Another truly outstanding story, JayDee! The opening was a nice set-up, and the use of Vandal Savage was inspired. I can totally see that guy pulling something like this. You described the scenario nicely, and Courtney was an excellent choice as a point-of-view character. I've always liked Stargirl, even if I didn't know much about her. I liked the sense of dread as Savage left her to the tender mercies of the facehugger. Perhaps in contrast to some, I thought the original ending worked just fine; it's probably the way I would ended the story if I had written it. That said, the alternate ending has its own charms, and works well, too. I might have wanted a little more about the struggle and choking from Courtney's point of view and what it was like to have the hugger on her face. But that's a small thing. Anyway, another winner!
