to Drea.”
“Um, Drea doesn’t want his brothers knowing half the dirty things he said to me,” Andrea said quickly, her blue eyes wide. “Come on Kris, we’re just happy for ya babe.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Kris rolled her eyes but had a hard time keeping her lips from quirking up at the edges. “You brats owe me breakfast.”
“Sit down, hun. I got ya.”
Kris joined Leo at the dining room and everyone else joined them, grinning like fools.
“So, Kris…it would be a safe say then that you got lucky?” Catey giggled.
“Why yes, Kitty, yes it would,” she said smugly. “It would also be safe to say that if we don’t change the subject, I’m going to beat that little butt of yours.”
“Got it!” Catey chirped. “So, new subject, new subject. You guys totally know Christmas is coming up, right? And we have zero…count ‘em, zero presents for anyone. I think we need to remedy that.”
Snagging a piece of cantaloupe off the plate Andrea had just set down on the table, Christy gave her youngest friend a shrewd look. “You know, Kitty, there’s more to Christmas than just presents.”
Catey stuck her tongue out at the lovely red head. “I know. There’s also rum!! Drea can make us some of those wicked Tom and Jerry’s her grandpa taught her how to make. Oh, and FYI guys, good presents for me come in the form of Jim, Jack and Jose.”
“I thought you weren’t on speaking terms with Jack after last Halloween?” Andrea asked, setting a platter stacked with French toast and bacon in the middle of the table and quickly getting out of the way of the feeding frenzy.
Just thinking of that night and the morning after was enough to make Catey go impossibly pale. “Oh, thanks for reminding me of that nightmare. Quick change to Christmas lists, please scratch Jack off.”
Beside her, Mikey slapped his hand down on the table and doubled over, trying to keep his mouthful of food from making a disgusting appearance all over the table as he was overcome with the need to laugh.
Catey rolled her eyes, patting him roughly on the back after he’d managed to get his food down and start coughing. “You’re such a perv Mikey.”
“That comin’ from you-.” Raph started, only to be cut off by Catey’s sudden glare.
“Not a word outta you buddy.”
For the sake of the group, Leo quickly switched the subject to something much safer and something hopefully no one would be able to read any sexual innuendo’s into. Though with this group, that was a nearly impossible feat. “You guys have any special plans for Christmas?” he asked the women as a whole.
“Not really. This was kind of a spur of the moment trip so any holiday plans are still up in the air,” Kris said.
“I was involved in planning the church’s Christmas play last year,” Catey said proudly. “The kids were so cute – the angel’s running around with their tinsel halo’s, the Sheppard’s constantly hiding the Wise Men’s gifts to Jesus around the nativity set. And the little girl who played Mary was just a doll. She was so helpful.”
“We usually have a huge souther-style feast,” Christy said wistfully, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips.
Donnie gave her a questioning look. “What exactly is included in a southern style feast?”
“Well, you know…go out, slaughter a pig.” Christy laughed at his look of shock. “The food is all bought, not slaughtered. Though it’s all home cookin’. French toast in the morning, sandwiches for lunch, a huge turkey for dinner.”
“We don’t usually go all out on Christmas like people do,” Mikey said with a wry smile. “Kinda hard to go Christmas shopping. Stores get too busy and there’s not enough cover. But we’ve always gone to Casey and Ap’s for Christmas Eve. April has stockings for all of us and she’s real good about fi-.” He cut a quick glance at Sammy and quickly reiterated. “At having Santa fill ‘em up for us.”
“Oh, I love Christmas stockings!” Kris said, her dark eyes lighting up. “Those are always the first to go with us. We make a huge breakfast and by huge I mean it would put this spread to shame, no offense Drea.”
“None taken,” the blond answered softly.
Kris threw a quick glance back, catching an undertone in her friend’s voice. Andrea was busy bustling around the kitchen though, making another pot of coffee and Kris couldn’t get enough of a good look at her to find out if there was something more going on.
“Anyway,” she pressed on, turning back to her audience. “So we open the stockings after the whole Christmas breakfast buffet. We all get a big garbage bag to throw all of our Christmas trash in. It’s a great time.”
“Hey Drea, what about you, sweetie?” Christy called out to the person who had oddly remained quiet.
Andrea looked up, her gray/blue eyes distant. “Hm?”
“Christmas traditions. What’s your favorite?”
Andrea lowered her gaze, a frown creasing her brows as she refilled her coffee cup. When she spoke, her voice was soft and Kris caught that same edge she’d heard before. “We um…we usually go pick out our Christmas Tree. My dad’s always been very particular about getting the perfect tree. Never fake. We…we go to this tree farm and trek around in the snow arguing over our idea of which tree would be perfect. Dad always wants the ones with short needles but they’re never,” her breath hitched and Kris immediately stood, going to her friend. “They’re never full enough.”
“Hey,” Kris said softly, wrapping an arm around her friends shoulder. She saw Raph staring at Andrea, his dark eyes filled with concern. He made a move to get up and Kris shook her head, stalling him. “I have an idea, hun. Why don’t you go down and talk to the concierge. See what we can do about getting us a real, awesome Christmas Tree to decorate,” she suggested, rubbing Andrea’s shoulder as she touched her forehead to the blonds temple.
Andrea sniffled once, then squared her shoulders and gave Kris a grateful smile. “Good idea. I’ll actually do that now. I ate breakfast this morning so I’m good.” She turned her bright look on the others – the three women who knew their friend was putting on a show, and the four guys who were confused by the lack of happiness they had just seen in the normally fun-loving blond. “You guys go ahead and finish up. I’ll be back in a few!”
She dropped a quick kiss to Sammy’s head, snatching up a few more pieces of fruit and tossing them on her highchair tray before she breezed out of the suite.
The room was silent for a moment.
“Someone mind tellin’ me what the hell that was all about?” Raph asked.
Kris sighed, rejoining the group. She looked at her plate for a moment, appetite currently forgotten. “She’s homesick.”
“But I thought you guys were on vacation? Doesn’t she want to be here?” Mikey asked.
“Oh, she wants to be here,” Christy quickly assured them, giving Raph a quick grin. “Especially now. But our little Drea’s a homebody. It’s hard for her to be away from her family for extended periods of time. Particularly on the holidays. Christmas is her favorite holiday. Especially after little Sammy came into her life. She’s always looked forward to explaining the miracle of the season to her.”
“She’ll come around. This is just a temporary snag. She’ll come back up, carrying with her the blessing to get a Christmas Tree and all will be right in the world again,” Kris said.
The conversation continued on the topic of Christmas traditions, Sammy having quickly been added to the group when Catey went to move her highchair closer to the table. They were all just starting to wonder what was taking Andrea so long when she suddenly stormed into the suite, slamming the door behind her.
“Drea?” Christy gasped, worried at the look of pure hostility on the older blonds face.
Andrea shook her head and made an angry b-line for her bedroom, not bothering with an explanation and once again leaving the group in uncomfortable silence.
“So…um, I’m guessing that didn’t go the way you thought it would and all is not right in the world yet?” Mikey asked.
Raph and Kris both stood at the same time.
“I got it, Raph,” Kris said, staying him with a hand on his arm.
Going to her friend’s door, Kris knocked softly. There was no response so she eased the door open and poked her head inside. Andrea was standing beside the balcony doors, tears streaming down her face, her stormy gaze staring out over the city. Knowing that there was nothing she could say right now, Kris did what she was best at. She crossed the room until she was standing directly behind Andrea, then wrapped her arms around her waist and dropped her chin to the blonds shoulder. Andrea released a shuddering sigh and rested her head against Kris’s, closing her eyes against a fresh wave of tears.
“He’s going to think I’ve completely lost it,” she murmured miserably after a few moments of silence.
“No he won’t. Give him a little credit, hun. We told the guys you were just homesick.”
“I am,” she admitted softly. “You know how much I love spending the holidays with my family. But-.” She lifted her eyes to the ceiling, trying to stay the tears that continually threatened. “But it’s not just the homesickness.” She turned to Kris, her eyes bright from tears and anguish. “We’re running out of time, Kris.”
Kris felt her eyes start to burn. “I know we are.” Together, they stared out over New York, thinking about their uncertain futures in this dimension. “Leo told me he loved me,” the Hawaiian quietly admitted.
Andrea turned fully to face her friend. “He didn’t!”
The younger woman couldn’t help the blissful smile that spread over her face. “He did. Of course it was when we were…well, you know. But still, he meant it.”
“Aw, Kris.” Hugging her friend, Andrea sniffled. “I’m so happy for you.”
“I’m not!” Kris said with a watery laugh. “Now it’s going to just be that much harder to say goodbye to him.” She pulled back, scrubbing her tears from her face with the cuff of her sweater. “I’ve wanted to tell him so many times. You know how much it’s killing me not to tell him everything.”
“I know.” Andrea looked over at her bed – the bed she’d spent another night beside Raphael in. “We still haven’t.” She turned her sad gaze to Kris. “I have. I usually tell him when he’s sleeping though. Never out loud.”
“Well what’s stopping you?”
Andrea shrugged. “I don’t know. I…I always want the guy to be the first one to say it. Though it’s totally irrelevant with this one. I love him. I’ve always loved him. I just…I don’t know how to tell him that.”
“Wow, this is a first. Andrea not knowing how to express herself.”
“Shut up,” Andrea said, laughing and nudging Kris with her elbow. The smile fell off her face not even a minute later. “What are we going to do, Kris?”
Kris sighed. “Make every minute one to remember. Take the time we have and run with it. I don’t know what else we can do.” She gave Andrea a wry grin. “Well, wait…scratch that. We could probably go out there and make sure that studly ninja of yours doesn’t think you’ve lost your mind.”
Groaning, Andrea rubbed her hands over her face. “Why…why can’t I control my anger?” she growled.
“Same reason Raph can’t control his. You guys were so made for each other.”
“I know, right?”
The two women laughed, then devoted little time to making Andrea look as un-mess like as possible. Once the tears were dried and she looked fully in control again, the two wandered slowly down the hallway to rejoin the others.
The first brother Kris saw was Raph. He was standing in the kitchen leaning against the counter, his arms crossed over his chest and a cup of coffee in his hand. When he saw the two enter, he arched a brow ridge in question and Kris gave Andrea a tiny shove in his direction. “Go make sure your man knows you’re not nuts.”
“Shut it,” Andrea grumbled with a tiny smile, shoving Kris right back before leaving her and walking somewhat hesitantly over to Raph. He set the coffee cup down on the counter and she walked right into his arms, sighing when they closed protectively around her.
“You okay?” he asked softly.
She nodded, swallowing back the lump of emotion that had suddenly risen in her throat. She would not cry on him. “Just homesick. I’m so used to being around my family during Christmas that it gets hard to be away from them.”
“What happened downstairs?”
“Oh…that.” She sighed and started playing with the end of his bandana that was hanging over his shoulder. “Well, the jerk off front desk guy pretty much shot my real-tree idea straight to hell. And he was a real jerk about it. I’ve never had anyone actually make me feel like trailer trash before.”
Raph’s hold tightened on her briefly and she smiled, anticipating his next words. “Want me to go kick his ass.”
“How did I know you were going to say that?” She pulled back, staring up at him and shaking her head. “Don’t worry about it. The guy’s an asshole. He’ll get what’s coming to him. Besides, there’s probably some kind of fire code about not having live trees in the room. Safety hazard and all that good stuff.” She sighed softly, her gaze focusing on a corner of the room that would have perfectly held a Christmas Tree. “It’s just one Christmas. I’ll get over it. I just wa-.”
Her voice was cut off as his mouth came down on hers, his lips seducing her into thoughtless oblivion. She opened for him immediately, giving in to the temptation he was offering her. When he pulled away, she staggered forward, trying to follow him, her gray eyes hazy and unfocused. She stared at his chest for a minute, then slowly raised her gaze to his, a lazy smile curving her lips. “What was I bitching about?”
Raph let his arm drop low around her waist, grinning. “Somethin’ about Christmas Trees.”
“Oh yeah…that’s right. Nice distraction,” she drawled, trailing her fingers up his chest and flicking his nose lightly.
“You know, if ya need a better one-.”
He trailed off, looking slightly uncertain about where he was going with that. She knew immediately he wasn’t talking sex. If he was doing that, he’d give her that look that made her entire body go weak. “Where you going with this?” she asked.
“Well, we gotta go home sometime today. You guys could always come with us and…I dunno…do some trainin’ with us.”
Andrea perked up immediately. “Really?!”
“Yeah. You guys know how to fight well enough. I’d take it easy on ya,” he said with a cocky smirk.
“Oh whatever. You go easy on me and I guarantee I’ll make you regret it.”
“Sounds interestin’.”
“Oh you just wait and see.” She gave him a sultry look before moving out of his arms and over to Sammy. The little girl smiled, seeing her mom and demanded that she sit on the floor and help her with her puzzle.
“Mommy mad?” she asked, handing her a piece.
Andrea shook her head, taking the puzzle piece and looking over the work Sammy had done so far to find where it belonged. “No, honey. Mommy was upset but I’m okay now. Hey ladies,” she turned to her women who had all been quietly conversing at the dining room table. “You guys feel like a trip to lair in a bit? I got an open invitation to beat someone up for a while.”
Catey’s eyes went wide and she whirled to face Raph. “Are you insane? Do you have a death wish?”
Raph snorted and rolled his eyes. “Oh, I can handle her.”
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Two hours later, as he stared up at the ceiling trying to catch his breath from a roundhouse kick to the stomach, Raph kind of regretted sounding as cocky as he had.
“Did I mention I’m part Chuck Norris,” Andrea asked, coming to stand over him and chuckling as she spun one his sais in her right hand.
She held out a hand to help him up and he grasped it. “You know, you could stop taking it so easy on me, Raph. I’m a girl, but I’m also a mom. Two years of getting scratched, kicked, slapped, head butted and bitten kind of makes it easy to tolerate pain.”
“Sparin’ a little different than gettin’ bit by a toddler, babe.”
“Mhmm, it’s easier. Come on Raph.” She dropped into a defensive stance and signaled him forward. “Just a little more rough.”
“Isn’t that what she said last night?” Leo asked from the side of the room where he was watching Kris look over their choice of weapons.
“No, babe…that was me,” Kris said with an air of nonchalance.
“Oooh yeah.”
Andrea went completely still, turning to face the pair with a look of total shock. “Did…did they just-?”
Raph was equally stunned. Never, in his entire life, had Leo ever said anything remotely suggestive. Next to Leo, Kris was grasping his shoulder, doubled over as deep, hearty laughter overcame her. “I don’t think that’s Leo,” Raph finally said, shaking his head a little.
Andrea held her hands out in front of her, still a little wide eyed. “Well, I know that’s Kris. Okay, you know what? I’m just going to forget that happened. Where were we?” She looked up just in time to see Raph rush her and cursed softly, sweeping her arms up to stop him. Their weapons clanged together, metal hissing over metal.
“You can’t get mad at me for this,” Raph said.
Andrea nodded. She wasn’t going to get mad at him. She needed to know how to defend herself and how to fight. Who better to teach her than Raph? That and she was still furious with that jerk at the hotel for making he feel so white trash. She knew she was a traditional person and she needed her family, needed holiday traditions to make her feel secure. But that didn’t make her feel white trash. Just thinking about the snide look on his face as he talked down to her caused her fury to boil to the surface again.
Slipping one of her sais free, Andrea ducked low and drove her elbow into Raph’s stomach, sending him off balance. She lifted her foot and caught him at the chest, tossing his weight back.
“Leo, get over here,” she shouted, her voice trembling with emotion.
Raph looked up at his woman, wide eyed. She’d snapped. He knew the signs. He’d been through that before. He quickly got out of the way and let Leo take over, knowing Andrea needed to unleash guilt-free. Sparring with him wasn’t going to do it. He joined Kris at the side lines, watching warily. “This is more than just home sickness, isn’t it?”
Her sad gaze fixed on her friend, Kris nodded. “Yeah. A lot more.”
They watched on as Andrea continually lunged at Leo. He blocked her attacks effortlessly and fought back, pushing her harder and harder with each passing minute. When tears started streaming down the blonds flushed face and her movements turned desperate, Raph moved forward to put a stop to the session and Kris grabbed his arm, shaking her head.
“Don’t. She’ll get it worked out,” she said, never taking her eyes off the sparing pair moving.
Raph stepped back and crossed his arms over his chest. “Never been on the viewin’ end of this kind of thing before. Usually I’m the one in Drea’s place.”
“Oh?” Kris said, though she knew just how true those words were. “How does that usually work out for you?”
“Not good.”
Blocking another thrust from Andrea, Leo countered with his own, using considerably less force than he had. She was getting tired and emotional. It was like staring at Raph when he was on the verge of stepping over that dangerous edge they all feared. But she was different. He had a feeling that he could keep her from taking that leap. He could keep her in control and help her back.
“Andrea, my next attack…I want you to grab my wrist and duck under my arm, then drop down and do a sweep kick, okay?” he instructed softly.
She nodded, her eyes taking back that focused look she had started to lose once the tears started. He lunged and she did exactly as he said, moving through the motions fluidly. He landed on his back and quickly flipped up. “Good. Very good. Now, I want you to watch what I’m doing and just block. Don’t attack, just block.”
He executed a series of attacks and she blocked each one, her eyes carefully gauging each attack as they started. “Perfect. Now, concentrate on everything I’m doing. Counter, but counter wisely.”
They continued sparing for fifteen more minutes, Andrea slipping more and more in control with every move, her gray eyes calculating. Everything he told her she did, following his directions to the smallest detail.
Once he was sure she was fully in control again, he called it quits. “Good session,” he said, bowing formally to her. When he straightened, he released a startled “oof” when the blond threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.
“Thank you,” she whispered.
“Hey, don’t mention it. Just helping a friend out when she needed it.”
Pulling away, Andrea laughed softly. “I appreciate it. For a second there I didn’t think-.” She trailed off, looking uncomfortable.
“Don’t worry about it, Andrea. I’m an expert at dealing with that particular mood. You made it a lot easier to snap you out of it than he does.” He said the last part softly, nodding in Raph’s direction. Then he added thoughtfully, “Though…now that you’re around…that mood never really shows up any more.”
That made her smile. “So you’re saying I’m good for him?”
“Probably a lot more than either of you know.”
“Hey, can I have my girlfriend back now?” Raph called from across the room.
“Actually,” Leo threw and arm over Andrea’s shoulder and the blond chuckled, shaking her head. “I was thinkin’ we could trade for a few hours.”
“Boy, that had better be a joke or you’re going to be on the receiving end of my fist pretty quick here,” Kris warned.
“That goes double for me,” Raph said. “Get yer arm off my woman.”
Laughing, Leo released Andrea. “So are we done here? Or did you want some?” Leo asked, directing his question to Kris.
She arched a brow and a slow, Cheshire grin spread over her face. “Oh, I want some alright.”
Leo’s gut clenched, lust fogging his mind. “Later, Kris,” he said with a wink, quickly regaining his control. Here, he was able to do that. Later on tonight when it was just the two of them, he knew there would be no way he could resist the temptation of her supple body and teasing words.
Rolling her eyes at her friend, Andrea turned to Raph. “How about we let them ‘spar’ and go see what the others are up to?”
“Sounds like a plan to me. You two have fun with you’re aah…trainin’ session.” Raph smirked at his older brother, giving him a quick wink before sliding his arm around Andrea’s waist and leading her out of the dojo.
“So, ready for me to kick your ass around for a bit?”
Leo turned to face Kris, a slow, lustful grin pulling the corners of his mouth up. She was standing a few feet away from him, hip cocked, spinning one of his katana’s and wearing a look that promised a night full of seduction.
Maybe I won’t be waiting until later after all, he thought, advancing on his woman while thinking of everything they could get away with now that they were alone. This was going to be one of the most interesting training sessions he’d ever had.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*
After a quick stop in the hallway for a heated make-out session, Andrea and Raph made their entrance into the living room where Christy, Donnie, Mikey and Catey were all watching Sammy, laughing at the little girl as she sat on Mikey’s lap and babbled half sentences while patting his cheeks.
“Waf!” she cried when she saw the red masked turtle. She held her arms out to him and he chuckled softly, picking her up and rubbing his nose against hers. “Hey there, munchkin. Miss me, huh?”
Her answer was to snuggled close to him and yawn, resting her head on his shoulder.
Andrea looked at the clock on the VCR – 12:45. Sammy was probably due for a nap.
“So, did you get everything worked out?” Catey asked, catching the older woman’s attention.
Andrea leaned against the couch behind Catey, ruffling the southerner’s hair a little before resting her cheek on the top of Catey’s head. “Yeah. For the most part.”
“Well, if there’s still part of you you’re not sure of, we kind of had an idea.” She looked around at her companions.
“Oh yeah? What’s that?”
“Weeeeell,” Catey drawled. “Maybe we go out tonight? You know, like to a club? Get some drinking done?”
“And how, exactly, were you planning on getting the guys in?”
“Standard hoodies and jeans, babe,” Mikey said. “We’ve gotten into lots of places like that. And it’s not like we’re goin’ high profile clubbin’ scene here. Someplace quiet, not too crowded.”
“And Sammy?” Andrea asked, stroking her daughter’s hair. The toddler had started to drift off, her head lolling on Raph’s shoulder when he shifted his weight.
“Casey?” Mikey suggested uncertainly.
“Does…Casey even know how to take care of a two year old?”
“Well, he’s got a niece named Angel who’s like 18. She’d probably be happy to help out.”
Andrea thought that over for a minutes. A full grown man and a teenager watching her baby. She might have to make phone calls every hour on the hour to make sure things were okay…but it did sound like fun. She wondered briefly why no one had said anything about April, then remembered the red heads frosty reception. No, April wasn’t one she would be trusting with Sammy any time soon.
“Well, if Casey’s okay with it-.”
“Oh, he is,” Donnie said quickly. “We…um, kind of already asked him.”
“Wow, everyone a little antsy to get out tonight?”
“Duh!” Catey and Christy said together, both laughing softly.
“Okay, well I’ll tell you what. I need to get Sammy down for a nap so why don’t we head back to the hotel. The guys can join us later when we’re getting her down for the night. Sound good?”
“I’m all for that, babe,” Mikey said, excitement lighting his baby blues. “I’m due for a night out.”
“I think all of us are,” Raph mumbled softly. He had taken to rubbing Sammy’s back in slow, tiny circles, coaxing the little angel to fall asleep.
Andrea watched him, melting on the inside. She hadn’t known what to expect when it came to Samantha and Raphael but since introducing them, he’d definitely surprised her. He’d slipped into the maternal roll almost as if he were made for it. She softened him, far more than Andrea herself could possibly do. “So, should I make room in the closet?” she asked softly, letting her hand drift over Samantha’s thick hair.
“Yeah. I’m gonna talk to Splinter but,” he paused to chuckle softly, “don’t see why he’d have any problem with me movin’ in with ya for a while.”
“Dude, did you just say you’re movin’ in with Drea?” Mikey asked.
Andrea and Raph turned to find they had an audience, all eyes watching them curiously. “I, um…kind of asked him to move in. I hope that’s okay guys…or Catey. We’re not going to be here all that much longer and...well, you know me. I’m just kind of impulsive like that,” Andrea explained.
There was a long, drawn out silence. Andrea was well aware of the fact that both Christy and Catey were staring at her, surprised that she’d made such an impetuous move so quickly. But she couldn’t help it. Raph, although he didn’t have the slightest idea, was the only man she wanted in her life. If it was only going to be for a few more weeks, she wanted every day of those weeks with him from morning until night and through the nights until the next mornings.
“Can I move in?” Mikey asked suddenly, breaking the silence.
Catey turned her wide eyed gaze on him. “I…um-.”
“What’s with the tension in here?”
Leo and Kris walked into the living room area, both looking considerably flushed and pleased with themselves. Everyone was too involved with the news Andrea had just dropped on them to pay much attention though.
“Drea asked Raph to move in,” Mikey said. “I was just asking Catey if I could, too.”
Almost immediately, Leo slipped into leader mode. “Raph, you should really talk to Splinter before making any decisions like that.”
“I was gonna, Leo. Yeash, not like I was just gonna pack up and walk out.”
“But…you’re going to move in with her?”
“Well…yeah.” Raph sighed and faced his brother, keeping his voice low. “I don’t mean any disrespect here Leo…but I’ve spent enough mornin’s wakin’ up in this cold, damp place in a used bed that still reeks like the dump we grabbed it outta. And I’ve sure as hell spent enough of my life alone.”
“I know Raph, I know. I feel the same way.”
“So why don’t you all come stay with us then?” Kris suggested softly. “At least for the rest of the time we’re here. You could still come home. It’s not like you’d be leaving Splinter permanently,” she added the last part cautiously, knowing that it was the fear of leaving his sensie alone that would play up in Leo the most.
Leo faced Kris, a look of such intense longing on his face that she was sorely tempted just to hold him. She knew they’d been alone for longer than any of them wanted to be. She knew that what they were being offered right now was something they never thought they could have.
Reaching up, she brushed her fingertips over his cheekbone before cupping the side of his face gently in her palm. “Just talk to him, Leonardo. See what he has to say.”
“You don’t know how much this would mean to us. How much any of this means to us. You…all of you…you’ve all been-.” He trailed off, not knowing how else to express the depth of the gratitude he felt towards Kris and her friends and they way they’d taken them all so willingly into their lives.
“Need a Kleenex, Fearless?” Raph asked, joking around to lighten the mood.
Andrea nudged him with her elbow. Her gray/blue eyes were slightly misted with tears. “You be nice,” she said, giving her red-masked turtle a little grin.
Raph returned it, sliding an arm around her waist and pulling her close to him. “I think what Leo’s gettin’ at here is…we’re really glad we ran into you ladies. You’ve all given us somethin’ we never really thought we could have.”
“Sex?” Kitty asked innocently.
The room went silent, everyone turning to look at Catey.
“Well…I mean…that’s what you’re all having right now…right?” She asked, trying to hide behind Mikey.
The silence was broken when everyone, with the exception of Catey, burst into laughter.
“So glad I landed me the cute one,” Mikey said, hugging her and nuzzling her hair.
Catey gave him a devious little grin, finally joining in on the laughter and hugging him back. “Damn right you did. Don’t say that too loud though. We don’t want everyone else to know.”
“Gotcha.”
The laughter had woken Sammy up from her drowsing and she turned her bleary gaze to her mom, holding out her arms and making tiny, whimpering noises.
“Someone’s ready for a nap,” Andrea asked, taking her and cuddling with the little girl. “Well, how about this? We got back to the hotel, get little princess here a nap, you guys talk to Splinter and just head over for super. We’ll take care of getting you all fed before we go out for the night. Sound good?”
“Well, from what I’ve seen so far, I would never turn down any of your cooking,” Donnie said.
“Well, I’ll take care of supper tonight,” Kris offered.
“Sho Yu chicken?!” Andrea asked hopefully.
“Yes, just for you, Sho Yu chicken.”
“Wait…why is anyone showing anyone chicken? How does that get us fed?” Mikey asked, earning himself a smack upside the head from Raph. “Damn, forgot your hands were free now.”
“Sho Yu Chicken is only the best deep fried chicken I’ve ever had in my entire life!” Andrea exclaimed. “Kris made it for us the first time she came to visit. It was amazing! You guys are in for a real treat.” Sammy yawning and starting to tug impatiently at her hair sent her into high gear. “Okay, so you guys come over around seven, we’ll feed ya, get Sammy ready…oh, call Casey and let him know. Aaaand, we’re off. Come on ladies.” She gave Raph a quick kiss, flicking his nose lightly and saying quietly, “Later lover.”
“She hath spoken,” Christy said, always amused by how quickly Andrea tended to rattle things off when she went into action and was determined to get things carried out quickly and efficiently. “I think she missed her calling as a drill sergeant.”
Donnie chuckled, hugging Christy close. He wasn’t willing to give her up just yet. “Ever suggested it to her?”
“Nah, we had a discussion about that once when she told me they had embroidered Sargent Hansen on the back of one of her swimming hoodies. I asked her if she’d ever considered the army or anything like that and she said she couldn’t stand the thought of a man bossing her around. Good luck with that, Raph.”
“Heard that!” Andrea called back over her shoulder.
“Like I said,” Christy grinned and pushed herself out of Donnie’s lap. “Good luck with that.” She turned and leaned down, Eskimo kissing Donnie. “I’ll see you later.”
“Can’t wait.” He pulled her closer, wrapping his hand around her neck and holding her as he brushed his lips against hers. When she moaned softly, he released her, ignoring his own raging hormones and giving her a wicked grin. “Really can’t wait.”
With a dreamy smile plastered on her face, Christy turned and made her way past the couch where Catey and Mikey were making out…heatedly.
“Okay you two, break it up,” she tried. Her command was ignored however and she watched, her eyes going wide, as Mikey pushed Catey back on the couch and started sliding his hand up his shirt.”Oh my gawd you guys! Come on!”
“Lemme try,” Raph offered. He reached over the couch, grabbed Mikey’s bandana tails and started pulling up.
“Ooooow, ow, ow, ow…okay, ease up dude, I’m off her! I’m off her!!” Mikey barked.
Raph looked over, studying the situation and the young woman laughing on their couch. “Hm, nope, yer knee’s still touchin’ her.” He started tugging again.
“Quit it!” Mikey tried not to laugh, but seeing his big brother in such a good mood wasn’t something he’d seen enough of over the years and because of that it was hard to be mad at him. “There…no part of me touching her.” Raph released him and Mikey looked at Catey, waggling his brows suggestively. “Till later.”
“Oh yeah,” Catey said, leaning up and stealing a quick kiss before bounding off the couch and trotting after Andrea and Christy. “See you guys!”
“Bye Catey,” Leo said. He shook his head, bemused by the amount of welcome insanity these four wonderful women and their little Samantha had brought into their lives. He turned to Kris. “Suppose you have to go too, huh.”
“Well, if I stay…you’re never going to get around to talking to Splinter,” she said, drawing closer to him, her fingers trailing over his chest.
“Oh yeah? Why’s that?” Leo grabbed the hand exploring him and lifted it to his mouth, kissing her knuckles.
“Because I’ve got plans. Wicked, wicked plans that involve a bedroom and a locked door,” she murmured.
Leo bent and slanted his mouth over hers, eagerly devouring her startled gasp, his arm stealing around her waist and pulling her fully against him. He released her just as quickly, giving her a charming smile. “Get outta here.”
“Yes sir,” Kris said, winking before turning on her heal and following her friends out of the lair. With all of them on the elevator that would take them up to the surface, the four women smiled and waved at them.
“I think it’s safe to say that saving the world is finally starting to pay off,” Mikey murmured, waving to the girls before dropping his hand to his side and sighing softly. “Thank God for that.”
Leo smiled at his younger brother. “Come on guys. Let’s go talk to Splinter.”
*~*~*~*~*
“Oh Catey girl, you have it sooo bad,” Andrea said, craning her neck back to smile at her youngest friend who was laying across the bathroom vanity, her head on a stack of towels, one leg draped over the second sink, the other dangling over the side.
The young southerner sighed softly. “I know. But Drea…he loves me. He actually loves me. After so many years of joking about how he was my boyfriend…sometimes husband, after years of people just thinking I was crazy infatuated with a guy that didn’t even exist…getting into fights with little girls who tried to tell me they were his girlfriend. Remember that?”
“Mhmm, I remember Kitty.”
Catey paused in her love-sick rambling long enough to laugh over the memory of the stand-off she’d had with a six year old at her rummage sale one summer when the girl had approached her with one of her Michelangelo figurines. “Now we’re here and the guy who I’ve loved for so long…actually loves me back.”
Andrea hummed softly, her thoughts keeping her distracted. That was three. Three down…her left to go. She was trying not to be frustrated but it was hard when Michelangelo, Donatello…hell, even Leonardo had dropped the big old “L” word on her friends and Raph had yet to say anything. And getting frustrated over it was just plain stupid. They’d only known each other for a hand full of days. Expecting him to go all head-over-heels for her in such a short time was ridiculous. But still…she couldn’t help but want what all of her friends were getting.
She ran her hands through the bath water, checking the temperature one last time before turning off the faucets. Reaching into the basket at her side, she pulled out a rubber duckie, a cup, a few rubber blocks and some tub crayons. Baby bath time was officially ready to begin.
Pushing her wayward wants to the back burner, she turned to Catey and pulled her off the vanity counter. “Okay love bug, head outta the clouds. We’ve got a baby to clean up.”
They wandered out into the living room where Christy and Kris were being entertained by little Samantha.
“She tried to get us to let her watch Sponge Bob, but we wouldn’t let her,” Christy said, giving Andrea a look of mock severity. They all knew how much the eldest of their group despised the cartoon and did their best to keep him off the television…when she was around. When she wasn’t, it was a different matter entirely.
“Well, thank you. I appreciate that Christy. You guys ready to give her up? It’s bath time.” Drea and Catey plopped down on the couch behind where Christy, Kris and Samantha were all sitting on the floor. Sighing, Drea leaned back and rested her head on the back cushions.
“Big sigh there, Drea. What’s goin’ on in that pretty little head of yours?” Kris asked.
Andrea shook her head slowly, then sighed again. “This is going to sound so ridiculous. I…okay, I’m really happy for all of you. I am. I couldn’t be happier. You guys are my best friends and have finally found the guys you’ve always wanted to be with. And those guys all love you. I just…I don’t know if mine loves me.”
“He does,” Kris stated matter-of-factly. “He just doesn’t know how to say it yet.”
“Well, could you beat it out of him maybe?”
Kris laughed her beautiful, hearty laugh and Andrea couldn’t help smiling. “I could certainly try. Give him time, Drea.” Reaching over, the Hawaiian placed a hand on Andrea’s leg. “You know you have the difficult one. For now, just enjoy the fact that he’s taken on Sammy without blinking an eye. I mean, have you seen the guy with her?”
“Yeah,” the three other women answered with dreamy sighs.
“He’s so cute with her,” Catey said.
“I was thinking more along the lines of natural,” Christy added. “I mean, the guy holds her like he’s been holding kids for years. And Sammy loves him.”
Andrea smiled softly, remembering the way Sammy had fallen asleep on Raph back at the lair. She trusted him whole-heartedly and loved him in the most innocent sense of the word. That was painfully obvious. “She really does. Okay, so he might not love me-.”
“He does,” Kris quickly corrected.
“Okay…so he does but he hasn’t said it yet. But you’re right, Kris. I do need to quit sulking and just focus on the fact that he’s been so open and accepting of Sammy. Guess I couldn’t ask for more, really.”
“Sounds like he’s giving you enough in the bedroom,” Catey quipped, grinning shamelessly at her friend.
Grabbing a throw pillow, Andrea tossed it at Catey, catching her in the face. Catey laughed and dodged the next one, tossing the previous one right back to Andrea who caught it before it made contact with her chest. “Well, am I wrong?”
Andrea gave a long suffering sigh and then her entire face lit up. “Nowhere near wrong. I didn’t do him justice in any of my smut.”
Christy stared at the older blond, her eyes wide. “Really?”
Andrea gave Christy a shrewd glare before rolling her eyes. “Oh, come on, Christy, you read some of that stuff. Can you honestly say I portrayed Donnie right?”
The red head thought about it for a minute before a wide, devious grin curled her full lips. “Okay, point taken.”
“Give up the kid,” Andrea said, standing and stretching her hands over her head. “The guys are going to be here soon and I want to make sure there won’t be much for them to take care of Sammy-wise while we get ready.”
Kris handed Sammy up to her mom and took the hand Andrea offered to help her up with. “Guess I’ll start on supper then. Kitty, want to help me out?”
“You bet. As long as I get to taste test everything.”
“Only when I say so.”
“Well, Drea…I’ll help you out, then. Did you need help with her?” Christy asked after she’d stood up and readjusted her sweatpants.
“From a nanny? Heck yes! And I could use the company.”
“Well, you know I’m good for both.”
The four women went their separate ways to get business done before the guys showed up – Christy and Andrea to the bathroom with Sammy and Catey and Kris to the kitchen to start in on supper. They hadn’t been at it for very long when the guys showed up early, Mikey knocking once before pushing the door open and shouting, “Where the hell is my girlfriend?”
“I’m right here, handsome!” Catey ran around the kitchen counter and threw herself into Mikey’s arms, laughing.
Kris rolled her eyes, turning back to her food and tossing a few more pieces of breaded chicken into her oil mix. The sound of sizzling and smell of deep fried food filled the room immediately. “Oh, to be young and in love,” she muttered with a little smile.
Two strong arms wrapped around her waist and Leo nuzzled the side of her neck, trailing kisses up to her cheek. “How about being slightly older and in love.”
“Mm, I’ll take it.” She turned in his arms and smiled up at him. “You guys are early.”
“Yeah, well…Mikey was antsy to get out and we didn’t have a whole lot going on at home. Hope that’s okay.”
“It’s okay.” She looked over to the door where Donnie and Raph still stood talking with Casey. At their feet were four duffle bags. Apparently the talk had gone over well. Her smile grew a fraction and she turned her gaze up to his again. “More than okay.”
“Smells great, by the way.”
“It tastes even better.”
Leo’s eyes turned a dark shade of amber and Kris’s breath caught. “I’m sure it does,” he murmured, before lowering his mouth to hers.
They were interrupted, oddly not by one of Leo’s brothers, but by Christy’s yelped warning, “Naked baby alert!”
The broke apart, both whirling in time to see Sammy come streaking through the kitchen as bare as the day she was born, running along as quickly as her little legs would let her. Christy and Andrea weren’t far behind.
“Sammy! Sammy, get back here!” Andrea demanded, laughter thickly layering her voice. There was a diaper clutched in one hand, baby lotion in the other. Christy was trailing behind, Sammy’s pj’s in her hand, tears of laughter streaking down her face. “Sammy, honey…you need to get ready for bed!” Andrea tried. It was a lost cause though. Sammy was fully happy being in the buff.
Noticing that they had company, Andrea smiled at Raph as she neared him. “Hey!” she greeted, then saw the bags on the floor next to him and felt her heart flutter. He was really moving in. She was really going to spend the rest of her mornings here waking up to him. She walked right up to Raph, kissed his cheek and said softly, “Welcome home.”
“Waf!” Sammy cried, also seeing the red-masked turtle.
He glanced down, his eyes going wide when he saw the toddler streaking at him in her birthday suit. “Okay, this is gonna be akward,” he muttered, bracing himself for impact.
Laughing, Andrea caught her daughter in mid-air just as she was launching herself at Raph. She swung her around in a circle, both of them laughing. “Ahh, mama’s got you! Now you have to get ready for bed!”
“No! Waff!” Sammy pouted.
“Honey, you have no clothes on. We have to get you ready for bed.”
“Waff!” the toddler insisted, reaching out for the red-masked turtle. “Waff, Waff, Waff!!”
“Diaper first, than Raph,” Andrea compromised, giving her daughter a no-nonsense “mom” look.
“Ooh, I’d listen to your ma there, munchkin. That look means business.”
Andrea gave him a lop sided smile. “Yeah, that look was perfected long before she was born. I have a natural “listen or pay for it” mom look.” She knelt down on the floor and in a matter of minutes had Sammy in her diaper and was up again, holding her out to Raph. “Here, she’s all yours.”
“Waf!” Sammy cried happily, snuggling against him.
“Hey sweetie. You bein’ good for your ma?” he asked, nuzzling her cheek and drawing a giggle from her.
“Yes!” she replied with a nod.
“Oh, I dunno. Doesn’t look like you’re ready for bed to me. No pj’s…that’s not ready for bed. How about this…you give me a kiss goodnight, then go with your ma, get your pj’s on and she can read you a story before bed, sound good?”
“K, Waff.” She pushed herself up in his arms and bussed him on the cheek before quickly whipping around to face her mother and reaching out for her. “Ni-ni mama.”
Quickly picking her jaw up off the floor, Andrea took her daughter. “How-? You know what? Doesn’t matter. Oooh, you’re gonna come in handy.”
“Better be some kind of reward for my services, babe,” he said with a lecherous grin.
Andrea rolled her eyes, but heat flared in her cheeks. “If you’re lucky,” she muttered before head off to get Sammy down for the night. Raph watched her for a minute, then shook his head, muttering a quiet “damn” before heading over to Donnie at the dining room table. Christy was leaning over him, pointing to the screen of the lap top set open on the table in front of them. He reached them just as Christy gave Donnie a quick hug, thanked him and started for the front door. “See you guys in a bit! I’m going to go get ready.”
A chorus of “bye’s” and “see you soon’s” resounded from the group in the living room watching television.
“Hey Brainiac,” Raph said, joining his younger brother at the dining room table and lightly whapping him upside the head.
Donnie stalled in reconstructing his girlfriends laptop to glare at Raph halfheartedly stating, “Don’t you have a girlfriend to bother somewhere?”
“She’s puttin’ the munchkin to bed.” Raph sat down beside Donnie, pretending for about two seconds to be interested in what he was doing before giving up all together. “Got a question for ya.”
Donnie, only halfway immersed back in his current work, spared Raph a quick glance. “Sure, what’s up?”
“Well uh…you’re the walkin’ dictionary here so I was just wonderin’ if you could-,” he paused, looking decidedly uncomfortable, “if you know-.”
“Maybe you’d feel more comfortable talking to Andrea about this?” he suggested lightly, not cutting off the conversation entirely, but leaving Raph an easy out if he decided to take it.
“Um…she’s kinda the last person I can talk to about this.”
That caught Donnie’s interest entirely. He closed the laptop and turned to face Raph, giving him his full attention. “Is something wrong between you and Andrea?” he couldn’t help asking.
Raph startled, then quickly shook his head. “No, no…we’re good. Actually we’re great. But um…” sighing, Raph gave a helpless shrug and pushed on, “how do I know if I’m in love with her?”
A slow smile of understanding curled Donnie’s wide mouth. Well, this was entirely out of character for Raph. All the more reason to treat the subject with respect and not make him feel put out. “Well Raph,” he started slowly, deciding to take the question and answer route. “What do you think about when you’re not around Andrea?”
“Her,” he answered easily, looking a little less uncomfortable.
“Okay, and you like being around her?”
“More than anything.”
“If you had to choose between busting heads and spending a night with her, which one would you choose?”
“Ooh, had to throw that one in there, didn’t ya?” Raph chuckled softly, fully relaxed now. “Her, hands down.”
“How do you feel when you’re around her?” he asked, getting to the heart of the matter quickly. Raph had always been quick so getting him to realize that his feelings for Andrea ran a lot deeper than pure lust was proving to be relatively easy.
“Depends on what we’re doin’,” Raph said with a suggestive grin.
Donnie rolled his eyes. Then again, maybe not. It was a well-known fact that Andrea and Raph had a hard time controlling their sexual urges around each other. When Sammy was asleep or if one of the other girls was helping Andrea out by taking care of her, Raph would usually take full advantage of the situation and drag her off to her bedroom. Sometimes it was the other way around. Regardless of who was dragging who, neither complained. “Okay, when you guys are not entertaining your baser animal instincts.”
“I dunno.” His older brother shrugged and thought it over for a moment before continuing. “I guess I feel…calm. Like that whole anger thing…it aint an issue any more. Whatever gets me goin’ she can stop it. She…she makes me happy.”
“Would you go as far as to say she makes you feel whole?”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“Well then,” Donnie reached over and clapped a hand on Raph’s shoulders. “Welcome to my world.”
“Thanks,” Raph said uncertainly.
Okay, so maybe this would take more than just a simple discussion. “Follow me, Raph.”
Donnie walked through Andrea’s room, coming to a stop when he was standing just outside the nursery door, which was cracked open two inches.
“She’s gonna get pissed if you interrupt. You know Sammy won’t go to sleep if she sees one of us,” Raph said in warning, coming to a stop beside Donnie.
“We’re not going in. Just do me a favor, will you? Stand here,” he grabbed his brother’s arm and pulled him over to where the door stood partially open, “and watch. You’ll figure it out soon enough.”
Rolling his eyes at his brother’s look of confusion, Donnie left the room. Once alone, Raph turned and looked in on his girlfriend, smiling at the sound of her hushed voice. She was sitting in glider, bathed in the muted glow of a small lamp, Samantha was curled up on her lap and twirling her little fingers around one of her mother’s sweatshirt strings as Andrea read to her.
“The Lorax said nothing, just gave me a glance. Just gave me a very sad, sad backward glance. He lifted himself…by the seat of his pants! And I’ll never forget the grim look on his face as he hoisted himself and took leave of this place through a hole in the smog without leaving a trace…..and all that the Lorax left here in this mess…was a small pile of rocks with one word…unless. Whatever that meant…well, I couldn’t guess,” she murmured softly, her voice sliding in and out of tones, making the story sound so natural and flawless in its telling.
Raph lifted a hand and rubbed at the spot that had begun to ache. It wasn’t a bad feeling. But he suddenly knew what Donnie had been talking about. Watching Andrea read to Sammy as she rocked her slowly, hearing the love for her daughter through the words of the story, seeing her do something that came so naturally…he suddenly realized exactly what Donnie had meant by feeling whole.
He moved away from the door, smiling in stunned realization. So he was completely in love with this woman. Now he could recognize that. He could feel it with clear certainty. He leaned against the wall, listening to her finish the story, put Sammy in her crib. The exchange of “ni-night’s” and “love you’s” made that ache swell and he swallowed hard. By the time Drea walked out the door, he was a nervous wreck.
She jumped a little when she saw him. “Holy shit, Raph,” she breathed. “Warn a girl next time, will ya?”
He grinned. “Sorry, babe.”
“You’re forgiven. What are you doing in here?”
Being a man of action, Raph did the one thing that came naturally. He left the words for later and pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her waist and suppressing the sigh of complete satisfaction when hers wrapped around his neck. She’d told him “welcome home” before, but honestly, he hadn’t felt home until this moment – when she was in his arms and he knew, without a doubt, that he loved her.
“You’re a great mom, you know that?” he asked softly.
Drea snuggled against him. “Well, it’s easy to be a good mom when you’ve got such a great daughter.”
Pulling away slightly, Raph framed Andrea’s face in his hands and just stared into those understanding gray/blue eyes for a minute before lowering his mouth to hers and kissing her slowly. She melted against him, as she always did, trusting him fully. Probably loving him and just waiting for him to say that he loved her, just as Splinter had told him. He wouldn’t keep her waiting.
He pulled away, leaving a breath of space between them, then very softly, in his gruff, accented voice said, “I love you, Andrea.”
She gasped and jerked back, her eyes going wide. Tears suddenly filled them and spilled over. With a wordless cry, she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. “Oh my God, are you serious?”
He laughed softly, hugging her just as tight. “Yeah. Wouldn’t have said it if I wasn’t babe.”
Pulling away again, Andrea looked up at him – looked for any sign that he was not one hundred percent sure of what he was saying. There was nothing. “I love you, Raph,” she finally said out loud, to him, when he wasn’t sleeping. “I love you so much.” She kissed him as she said the words, over and over, making him laugh harder.
“Easy babe. You keep this up and we’re never gonna make it out tonight.”
“Screw going out,” Andrea said, deepening the kiss she’d started. He groaned softly, giving into her and she smiled. “I’d rather stay in with you anyway.”
He lifted her and Andrea wrapped her legs around his waist. Never breaking the heated kiss, he started for the bed, only to be stopped when Catey came trampling into the room. When she saw what was going on, she was quick to protest. “Oooh no, no, no, no. We’re goin’ out, damn it. None of that shit!”
Raph tossed Andrea on the bed and whirled on Catey, yanking out one of his sais and twirling it dangerously. “You’re gonna regret that.”
Catey snorted, fisted her hands and propped them on her hips. “Don’t go wavin’ that thing at me, mister. I ain’t afraid of you. Now get your ass outta here so we can get ready!”
Raph glared at her for a moment longer before slipping his sai back into hiding. Andrea was lying on the bed, her face buried in a pillow as she laughed uncontrollably at the scene the two had made – the big bad ninja turtle facing off with the spunky little southern belle.
Shaking his head, Raph tried not to grin as he brushed past Catey, muttering the word “women” under his breath.
“Pfft, women? More like hormone driven men who can’t keep their hands to themselves!” Catey shouted at his retreating back before shutting the door. She turned to the bed where Andrea had managed to collect herself and was now sitting up, giving Catey an enraptured smile.
“So, does he?” she asked, referring to whether or not Raph loved her.
Andrea knew. Her smile grew and she nodded excitedly. “Yes, he does.”
“Thank God that’s over. Now we can have a mope-free Drea for the night…as long as she gets her scrawny ass up off the bed and starts getting ready.”
“Yeah, yeah…I’m goin’.”
Catey left her, only to return a half an hour later on a mission. “Hey Andrea, do you have any lip gloss?” she asked, strutting into the bathroom where Andrea was putting the finishing touches on her make-up. “I’ve got a ton of it floatin’ around in my purse but none of it’s the right color and I…eeeeyeeow woman! Plannin’ on giving the guy a heart attack?!”
The older woman turned and gave Catey a slow grin. She was hardly dressed in a gauzy, dark mauve dress that ended just above her knees, hugging the curve of her hips. The neckline, if you could call it that, was a thin layer of fabric that scooped nearly to her navel, leaving a good portion of her chest and abs bared to the wandering eye. Her shoes were open toed , a strap around her ankles holding them on. The dress was a mirror image at the back, dipping slightly lower, showing-casing Andrea’s tattoo and a good portion of her lower back as well.
“I was thinking about it,” Andrea said, laughing. “Well, no. Actually I bought this the other day and was looking for a reason to wear it. And I haven’t been out in such a long time, Kitty. I really want to make this a hell of a night.”
“Oh no, I totally get it. And,” she looked down at her jeans and orange and blue tube top and frowned, “I totally feel under dressed now.”
“Well, let’s change that, shall we? Maybe we can put two ninja turtles into comma’s tonight.”
“Drea, I love the way you think.”
The two women dug frantically through Catey’s closet until they found exactly what they were looking for – a strapless, orange satin wrap that’s skirt was long on one side and dramatically short on the other. She paired it with a set of gold strappy heels, a thick, gold bracelet and dangling gold earrings.
At the impatient knock on the door, Catey bid whoever it was to enter and grinned when she saw the stunned look on Kris’s face.
“Oh no. No no no,” the young southerner said after taking in Kris’s simple smock dress. “That’s not going to work at all. Drea, help the woman.”
Andrea took one look at Kris and grinned deviously. “Oooh, I’ve got just the thing.” She left the room, returning a few minutes later with a beautiful blue silk dress. It had a gorgeous white calla lily print, black silk trim at the bottom of the skirt that brushed right at the knee, a black satin waist and the only strap tied in a black satin bow over Kris’s right shoulder.
The Hawaiian stared at her reflection, swallowing the lump of trepidation as Andrea fastened a delicate silver necklace around her neck and Catey slipped her into a pair of black and blue pumps. “We’re never going to make it out of the suite.”
“Oh, yes we will,” Andrea said with conviction. “And we’ll send the rest of the evening tormenting them. In the spirit of the seasons…of course.”
“How does driving four mutant turtles to the brink of insanity play into the spirit of the season.”
“Cliff notes version. Jeez Kris, I thought you knew that!”
Kris rolled her eyes at Andrea but couldn’t help smiling. “You’re going to get struck by lightning.”
“Oh the big guy’s lookin’ out for me Kris. He knows mama just wants a treat.”
“Whore!!” Catey yelped, laughing.
“No kidding. Poor Raph.”
“Poor Raph?! You guys don’t even know. He…is a total tease.” Her eyes took on a far off look and she grinned stupidly.
“I think she’s having a moment,” Kris said with a roll of her eyes.
Catey snapped in front of Andrea’s face and the blond shook her head. “Oh, sorry. Went there.”
“Okay. It’s getting late and Drea, you still have a list of things to go over with Casey. Hopefully he’ll hear you through all that cleavage,” Catey joked.
“Shut up your face,” Andrea said, tossing a compact at Catey as she turned and went back to her room for some jewelry.
“How much you want to bet Raph just tosses her over his shoulder and takes her back to the bedroom?” Catey muttered.
“I’ll bet you 10 bucks and a round of shots that he maintains some control, but makes her pay for it later.”
“You’re on.”
The two women shook on it, checked their reflections one more time, then turned and made their way confidently out of Cat’s bedrooms, ready to make some jaws drop.

Sipping his beer slowly, Raph sat in the chair kitty corner from the couch where Mikey sat, watching his younger brother impatiently channel surf.
“Man,” the youngest said, tossing the remote aside and flinging himself back on the couch. “How long does it take chicks to get ready?!”
“Hour or two,” Casey supplied from his spot on at the table where he sat finishing off the delicious supper Kris had made them. “Least that’s how long it takes April sometimes. Four girls though…might be better off just orderin’ in.”
“I resent that,” came Kris’s smoky voice from the direction of the bedrooms.
Raph looked up, grinning in appreciation at what he saw. Catey and Kris came in, strutting like the beauties they were. Poor Mikey and Leo…they were going to have a hard time keeping their hands off those ladies tonight.
He looked at his brothers and tried not to laugh. Mikey, who never held back on what he was thinking, was staring slack jawed at Catey. He curled a finger around the neckline of his orange hooded sweatshirt and tugged uncomfortably at it. The kid was practically drooling.
Leo at least was more reserved in his reaction. His jaw didn’t drop. He showed no outward appearance of being struck completely speechless by the exotic woman that was his girlfriend. But his eyes said it all. There was a hunger blazing in the dark blue orbs that raked over Kris from head to foot.
“Hey, anyone home?”
“In here, Christy!” Catey called out.
Christy made her appearance and Raph just about lost it laughing as Donnie started choking on the water he’d been drinking and Casey started pounding on his back. Christy wasn’t taking it any easier on her man than Catey and Kris had. The satin lilac number she wore clung to her like a second skin, the skirt ending just above her knees. Black stilettos, silver bangle bracelets and silver disk dangling from the rope necklace resting against the dip of her collar bone finished off the picture.
Those guys were going to have a hard night, that was for sure. They were probably thinking that what Casey had said about ordering in was looking better and better by the second. Raph sipped his beer again. He, at least, was looking forward to a night out. He hadn’t been to the bar in a while.
The sound of heels clicking over the tile of the kitchen floor drew his attention and he lazily turned his head to the side, thinking he was prepared for anything. He thought wrong.
His eyes widened and his heart started hammering as Andrea sauntered into the living room. She was wearing his color – dark red. Dark red that did absolutely nothing to hide the amount of creamy flesh she was showing off. Her endless legs were barred from mid thigh to the black, open toed heels she wore. Half of her thick blond hair was pulled up away from her face, the rest hanging over her back and shoulders.
“Holy fuck,” he breathed.
As if she’d heard him, she looked up and grinned slowly, her eyes very clearly saying ‘Like what you see?’
Like wasn’t the word. It took everything he had to resist the urge to haul her back into the bedroom and rip that sorry excuse for a dress right off her. He barely registered Catey murmuring “I think I’m gonna win,” to Kris.
Raph quickly slammed down the rest of his drink, finding that his mouth had suddenly gone dry. He was in the same sinking boat as his brothers. He had no fucking clue what-so-ever how any of them were going to make it through a night out with four goddesses taunting them through every painful minute.
“Well, let’s hit the bar guys!” Andrea said after she handed a list to Casey and went over the instructions for Samantha. Joining her three friends as they grabbed their coats and purses, the group led the way out of the suite.
Raph stood, feeling slightly shaky and joined his brothers.
“Dude…there’s no way I’m going to make it through this night,” Mikey said, his eyes fixed on Catey’s retreating backside. “She’s killin’ me in that outfit!”
“Amen to that,” Donnie muttered. “I think I’m just going to tell Christy we’re going back to her place. Screw a night out. I don’t like the bar scene anyway.”
But, regardless of their words, Mikey and Donnie were all too happy to follow their scantily clad women.
Leo hung back. He sighed loudly, then turned to look at Raph. “Think they did that on purpose?” he asked.
“Think?” Raph clapped a hand on Leo’s shoulder, shaking his head. He was already missing the tempting vision of his woman who was in the hallway by now. “I know they did it on purpose.”
“Well, if they did,” Leo slowly grinned. “I think I just died and went straight to heaven.”
Raph released a short laugh. “Yeah? Well I think I died and went straight to hell. And there’s no cold showers here.”
Laughing, Leo threw an arm around Raph’s shoulders and walked with him out of the apartment. “Come on. Let’s see what else these girls have planned on torturing us with.”

The club they’d chosen for the night was a relatively small club close to the slums but near the main streets enough to make it a safe and respected facility, frequented by just enough people to keep the atmosphere comfortable. And the club, much to the excitement of the women, specialized in salsa.
“Oh God,” Andrea groaned as they walked in, the sounds of a sultry, salsa beat pouring from the speakers over the crowd of dancers spread out over the wide dance floor. “I’m home!”
“Someone stop her! Drea,” Catey reached out for her friend when Christy’s attempt to halt the oldest’s progress failed, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back before Andrea could make even one move for the dance floor. “Drinks, honey. What do you want?”
“You’re asking?? Whiskey diet honey. We’re livin’ it up tonight, right?”
“Right on!!” Catey bounced off for the bar once she had everyone’s drink orders and the rest of the group found a large booth in a corner near the dance floor, but far away enough for them to still have enough privacy for conversation if they wanted to. There was just enough room for all of them to squeeze in and enjoy the close proximity of their romantic interests. Kris made herself right at home under Leo’s arm, a grin spreading over her face when he leaned over to whisper something in her ear.
Christy and Donnie snuggled up next to them, smiling at each other. Or rather, Christy smiled at Donnie, Donnie tried to remember how to breathe as his gaze continually dropped to the tempting amount of cleavage she was showing off.
Andrea slid in next to Raph, gasping as his arm went around her waist and drew her impossibly close.
“You look incredibly sexy, babe,” he murmured next to her ear, the hood of his red sweatshirt hiding the fact that he was now nibbling his way down her neck.
Andrea dropped her head to his shoulder and her hand to his leg, running it slowly from his knee to the inside of his thigh. “Thank you. I was hoping you’d like the dress.”
He grunted a half-response before saying, “I’d like it better on the damn floor.”
“Well, that’s just going to have to wait,” Andrea said, trying to stop her body from trembling when his hand fell to her leg. She kept her eyes fixed on the dancers crowding the floor, concentrating on her breathing. It became nearly impossible to do so when his slipped under the skirt of her dress and his fingers played so very close to her.
“Drinks and shots!” Catey announce, smiling at everyone as she set a tray down on the table and started handing out drinks. Raph quickly removed his hand from Andrea’s leg and smiled at her tiny sigh of disappointment.
“Cutest waitress ever,” Mikey praised with a wink, accepting both the drink and the shot she gave him. “What are we havin’?”
“Tequila” Andrea, Christy, Kris and Catey all said at once.
“You all owe me a coke!!” Catey yelped laughing with her friends. “Throw some rum in it if you would please!”
“Oh my god, Drea…you remember what you told us about the last time you had tequila?” Christy asked.
Staring warily at the amber liquid in her shot glass, Andrea nodded. “I don’t know if I trust this.”
“Oh, you’re just having one. But I was thinking,” Christy threw an impish look at Donnie, “maaaybe we reenact a part of that. I’ve always been curious as to exactly how that worked. I know you told us, but I think I need a visual.”
Andrea threw her head back and laughed. “I can’t believe you remembered that. That was years ago, Christy.”
“Okay, does someone want to enlighten the rest of us?” Donnie asked.
Christy watched her blond friend expectantly until Andrea finally gave in with a sigh. “Alright, but we’re going to need salt and some lemons.”
“Way ahead of ya.” Catey slammed a large glass filled with lemon wedges and a salt shaker down in front of her.
“Oh jeez, you guys are a trip.” Andrea turned to Raph and smirked. “Hope you don’t mind if I use ya here hun. This calls for a second party. Give me your hand. Oh, and you’ll have to put a lemon in your mouth.”
He gave her a questioning look, but held his hand out for her. Her cool fingers wrapped around his hand, turning it wrist up. His breath caught as she pushed his sleeve up and lowered her head, running her tongue over the inside of his wrist. She grabbed a lemon wedge next and coaxed him to hold it between his teeth. He felt a little ridiculous at first but quickly forgot all about it when she shook a little salt onto the damp spot, slowly ran her tongue over his wrist again then grabbed the shot, downed it quickly, and took the lemon wedge out of his mouth with hers, her lips brushing his ever so softly.
“Jesus, Drea,” he muttered, his free hand gripping the table ledge as white-hot desire spiraled through him.
“Hey, that’s only one way to do that. The last time I did it…years ago, like when I was sixteen, the guys neck was the victim,” she said with a little giggle, chasing the lingering taste of tequila with a long drink of her whiskey diet. “I’ll get the next round. Kris, you in on this?”
The Hawaiian looked doubtful, her dark gaze fixed on the shot of tequila sitting in front of her.
“Aw, come on Kris. We’re on vacation!” Catey tried.
“Yeah Kris. Kick back, have a few. We won’t tell anyone.” Christy nudged the beautiful Hawaiian, winking.
“One night, Kris.” Andrea added to the persuasion. “You know you want to.”
“Oh, screw all of you,” Kris muttered, grabbing Leo’s hand and pushing his sleeve back.
“Whao, wait a min-,” Leo’s protest died off on a startled groan as Kris’s capable tongue slowly caressed the inside of his wrist. She mimicked Andrea, sprinkling a little salt over the spot she’d just licked, having him hold the lemon wedge in his mouth before tormenting him once more, slower this time, drawing out the moment until she was sure he was thinking of nothing more than what they’d been doing that morning. Then, tossing back her shot of tequila, she took the lemon the same way Drea had, sucking the pulp from it and shuddering slightly as the combined effect of the salt, lemon and tequila hit her system.
Cheers erupted around the table and Mikey quickly volunteered for the next body shot. “Come on Cat, babe. You can use my neck if you want to!”
“Mikey, no,” Leo warned.
Mikey just laughed, brushing him off. “Dude, relax. I’m not drunk enough to go throwin’ my hood off here.” He held out his arm for Catey. “Ravish me, cutie.”
Catey giggled and grabbed the salt shaker. “Gladly.”
Once Mikey and Donnie had both been subjected to the mildly erotic treatment the girls were dishing out, the tables were turned.
“Alright! So, Mikey…you start your brothers out here,” Catey directed.
“Goin’ for your neck babe,” he said with a grin.
Catey eagerly tilted her head to the side, giving him a come-hither look. Once his tongue caressed her flesh, her eyes slid shut and she had to fight to suppress a moan of complete pleasure. She grabbed a lemon wedge from the glass and gripped it between her teeth.
Mikey was enjoying himself far too much right now. He was enjoying the taste of tequila, the taste of Catey’s skin, the way her pulse tripped when his tongue passed over it, the way her cheeks turned that adorable shade of pink when he licked the salt from her. Grinning, he went in for the “kill”, taking the lemon wedge with his teeth, sucking it dry, then tossing it aside and cupping a hand around the nape of Catey’s neck, kissing her deeply.
“Take it easy guys, we’re drawing unwanted attention,” Kris said, trying not to laugh.
“We’re gonna be drawin’ a lot more,” Raph said, the grin on his face warning all of them that he was about to do something extreme. “You’re turn, babe.”
Drea tilted her head to the side, waiting expectantly. But he shook his head. Well, if he wasn’t going for her neck, then wha-.
“Oohmigod,” she breathed when his quick, capable tongue brushed a trail of wet heat over the outer part of her right breast.
“That’ll teach ya to wear somethin’ like that.” He grabbed the salt, made quick work of that part and eagerly went after it again. Andrea couldn’t help lifting her hand and wrapping it around his head, holding him to her briefly as her heart hammered unsteadily against her ribs. Raph pulled away, handed her the lemon wedge which she quickly put in her mouth, then he took the shot, and finished off the process in agonizingly slow motion, dropping his hand between them and brushing it against the apex of her thighs before taking the lemon, eating it and quickly tossing the rind in the glass before he leaned back. He looked very satisfied with himself.
“Dude,” Mikey said, in awe over what his older brother had just done. “That was…when the hell did you turn into Don Juan, man?”
Emboldened by his brothers actions, Leo took full advantage of the fact that Kris was lacking a strap and took a long drink from his vodka sour for liquid courage before lowering his head to the crest of Kris’s left breast and running his tongue in a slow upward stroke. The mewling noise that escaped her left a grin on his face. He reached for the salt, sprinkled it over her damp, mocha colored skin, then handed her a lemon. “Ready?”
“I’m ready for something alright,” she said softly, her sultry gaze boring into his. He had to remind himself to breath as lust clawed away at him. Later, he told the impatient part of his brain that wanted nothing more than to ravage her. He licked the salt from her sweet skin, threw back the shot, then went in for the lemon, flicking his tongue over her full bottom lip before taking it in his mouth and sucking the juice from it.
As with Kris, the taste of the salt, lemon and tequila hit at once and he tilted his head a bit to the side, his shoulders going tense. “Not a fan of tequila,” he muttered, grabbing his drink and taking a long sip to destroy the aftertaste of the liquor.
That left Donatello.
“Let’s see what brainiac there can come up with,” Mikey teased.
“Donnie?” Raph scoffed. “Knowin’ him, probably the wrist.”
Donnie kept his head lowered and for a moment, Christy was afraid that the teasing had gotten to him. Then she felt his finger trailing up her leg, pushing the skirt of her dress up until it rode dangerously high on her thigh. She had them crossed, so the inside of her right thigh was completely exposed. She was suddenly very grateful she had let Andrea talk her into going to a local spa for waxes the other day after Samantha’s nap.
His hazel eyes, alight with the mischievous look she’d come to love, locked on hers and he winked before sliding slightly away from her and lowering his head to her thigh, biting the flesh lightly before running his tongue over it.
“Whao!” Raph said, unable to stop himself form laughing at his younger brother’s boldness. “Guess he’s got it in him!”
“Boy, I’ll say!” Mikey agreed.
Leo and Kris both shot nervous looks to the bar where the bartender was watching them critically.
“We’re being watched,” Kris whispered to her boyfriend.
“I know. Once this is over, we’ll just stick to drinking. No more giving Drea ideas.”
“Agreed.”
Mikey, Raph, Andrea and Catey broke out into applause and cat calls when Donnie went in to lick the salt from Christy’s leg, leaving the red head breathless as she sagged against the padded bench.
“I want a redo!” Mikey muttered. “Which means, we need more shots.”
“Finish the drink you have, Mikey,” Leo said with a patient smile. “And no more shots like that.”
“Buzz kill” Raph grumbled.
“Well, you want to do more and risk that guy,” he said, nodding to the bulky bartender, “coming over here and kicking us out?”
Raph shot a covert glance over to the bar where a very large man with sleeves tattooed up his equally meaty arms, leaned over the bar watching them as he talked in hushed tones to a waitress. “K, point taken. No more body shots.”
Beside him, Andrea tilted her head back, quickly draining her glass of every remaining drop of whiskey and diet coke. One of her favorite songs had just come blasting through the speakers and she would be damned if she was going to sit through it. “Alright, I had my drink, had my shot…I’m dancin’ bitches!” She slid out of the booth and made her way to the dance floor, singing over her shoulder “I need a daaaance partner!!”
Everyone looked at Raph and he held his hands up, shaking his head quickly. “As hot as she is, I don’t dance.”
Christy sighed and shooed Catey and Mikey out of the booth. “Move it. I’ll go get her. Unless that guy beats me to her.” She laughed, noticing the look of fury that passed over Raph’s face as he watched some no-name guy approach his girlfriend. “No worries, Raph. I’m pretty sure he’s gay.” She watched a moment longer, noticing the flare in which the attractive Hispanic man twirled Andrea before moving into a more technical move. “Oooh yeah, he’s gay. Bet he has a friend who is too. Donnie, mind if I dance with a gay guy?”
“Not at all. Go, have fun.”
Christy set off to do just that and was immediately intercepted by non-other than Andrea’s companion’s partner. He introduced himself as Hector, explaining to her that they’d come out for their anniversary and had both been looking for suitable dance partners that weren’t each other – they’d been in the gay scene long enough to know they needed to be careful in straight clubs.
“Jeez, those guys are good,” Catey said, watching the way the two men moved with her friends, their hips perfectly in sync, each move executed with a sensual expertise.
“He’s lucky he’s gay,” Raph growled, his hand tightening around his glass. To anyone watching him, it looked like a direct display of anger. It was actually a display of Raph’s quickly unraveling control. He couldn’t take his eyes off of Andrea’s hips and the way they swiveled in such teasing, slow circles, off of those long, smooth legs and the way they kicked, wrapped around her partners waist as he dipped her. The dress may not have done him totally in earlier…but this was going to push him over the edge pretty damn quick.
“Come on cutie.” Mikey started pulling Catey out of the booth, drink and all. “I’m willing to try this whole dance thing out. Probably going to make a fool outta myself though. Hope you don’t mind.”
“Not at all, handsome!” Catey quickly finished off her drink and willingly let him drag her out onto the dance floor, squealing a hello to Christy and Andrea as her and Mikey joined them, doing quite well for two inexperienced salsa dancers.
“Well, guess I’m gonna go get more drinks. If I watch any more a’ this-.” Raph trailed off, shaking his head and moving out of the booth. Fuck, he might step out for a smoke too to calm his nerves. Desperate times.
“I’ll go with you,” Donnie quickly offered. He was in the same sinking boat as Raph and wasn’t liking it just about as much as he was. Those ladies were going to pay dearly for how wonderful they looked later on tonight.
Kris sighed and leaned against Leo. She was glad the bar tenders attention was no longer focused on them. The night had just started and she didn’t want it cut short because neither of them really knew how to control themselves. At least Leo…was…sliding a hand up her leg?!
“Wh…what are you doing?” she hissed, her body going stiff as his fingers tickled their way under her skirt.
Leo chuckled softly. “Just try to look normal. Can you do that?”
“I…I can…holy shit.” She dropped her head back and closed her eyes, resting one arm on the table while the hand of the other tightly gripped the edge of the cushioned seat. “I can try.”
“Good girl,” Leo leaned back, fully enjoying the scent of Kris’s arousal surrounding him. “Shouldn’t have worn that dress. Blue and silk?”
“Drea made me wear it,” she managed, gasping as one thick finger entered her.
“Breath Kris,” he reminded her, using his thumb and finger to slowly drive her mad.
“You…are an evil, evil man.”
“And you love it.” He increased his tempo. If she only had the slightest idea what this was doing to him. The rest of the night, keeping his hands to himself and not letting them rove all over that dark, supple skin was going to be torture. He could at least have this…for now.
Her scent intensified, signaling that she was oh-so-close to her release. She reached up, curling her arm around his neck and pulling him close. Her lips sought his and he gave in, tasting her sweetness, rubbing his tongue erotically against hers as she groaned softly into his and her body shuddered, her inner muscled clenching deliciously around his finger. He withdrew it carefully, kissed her once more softly, then sat back, a huge, satisfied smile on his face.
Kris sagged against the seat, her breathing slowly returning to normal. She took one deep breath, slowly released it, then opened those beautiful dark eyes. A slow smirk curled her swollen lips. “Do your brothers have any idea you’re like this?”
“They will if any of them come back any time soon.”
She sat up, her eyes going wide. “What do you mean?”
“I mean…that our sense of smell is pretty damn good and you smell like a thoroughly…thoroughly satisfied woman.”
She forgot to be stunned by that little bit of information and laughed. “Well, that’s because I am. Okay, I’m going to run to the ladies before any of them get back and take a not-so-wild guess at what happened here.”
Leo nodded, turning his gaze back to the dance floor where Christy and Andrea were now dancing with Catey and Mikey in a small group. They were laughing, having a great time. Raph had been so right when he’d said that they all needed this. He would never admit it out loud but even if he and Kris hadn’t just had their littler interlude…if they hadn’t been doing body shots…the company and the relaxed atmosphere was enough for him. Getting a taste of what it was like not to be hidden erased a lot of strain they’d all been under before these great women had come into their lives.
He watched Mikey moving in a crazy whirlwind as only Mikey could with his three eager companions and laughed. Yeah, they’d definitely needed this.
*~*~*~*~*~*
“What round is this?” Catey asked two hours later, her speech slurred.
“Um…” Donnie did a quick count of the shot glasses turned upside down on their table. Raph and Andrea were laughing as they made a little castle out of theirs. “By my…calculations…seven?”
“Won’t do. We need even-Stevens!” Catey took off, returning a few minutes later with another round of unidentified shots.
“What are these?” Drea asked, thinking she knew what she was looking at but not all together certain.
“Can you guess?” Catey asked with a little drunken grin. “Come on, this is one you told me about.”
Andrea grabbed one and took a whiff. Definitely jager. “Red headed slut.”
“Hey now…that’s my woman you’re talkin, about!” Mikey yelped, then checked himself. “Wait…no, she’s brunette. What the hell?”
Laughing, Andrea took her shot and held it up. “It’s the shot, Mikey. It’s a red headed slut. Cheers guys! After this, I’m cuttin’ myself off!”
“Aw, no fun!” Catey pouted.
“Yeah, well. One of us has a toddler to keep up with in the morning.”
“I’m callin’ it quits too,” Kris said before joining the others in throwing back their shots. “I’ve got plans tonight and they sure as hell don’t involve being fall-down-drunk.”
“Oooh, Leo plans?” Christy said with a grin and a waggle of her eyebrows.
“Of course, Leo plans. I can tell you right now, two more shots and there won’t be any waiting until later. I’ll do him right here on this table.”
“Yes she will!” Catey said, holding up her empty shot glass. “Frick, I need another drink.”
“No, you need another dance,” Mikey said, pulling her out of the booth. They staggered against each other, giggling. “You guys wanna be a bunch of doll’s and get us another drink?”
“We’ll take care of it, Mikey. Go…attempt to dance,” Raph said, waving off his little brother.
The two twirled their way onto the dance floor, laughing at each other. “Ooh, babe. You make me look good,” Mikey praised, wrapping an arm around his giggling girlfriend and taking her other hand in his.
“Well, one of us has to.”
The music turned to something slow, sultry and incredibly sensual started pouring over the dance floor. Catey moved her hips against Mikey suggestively and his breath caught. “You know how I said any time…anywhere?” she purred, nuzzling his neck softly before she nipped at the curve of his jaw line.
Mikey started frantically looking around. “Shit, you would throw that one out there. Place to do it, place to do it…” His eyes landed on a stage toward the back and he grinned. Stage meant back stage. That meant privacy. He grabbed her hand and yanked her towards it, doing a quick check to make sure no one was watching them before they ducked behind the thick black curtain. There wasn’t much of a backstage but Mikey took what he could get, shoving Catey against a wall and brining his mouth down hard on hers. She tasted of her usual sweetness and liquor – it was a drugging combination. Groaning, he swept his hands down the back of her legs, catching her behind the knees and lifting her. Her legs clenched around him immediately, forcing her skirt to ride up.
He impatiently reached between them, wanting nothing more than to feel how wet and ready she was for him. A combination of raging lust and shock slammed into him when he found nothing blocking his way. “You’re goin’ commando?!”
Catey ran the tip of her tongue over his bottom lip. “Mhmm. Just for you.”
“Lord woman, how I love you.”
She moaned, deepening the kiss, grabbing his bandana tails and wrapping her hands tightly around them as he drove into her with his finger repeatedly, over and over, driving her to the edge of sanity. Impatient, she shoved his hand away, pulled him free and directed his hard, aching length to her waiting heat.
He thrust into her hard, causing both of them to cry out from the intensity of the moment. There was no control…just desperate need, craving fulfillment. Their release came for both of them, hard and relentless, holding them both in it unbreakable grasp as Catey cried out and Mikey growled low in his throat.
Trembling, and only slightly embarrassed by how quickly they’d come together, Mikey released a breathless laugh and kissed the closest part of Catey he could get to – her shoulder. “Sorry that was so…you know. You just drive me kinda crazy like that.”
“Aw, that’s okay, Mikey. It was still amazing.” She pulled his face up, cradling it in her hands and smiling into his blue eyes. “You’re amazing. I love you.”
“Hey, what’s going on here!”
The voice broke through the hazy afterglow of sex and Catey and Mikey jerked, turning wide eyes towards the sound of it. Holding the curtain back and standing in the gaping opening was one of the bouncers. “What the hell are you two doing?!”
“Shit,” Mikey muttered, quickly placing Catey on her feet and helping her fix her dress. But the damage was already done. Before either of them could blink, the bouncer was on them, grabbing their wrists and hauling them back out onto the open dance floor where once-dancing couples stood, staring at the couple as if they were a train wreck.
“I think we’re in deep shit,” Catey muttered, ducking her head in an attempt to hide her face and the deep red of mortification staining her cheeks.
“You think right,” the bouncer growled.
Little did they know that Raph was quickly helping their situation along, working on getting them kicked out in a much more open, Raph-like manner. While Catey and Mikey had been going at it like two teenagers under the bleachers at a homecoming game, Andrea and Raph had gone up to the bar to get refills. When there, a sleazy guy with slick blond hair and a popped collar decided that Andrea was much too good for the likes of the “hooded wonder.” Nicknaming Raph had been his first mistake. Grabbing her ass and making a very loud suggestion as to what they could be doing if she just ditched the guy in red was his second.
“Hey, could I get a Grain Belt please?” Raph asked the bar tender, an edge to his voice that did not go unnoticed by his girlfriend.
“Grain Belt?” She questioned, diligently ignoring Mr. Popped Collar when he tried yet again to make a soon to be failed attempt at picking her up. “But you’ve been drinking Sam Adam’s all night.”
“I know,” Raph said simply. Once the beer was in front of him, he wasted no time shattering it over the bar rail, grabbing the jerk off hitting on Andrea by the front of his shirt and holding the broken end still grasped in his fist right in the guy’s face. “How’s about you back the fuck off, shit head?” he growled.
“Raph,” Andrea said, grabbing his sleeve and trying to pull him back, her eyes darting towards the bartender who’d lost his patience with them and was now making his way around the counter. “Crud, I think we’re about to get kicked out.”
The bartender grabbed Raph by the wrist, hauling him back away from the blond man who had clearly pissed himself. The sight was enough to help Raph feel slightly placated. Only slightly though.
“You two, out,” the bartender instructed, releasing Raph as he shoved him towards the exit.
“We’re going,” Andrea said hurriedly, putting herself between the bartender and Raph as fast as she could. The bartender may have been a big, dangerous looking guy, but he had no idea what he was up against. “We’re going.”
She caught Kris’s eye from across the room and nodded towards the door, mouthing “grab my purse.” She turned her head, a sight on the dance floor catching her attention and her jaw dropped. Catey and Mikey were being hauled across the dance floor, both of them looking like they’d just gotten caught-. “Oh, holy shit Catey,” she muttered, shaking her head. She grabbed Raph’s sleeve and started leading him out the door. “Come on, this is going to get worse before it gets better. I think your little brother and my baby girl just got caught doing the nasty.”
“What?!” Raph looked back over his shoulder. Any remaining irritation quickly vanished when he caught sight of Mikey and Catey being lead out by a bouncer behind them.
Kris, Leo, Donnie and Christy were quick to follow, both couples making it through the exit without incident. Once all eight were outside in the cold, they looked around at each other and broke out into loud, wild laughter.
“I highly suggest that we head home,” Leo said after he’d managed to catch his breath. “Unless there’s any other clubs you two feel like violating tonight.”
“Oh shut it, dude. You’re just jealous,” Mikey muttered as they started walking through the cold snow back to the hotel.
“Yeah, that’s it Mikey,” Leo muttered, sharing a secretive look with Kris. “I’m jealous.”
They had managed to find a liquor store along the way and Catey and Andrea ducked into it quick, grabbing two bottles of liquid warmth to accompany them back to the hotel. By the time the climbed up the stairs to the lavish facility, all eight of them were pretty well off, Kris and Andrea only slightly less than the others. They tried quite unsuccessfully to make it over the massive threshold of the hotel and back to the elevators. Luckily there were only a few around to be subjected to their drunken shenanigans.
Once up to the top floor, Christy and Donnie retreated to their suite, Christy impatiently pulling Donnie away from the others, enticing him with verbal images of what she planned to do to him behind closed doors.
“Wow, you know…I could have died a happy man never knowing what brainiac there does with a woman,” Raph muttered, sliding an arm around Andrea’s waist and following her into the other girl’s suite. Casey had long since fallen asleep on the couch. His light snoring resounded in the silence of the cavernous room.
“That makes two of us. Hey, you two sure you don’t need any help?” Andrea turned to Leo and Kris, covering her mouth with her hand to smother the sudden spurt of laughter. Poor Mikey and Catey hadn’t managed to make it to the top floor before passing out and were now being carried in by Kris and Leo.
“Yeah, grab her feet, would ya?” Kris grunted as she shifted her hold on Catey. “She may be a tiny little thing but she’s all dead weight right now.”
“I got her,” Raph said, collecting Catey from Kris with little effort. “These two are gonna feel like hell in the morning.”
Andrea threw and arm around Kris’s shoulder and sighed as she watched Leo and Raph put Catey and Mikey to bed, pulling the covers up over the passed out couple as they talked quietly amongst themselves. “You have a good night, Kris?”
“Getting kicked out of a club for the first time aside…yes.” She turned a vibrant yet tired smile on her friend. “I had a great night.”
“Good, glad to hear it.”
“And now…if you don’t mind, I’m going to make the night even better by letting Leo take full advantage of me.”
Chuckling softly, Andrea watched as her friend took Leo’s hand once he’d come out of Catey’s room and started tugging him in the direction of hers.
“Night guys,” she called softly.
Raph closed Catey’s bedroom door behind him and Andrea nodded in the direction of her bedroom, turning on her heal and silently leading the way. She checked on Samantha, happy to see that she was sound asleep still. Pulling the door closed to the point that there was only a small crack of an opening, she sighed softly and turned, stopping and going completely still when she saw Raph leaning against the vanity, his glittering, amber eyes fixed on her. She knew what he was thinking immediately and her body responded, heat pooling in the pit of her stomach and her heart rate increasing. That look clearly said he was going to make fast work of her dress.
“I paid two hundred and thirty bucks for this thing,” she said softly.
“Then I suggest you get it off pretty fuckin’ quick or I’ll be doin’ it for ya.”
Andrea quickly assessed the situation – he was a little more intoxicated than she was, so he wouldn’t be at top speed. She could probably use that to her advantage. “You know something, Raph,” she murmured, slowly closing the distance between them. “You always get to be the one in control, don’t you?”
Mesmerized by the way those full hips were swaying, Raph managed a nod. “I like to be, ya.”
“Hmm.” Andrea took his hand and led him to the bed, pushing him back until he was sitting. Her robe was still lying over the bed not two feet from them and as she lowered her lips to brush teasingly against his, she reached for it, sliding the belt free. “Why not let me be in control for once?”
She ran one hand up his chest, gently pushing him back until he was leaning against the headboard.
“Where’s the fun in that?” he asked with a devious grin. “I like watchin’ ya get all worked up.”
“Well,” she purred, her hands quickly tying adjustable knots in the belt. With that done, she placed it on the pillow next to his head and slowly guided his hands up until they were above his head. “Maybe you let me watch you squirm for once.” And with more speed than she even knew she possessed, she slipped the rope around a slate in the headboard and slipped the openings around Raph’s wrist. She pulled away quickly, grinning a cat like grin as she watched him pull his hands down, inadvertently tightening the loops around his wrists.
“What the…you tied me up?” he asked, stunned and completely turned on.
“Mhmm. And trust me.” She boldly slid her hand up his thigh, curling it around his length and slipping it free. “You’re going to love me for it.”
When she lowered her head, taking him into her mouth, he dropped his head back and released an enraptured groan. He already loved her for it.

Recovering from a hangover the next morning hadn’t been nearly as hard as she’d expected it to be. Catey had quickly worked her way through a pot of coffee, as almost everyone had that morning (their coffee collection was taking a serious hit) and by early afternoon was back to her bubbly, bright eyed self. In fact, she was feeling so up to speed that she offered to go finish up Andrea’s Christmas shopping with her.
“Mind if I go with you ladies?” Mikey asked as the two started throwing some last minute items in their purses. “You know, protection and all that. Can’t be too careful in this city around the holidays.”
They both knew he just wanted to come with to be with Catey, but played along. “Sure Mikey,” Andrea said, tossing him the coat they’d left hanging over one of the dining room chairs the previous night.
Once she made sure she had everything she needed, she made her way over to the living room chair Samantha and Raph occupied. He was quietly reading her a Christmas book she’d picked out and the little toddler was snuggled up against him, a corner of her fleece blanket gripped tightly in her little hand. The rest of it trailed over her and spilled over onto Raph’s lap. “Aw, you two make the cutest picture.” She kissed Samantha’s cheek, then turned to Raph, sighing softly when he caught her lips with his. “Love you,” she murmured, brushing her fingers over his cheek and smiling.
“Love you too, babe. See ya later.”
Andrea joined Catey and Mikey, telling the others they would be back in a couple hours and out into the New York holiday crush they went. They were shopping mostly for Samantha, Kris, Christy and the guys, having finished most of their other shopping earlier on. Mikey kept them constantly entertained – making suggestions, offering to try things on…mostly Kris and Christy things, being a sweetheart and ducking into Starbucks to grab them some latte’s when they started running out of juice.
Most of what they bought, they had delivered to the hotel, realizing quickly that there was no way they could carry even half of the items they’d purchased and after three hours, they called it quits. Had Christy been with, they might have stayed out a little longer, but both Catey and Andrea were quick shoppers, going for what they needed and not doing a whole lot of looking.
“Man, that was fun!” Mikey said as they headed back for the hotel. By this time, the sun was starting to set and the street lamps were flickering on one by one along with the Christmas lights wound around them. The crush was becoming much thicker, the sidewalks now filled with people who were free from the confines of their office and just starting their holiday shopping.
Andrea laughed at the young turtle’s excitement. “You say that now. Try it a few times and I bet you’ll lose that shopping optimism. You were really great though, Mikey. Thanks for getting us coffee.”
“Mm, no kidding. That was really sweet of you, hun,” Catey praised, reaching over and taking his hand in hers.
“Don’t mention it babes. It was the least I could do.”
They lost themselves in mundane conversation, moving along with the crowd, completely unaware that they were being followed until each of their arms were snagged in a punishing grip and the barrels of guns pressed into their sides.
“One wrong move and we won’t hesitate to kill you,” a snake-like voice said close to Andrea’s ear. She shuddered, but didn’t fight. Guns were one thing she didn’t mess with. “We’re goin’ into this alley comin’ up here. You’ll make this look natural if you know what’s good for you.”
Andrea glanced at Catey and Mikey out of the corner of her eye. Catey had gone impossibly white and Mikey looked straight ahead. His hood hid any expression. She could only hope he was thinking as wildly as she was right now, trying to find them away out of this situation.
Once they hit the alley, they were roughly yanked into the opening where a group of Purple Dragon’s waited for them. They started forward just as the man holding Andrea put a cloth over her face, smothering her. She tried not to breath, struggling against her captor. She heard two soft thumps – Catey and Mikey’s bodies hitting the ground. Her lungs burned and she knew she could fight no longer. She took a breath. Chloroform. The last thing she saw before the blackness came for her was of Raph and Samantha, snuggled up in that big, overstuffed chair reading a Christmas story.
