Virgin Revealed
"I don't believe you Betty . You've got to be kidding me" Veronica Lodge raised a

expensively waxed brow at her friend, Betty Cooper.

"Gee Veronica, stop sounding as if I told you I never brushed my teeth!" Betty was red

with embarrassment. She had just told her friend, Veronica Lodge that she was still a

virgin. They were leaving for college in 1 month, and had been discussing college life.

Well, actually discussing college men.

"I've not been a virgin since I was 16. That was the year we vacationed in Madrid. I just love those Spanish men" Veronica Lodge had a smile on her face like the cat who just had some very sweet cream. She had made sure she got a stash of birth control pills and condoms before they left and she had a 'ball'. Pun intended.

"Betty, you were always strange. As much as you love Archie, I'm shocked you didn't give

him any"

"Archie is clumsy in many ways. I just couldn't get into it with him. We tried a few times,

but it ended with his hitting me in the face with my bra or bumping his head when he

tried to give me head. I think that's what killed my crush on him. I'm really shocked Archie

wasn't your first, Ronnie"

"Well for the same reasons you have. Remember that bruised eye I said I got during

cheerleading practice last year? I lied. It was a bra strap in the eye." They howled with

laughter at that. Poor Archie. It was amazing how silly he seemed now that they were all 18.

Betty used to have a major, obsessive crush on Archie Andrews since they were children.

It was an embarrassment because Archie just led Betty around like a little lap dog. And it wasn't as if Betty was not a gorgeous blonde, blue eyed girl, with a trim and curvy body.

She was a tomboy, while her friends were model-types. But there were many guys (and a few girls) who would have loved to take her out.

Veronica Lodge was a super rich bitch type of girl, brunette, sexy and knew it. She had a

lot of money to be sure she always was the leader in fashion and fads. All the girls,

except Betty, followed Veronica's lead. Many guys wanted to take Veronica out. And did.

Veronica was boy crazy. She was the Queen B. ‘B’ for bitch that is.

She was supposed to be Betty's best friend. She was, most of the time. But when it

came to Archie Andrews, they were constantly at war. Veronica always won.

Archie would show his devotion to Betty only when Veronica was not available.

The was a fourth person in all of this madness and cat fighting.
Reginald Mantle III. Reggie, as friends and foes alike, called him, was a very rich,

conceited, player who was , as the girls said, ‘ a fine-looking as shit stud muffin’, and he knew it. He would tell anyone who’d listen to his bragging. What a jackass he was.

Tall, dark, sleek hair and a hard, muscular body. With green/brown eyes. They changed according to his mood. Word was when he made love, they were hazel. He was a sports hero who could sing, dance , and make love with the best of them. As quiet as it was kept, he had slept with Veronica Lodge 6 times. He had a time keeping her off of him.

But he never kissed and told. That was why the girls loved him. He played the jerk, but

was chivalrous at the same time.

This was something he did not want any of the guys to know. Reggie made sure he could live up to all of his boasting. The girls flocked to him. The guys hated him. He always dressed impeccably, a fashion model in the very male flesh.

It was thought that Reggie had the major hots for Veronica and a girl named Midge

Klump. He took frequent ass whippings from Midge's beefy boyfriend Marmaduke (Moose) Mason for chasing Midge, but it never stopped Reggie. He was either very brave

and strong, or stupid and strong. It depended who you spoke to about his actions. He

really didn't have the 'hots' for Midge, as much as the rush from adrenalin when Moose

or Archie went ballistic over his attentions to the sexy brunettes.

What ground his gears was that Reggie never understood why Betty and Veronica fought over that dweeb Archie Andrews.

Archie is a major klutz. He trips over his own feet, sucks at dancing, is mediocre at

sports. Plus a cheap skate. Drove a pile of junk called a car. What was it that girls liked , no, loved about that jerk?

Reggie was really having a hard time wondering what Betty Cooper saw that he couldn't

see in Archie. The girl was super hot, but super dumb. Maybe blondes were dumb, even if they got top grades. This blond was not having the fun she should be having. What's up with that?

"Look Cooper, I'm sick seeing you let Red hurt you so much" Reggie had come upon a

weeping Betty as Archie and Veronica had just walked passed him, all hugged up and

cozy.

"Leave me alone Reggie! Mind your business!"

"Whoa girl. Don't kill the messenger! You have a bug named Archie up your ass, and I'm the bad guy? Later, I'm outta here!"

Reggie was about to stalk off, when Betty grabbed his arm.

"Sorry Reggie. I shouldn't take it out on you. I am stupid for caring so much for Archie. I

know he doesn't love me, but I keep hoping..."

"Hoping for what? He gives you just enough to keep you interested. That's a mind game

he plays. I'll help you break it if you want" Reggie was feeling sorry for Betty. Archie

did play games with her head. Time to stop. He can't compete with the great one when it came to games. So from that moment forward, Reggie became Betty's champion. He

would ask her out, many times beating Archie to the punch, just to get the jerk pissed. It

worked. Archie was insanely jealous when Betty was with Reggie.

Reggie also introduced Betty to some really nice guys. They had been hand picked to be respectful, but attentive, really boosting Betty's confidence.

They had also been promised a serious beat down by Reggie if they 'misbehaved' towards Betty.

Betty truly appreciated Reggie's friendship, and he soon became her BFF.

Veronica could have Archie. Betty was now going out with James King, who was on the

football team with Reggie. She was considering going steady with him, when Veronica

hit her with this thing about her V-card.

"Am I a freak? Are there any other 18 year old virgins in the world? God it sounds weird'

Betty had endured the advances of James. He wasn't as clumsy as Archie, but she felt

nothing.

'If I give up my virginity, I have to feel something for the guy.'

So Betty was on a mission. She went about this as if she were interviewing people at a

social event.

She didn’t need to ask Midge about being a virgin. .

Betty knew that Midge and Moose had been doing ‘ it’ for years.

"Nancy, are you a virgin, and do you like sex?"

Nancy Woods was a good friend of Betty's who had a yummy boyfriend named Chuck

Clayton. Chuck was a good friend to Reggie and a great athlete as well. Everyone

assumed Chuck and Nancy would get married one day. They had been a couple, since

forever,

Nancy had almost choked on the coke she was sipping when Betty threw out that little

question.

"Whaaa, why do you ask?"

"I need to know. Tell me Nance. Are you, and do you? Please! This is important"

"Well, Bets my girl. No I'm not a V-girl, and yes! I love sex. It’s special when you do it

With someone you love. Or at least has skills in lovemaking"

"Bets, what is this all about?" Betty told her about the conversation she had with

Veronica a few months ago.

"Betty, you should never let anyone pressure you into something you're not ready for."

"I know Nancy, but I think I am the only 18 year old virgin in Riverdale, if not the world"

"Don't be silly"

"OK, who do you know that's a virgin? Oh, maybe Ethel?”

"Uhh, uh, not Ethel. Not anymore. She just told me about her new boyfriend, Paul. They got carried away on a retreat for teens the church sponsored this past weekend. Now Ethel has her own bubble butt boyfriend. Isn’t that fantastic?”

“Yes. She has to give me all the juicy details, too. Wonder how Jug will take that?” Betty

was astounded. “At a church retreat she was screwing? Wow!”

"Yep, I heard everyone was having a ball. I should have gone!” They both cracked up at

the thought. What were the chaperones doing?

"Me too. That’s it Nancy. I am a freak.”

Betty ran out of Pop's really feeling odd. She felt as if her virginity was a hindrance, not a

asset. It needed to be gone. She felt as if she was abnormal. She didn’t know why she felt this way, but she did.

She would be free when she was no longer a virgin. She would go to college a woman,

not a little girl.

How does a girl go about getting laid, and keep it a secret?
